“How did you go bankrupt?” Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”
― Ernest Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises
“I do not say that democracy has been more pernicious on the whole, and in the long run, than monarchy or aristocracy. Democracy has never been and never can be so durable as aristocracy or monarchy; but while it lasts, it is more bloody than either. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. It is in vain to say that democracy is less vain, less proud, less selfish, less ambitious, or less avaricious than aristocracy or monarchy. It is not true, in fact, and nowhere appears in history. Those passions are the same in all men, under all forms of simple government, and when unchecked, produce the same effects of fraud, violence, and cruelty.” – John Adams
Hemingway’s famous quote about going bankrupt connects with so many because it is true on a personal basis and a civilization basis. It applies to individuals and empires in decline – like the American democracy. John Adams realized two centuries ago democracy was no better than monarchy or aristocracy over the long haul. We were handed a Republic by Franklin and his fellow revolutionaries, but we failed to keep it almost from the very birth of this nation.
As we rush towards our World War 3 rendezvous with destiny, aided and abetted by politicians placed in power by globalist billionaires hellbent on the destruction of our way of life, so they own everything and you own nothing, I can’t help but ponder who is to blame and could we have avoided this dystopian outcome.
The United States has been going bankrupt gradually for the last fifty years, both financially, intellectually, and morally. Nixon closing the gold window in 1971 and opening the debt door to morally bankrupt bankers and politicians set in motion a downward spiral accelerating at hyper-speed as we speak. The American Empire was born in the shattered global debris of World War II with the Bretton Woods agreement, which left the USD as the dominant currency in world trade, specifically as the settlement currency for all oil transactions.
The empire has been sustained by currency supremacy, military might, and until 1980, manufacturing superiority. Once the most highly educated nation on the planet, decades of lowering the bar, less than mediocre union teachers, and replacing education with indoctrination, has created generations of ignorant zombies incapable and uninterested in critical thought.

“The empire has been sustained by currency supremacy, military might, and until 1980, manufacturing superiority.”
Until Reagan, yea.
But American morons insist he was “Great” — and if they mean great fraud, liar and thief… I guess they got it right this once.
What does it matter, then? The country was bad, and because it was bad it falls by the wayside. It is logical and neither good news nor bad news, except maybe erring on the side of good, as the world loses a maniac.
“Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.”
(H.L. Mencken)

The United States of Amerika is a corporation with no intention and no ability to repay the debt in real dollar terms. The political hacks will not tell you they are up shit creek with no paddle, thus the game becomes keeping the empire alive while sacrificing anything they can – including us.
Thus at the end of the debt cycle they have 2 options, declare bankruptcy and default or hyperinflate. They will never voluntarily default and they are trying to hyperinflate but the bond market is going to revolt.
Skyrocketing interest rates is the free market saying we know you can not pay. And who says the Fed, a private bank, is going to forever buy Treasuries? What if they don’t? Why would the Fed allow the USofA take it down?
Another is to start WW3 with Russia and then blame the collapse on Russia.
So it appears they are crazy enough to beg for nuclear annihilation instead of facing the truth.
Megalomaniacs like Klaus Slob wants to rule over the aftermath like some dark perv lord.
The last thing the West needs is people saying democracy doesn’t work.
Without even trying to restore it….as suggested by Thomas Jefferson….thats what Americans guns are really for!!.
If Americans take up arms they absolutely must not be manipulated into fighting other Americans.
Rather they MUST pour all their resources into removing crooked members of the oligarchy for it is THEY who are largely responsible.
They should kick the tradition of former American presidents setting up libraries.
Think of the absurdities of the garralouse idiot Obama setting up a library.
As for Biden….its a joke even contemplating the idea.
“The last thing the West needs is people saying democracy doesn’t work.
Without even trying to restore it…”
Democracy never worked. Not outside of a book. It always set up a handful of dictators, a set of rich people to keep them in power, and 99% slaves. The problem is that the 99% are slaves, are kept in poverty their entire lives, and they have no way out and no say in what happens. That’s a dictatorship. Only the rich can’t see it, or they can and refuse to admit it.
If you want a working society then everybody must have a say, there must be no homeless, no poverty, and no people living in mansions ten times the size of anyone else. And nobody is in charge. If something needs doing then a group is set up to do it, they do it, then they disband. Nobody is able to set themselves up as leader of everyone else. The moment you have leaders you have slaves. Of course, none of this works without everyone being of like mind. And that’s why it won’t work either.
Your society is terminally ill because of greed, selfishness, arrogance and perversion. It’s everywhere.
From the Fed website:
https://www.federalreserve.gov/faqs/how-does-the-federal-reserve-buying-and-selling-of-securities-relate-to-the-borrowing-decisions-of-the-federal-government.htm
How does the Federal Reserve’s buying and selling of securities relate to the borrowing decisions of the federal government?
“All monetary policy decisions of the Federal Reserve–including buying and selling securities–are made independently of the borrowing decisions of the federal government and are intended solely to fulfill the mandate set out for the Federal Reserve by law–maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates.
The Federal Reserve purchases Treasury securities held by the public through a competitive bidding process. The Federal Reserve does not purchase new Treasury securities directly from the U.S. Treasury, and Federal Reserve purchases of Treasury securities from the public are not a means of financing the federal deficit.
In financing the federal deficit, the federal government borrows from the public by issuing Treasury securities, which are sold at auction according to a schedule that is published quarterly. The Treasury determines the types and amounts of Treasury securities sold at auction with the goal of achieving the lowest financing costs for the federal government over time. The Federal Reserve does not participate in competitive bidding at Treasury auctions, and the Treasury’s debt management decisions are not influenced by the Federal Reserve’s purchases of Treasury securities in secondary markets.”

