The Western narrative of the two-month old war in Ukraine imbued with the rhetoric of “democracy versus autocracy,” has dramatically changed with the assertion by the US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin at a news conference in Poland Monday following his and Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s trip to Kiev, that Washington wants to “to see Russia weakened.”
David Sanger at the New York Times noted that Austin was “acknowledging a transformation of the conflict, from a battle over control of Ukraine to one that pits Washington more directly against Moscow.” But this is not really a transformation. Sanger’s colleague at the Washington Post, David Ignatius, had written over three months ago that the Biden Administration was working on a road map to get Russia blogged down in Ukraine and attrition it in a way that it becomes a much diminished power on the world stage.
For the Kremlin, most certainly, Austin’s remark would not have come as surprise. As recently as on Monday, President Vladimir Putin repeated at a meeting in the Kremlin that the US and its allies have sought to “split Russian society and destroy Russia from within.”
The designed 2007/8 financial collapse was a scheme to bring down China and Russia, and, even to weaken the US.
Obama quietly blamed the UK for 2008. Just as Biden could blame the UK for making UKraine so much worse than it should be for an Amerika which is more focused, or should be more focused on China.
In WW2, the US was far more focused on Japan and capturing the Pacific Rim. The US entered Europe with boots OTG, when the war against the Nazis was more or less won, thanks to Russia.

So, 2008 and UKraine are directly linked, and I’ve held the view for a very long time, that when relations bloomed between China and the US, it had already been planned, that at some point in the future, the US would be fighting China for top dog position.
If we go back to the 70s, I don’t think the US thought that one day, the majority of the free world would be standing against them.
They let their grip slip. A string of failed coups. Failure in Syria, and now Amerika have been caught with their pants down in UKraine. NATO and their political leaders had plenty of time to plan for the economic fallout, IF, they gamed the current
situation. I don’t think they expected what they are curently dealing with.
The only think that changed about UKraine, is the fact that Russian sheeple now believe the Europeans have shat on them from a truly great height. The Germans have just announced their terms for restoration/normalisation of energy and trade relations… you have to laff. It will be many, many decades before Russia even considers any kind of melt.
It’s almost as if Germany and others, have taken a paracetamol overdose, they’re in hospital, and appear okay, but in days, their liver will fail, and they’ll die.
For the US and UK, this is one down, and two to go, Russia and China.
The real change is in the Russian fake news perception, where they now openly talk about using nukes and utterly destroying the UK. What does this tell us about Kermlin thinking? It tells us that they are having waking dreams about nuking the West.
