A train worker is suing a company who fired him for questioning “white privilege” diversity training during a conversation with his wife.
60-year-old Simon Isherwood, who works as a train conductor, was fired by West Midlands Trains for gross misconduct.
“After the diversity training held in March 2021, Isherwood forgot his microphone was still on and, speaking to his wife, some colleagues heard him questioning white privilege,” reports Reclaim the Net. “He was then reported by colleagues who were “angered” by the comments.”
“I couldn’t be arsed because I thought, ‘you know what, I’ll just get fucking angry,’” Isherwood reportedly told his wife in a conversation captured on a hot mic.
“You know what I really wanted to ask?… and I wish I had, do they have black privilege in other countries? So, if you’re in Ghana?…” Isherwood added.
Unaware that his microphone was still on, Isherwood complained that the company was “indoctrinating their views” that “implied all white people are racist – but I’m not.”
Isherwood was suspended and then fired after an internal probe found that he “caused offense, brought the company into disrepute and breached our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and the Code of Conduct.”
The former train conductor took his case to an employment tribunal where he hopes to win on the grounds of unfair dismissal.
“I am completely shocked, I was at home in my own time talking to my wife, it was a private conversation. I had no idea anyone was listening to me,” said Isherwood.
“I’ve lost my job, my income, my reputation, my health is absolutely shot to pieces. I’d worked there for 11 and a half years and never had anything but promotion, praise and awards and even now I can’t believe it.”
“All I was trying to do was understand the subject better – we had been asked to think of questions so I did exactly what I was asked to do. I said Ghana because it’s something I always used to talk about with one of my colleagues, who is from Ghana and supported me,” he added.
Isherwood is now seeking compensation for his “unfair, unreasonable and unlawful” dismissal, asserting that the real reason he was fired was down to “WMT’s fear of facing allegations from colleagues about my conduct.”

@chesterton: He was on a Zoom call, so that explains how he can be at home with his wife and still be on a “hot mic” with work colleagues. He probably thought he had disconnected from the meeting but hadn’t actually done so.
Let this be a lesson to anyone participating in virtual meetings. Always make sure your mic and camera are off once the meeting is done and that you have actually exited the meeting.

Mr. Isherwood just learned a painful lesson that white citizens are strictly prohibited from speaking the truth or speaking freely; only Jews, niggers, and other assorted mongrel invaders are allowed to speak freely.
I do empathise greatly with Mr. Isherwood, but I do have some questions about this “hot mic”. Was it something like a body-worn microphone/camera that a lot of cops wear? Was the mic set up that it actually broadcast somewhere where a variety of people could hear it or was it just recording and access to the recordings were limited to management? That “hot mic” turned out to be a “Hot Carl” for Mr. Isherwood, and for those who aren’t up on their slang for depraved acts, a hot Carl is when someone shits on someone else’s chest as an act of sexual depravity, also known as a “Cleveland Steamer”. I don’t know what kind of sick f*cks would be into such disgusting behavior, but I digress…
I have overseen a lot of investigations for misconduct in my time and it seems like Isherwood got railroaded, pardon the pun, in this one. Isherwood got screwed. Another white guy being thrown to the wolves over reasonable mild opposition to an absurdly unreasonable situation. The company had the unmitigated gall to claim Isherwood’s reasonable comments , made in private to his spouse, on an outrageously absurd policy “brought the company into disrepute”. F*ck you, assholes; the West Midlands Trains management is who brought the West Midlands Trains into disrepute and those sniveling scum should have the piss literally beaten out of them.
White people had better stand the f*ck up and be heard, and REAL soon. Done is absolutely spot-on in his comment above, most certainly including when he stated, “They want you to be surrounded by scum so that you’re fighting the scum and not your real enemy — them.” Done is correct when he stated we need to target those in the ruling predator class and hold them to very painful account for the destruction, death, and misery they have been so eagerly sowing.
