Ottawa is Concerned About “Violent Extremism”
Conference on the threat of domestic terrorism:
“The threat of violent extremism has increased in Canada during the pandemic — fuelled by misinformation and resulting in threats to politicians and public servants — top security and policing officials told members of Parliament on Thursday.
But while police and intelligence agencies are taking steps to detect extremists and prevent them from carrying out attacks, the government must also work proactively to counter the extremism in the first place, they added….
Richard Fadden, a former national security adviser and director of CSIS, said IMVE
(Ideologically motivated violent extremism) has been around for a while but it is now more intense, organized and co-ordinated.
Fadden said if Canada wants to counter IMVE, it must get to the roots of the dissatisfaction felt by those attracted to it, and their feeling that their views aren’t being heard.
Fadden called for more dialogue with those being attracted to IMVE, saying countering it needs to go beyond the federal government to provinces, municipalities and schools. However, he also acknowledged it can be difficult these days to talk openly about some things.
“I really do think that political correctness has reached the point today where it’s almost impossible to have a conversation about a whole raft of issues and if you’re frustrated with government and with society to begin with, this is not helpful,” he said.
No mention of returning to reality as a means of addressing this menace.

@ Old Rabbit…The COVID virus was just your basic common cold on steroids. Quit parroting the media hype and BS. Go find yourself a few suckers and brainwashed sheep to sell or pitch the scam/con.
The health don’t care workers aren’t burnt out because of “covid” — they’ve been telling you for years, even before “covid” — that they’re being exploited, with one nurse expected to look after 20 or more patients, being expected to work 12 hour shifts, being expected to deal with all the s*it the “doctors” don’t want to deal with, and all the other crap you’d expect from the usual vermin in charge of everything. If you want, you can attribute this to “underfunding” of health don’t care, but in reality it’s because the “doctors” and the “owners” are stealing all the money and “downsizing” the number of nurses so they can steal even more. It’s the same old same old. It’s the same in “education” and in factories and in shipping and in just about every place in your so called society.