I ask, is the Federal Reserve obligated to buy US Treasury Bonds?
The Fed is a private bank, and the USGov is insolvent. So why would the banker who insures other bankers want to buy the debt of an insolvent entity?

U.S. Treasury Securities
“U.S. Treasury securities (“Treasuries”) are issued by the federal government and are considered to be among the safest investments you can make, because all Treasury securities are backed by the “full faith and credit” of the U.S. government. This means that come what may—recession, inflation, war—the U.S. government is going to take care of its bondholders.”
Oh yeah? What about nuclear war with Russia?

“Full faith and credit is an unsecured method of backing debt based on trust and reputation.”
FULL FAITH AND CREDIT OF TOTAL SCUMBAGS???
Why in the hell do people think the US Government has any intention of paying back it’s debts?
The evil scum running the USA (an Israeli subservient state) laugh at what “they owe”.
Trump included – how many times did Trump default on his obligations? 6 times. 6 times his contractors got stiffed with his bills. 6 times Trump screwed the people that trusted him.
And Trump is a saint compared to Biden.
——————-
The US Dollar is a promissory note. If Russia nukes NATO and the system of debt implodes, what will happen to the value of the USD?
It will go through the roof because debts are denominated in dollars and everyone will need dollars to service debt. And don’t think the banksters are going to forgive debts in war. They will say you owe, and if you don’t pay they will bribe the political hacks to make non-payment a capital crime.
——————–
What about Social Security payments in a debt collapse? The SS system is a contract to pay – they must pay and if they can not pay then they will be forced to file bankruptcy.
Read this you fools:
Social Security Administration
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“The United States Social Security Administration … is an independent agency of the U.S. federal government that administers Social Security,”
It is private like the Fed. Ha! They all can go bankrupt just like any other private firm!
It’s definitely bottom-scraping to come up with political “leadership” like Biden and Harris in the US, Trudeau in Canada, BoJo and Liz Truss in the UK, Arden in NZ, Andrews in Australia, and so on. It’s an indication that western civilization has already collapsed to the point that only the sludge now rises to the top.
@Yukon Jack–Great comment and truth about the Fed and their system. Thanks!
If more Americans knew about the true nature of the Fed and who owns it…. Thank God I had a dad in the foreign exchange system at Banker’s Trust who told me some of the stuff Yukon Jack did in the 70s…he also said I’d be lucky if I ever collected Social Security…which, of course, will go bankrupt around 2030 or before. The collapse will happen, but We the People need to set up parallel structures and not fall for the criminal psycho elite “great reset”….do not comply…we need an alterantive system in finance with real money not fiat currency backed by nothing. Or barter…
Strategically speaking Russia might get stuck in a Vietnam War situation where one wins all battles but lose the war. Kill the enemy in their droves but lose the war nonetheless. To win America should have wiped out the North and with it, its ability to wage war. Russia might successfully complete the operation but Zelensky and associates will not give them peace. Peace comes when Russia finishes off Kiev’s ability to wage war, before WW3 breaks out.
People has been discussing free speech lately and the conclusion must be obvious – nothing less than absolute free speech or free speech no matter what. People in prison for illegal speech is unacceptable, and scandalous since only the ‘far right’ (more than two degrees to the right) is punished. The vicious, abusive, tyrannical, violent left is never ‘far’ enough.
The problem is American citizens lost their right to speak. Every man is a vote or every man is a political voice. Eventually, conservative traditional America will express its political voice thru the barrel of a rifle. This nanny Karen society needs to grow up – better to take some verbal abuse than a couple of bullets in the chest – call it toxic masculinity if you will, Karen.
Strategically speaking Russians and American Militias now are best friends. Putin could coordinate Americans Militias to his strategic advantage in a symbiotic (mutual beneficial) relation. The only thing missing for American freedom fighters to suppress the Bolsheviks is a central command.
Through financial fraud the Federal establishment became a monstrosity governed by traitors. How patriotic is to obey traitors? Americans now can express their political ‘voice’ at last – thank the Founding Fathers for that.
WHY IS USA IN DEBT ?
it got all gold of germany
it got all gold of Irak
it got all gold of Libya
where did it go ?
John Adams: “THERE NEVER WAS A DEMOCRACY YET”.
Fixed it for you.
Also, “majority rule” is a dim bulb idea.
Plato was right, only philosophers are fit to make decisions.
