Google has launched an ‘inclusive language’ function designed to avoid the use of politically incorrect words.
Users typing ‘landlord’ will see a warning that it ‘may not be inclusive to all readers’ with the suggestion they should try ‘property owner’ or ‘proprietor’ instead.
The word ‘humankind’ is a suggested alternative to what the online giant apparently sees as the controversial term ‘mankind’.
Gender specific terms such as ‘policemen’ or ‘housewife’ should also be replaced by ‘police officers’ and ‘stay-at-home spouse’, according to the new Google Document style programme. It is now being rolled out to what the firm calls enterprise-level users.
Many computer document systems use methods to correct spelling and grammar.
But nudging users towards woke language is being seen by critics as a step too far. Tests on the system have also thrown up major flaws.
A transcribed interview with ex Klu Klux Klan leader David Duke, in which he uses offensive racial slurs and talks about hunting black people, prompted no warnings.
But it suggested President John F Kennedy’s inaugural address should say ‘for all humankind’ instead of ‘for all mankind’.
Silkie Carlo, of campaign group Big Brother Watch, told the Sunday Telegraph: ‘Google’s new word warnings aren’t assistive, they’re deeply intrusive.
‘This speech-policing is profoundly clumsy, creepy and wrong, often reinforcing bias.’
Sam Bowman, of online magazine Works in Progress, said: ‘It feels pretty hectoring and adds an unwanted political/cultural slant to what I’d rather was a neutral product [as] a user.’
A Google spokesman said: ‘Our technology is always improving, and we don’t yet [have] a solution to identifying and mitigating all unwanted word associations and biases.’
Don’t use Google. Use other search engines. Okay, they are based on Google search algorithms, but Google doesn’t get your search data.
Get a deGoogled phone that doesn’t ID you, it doesn’t use any GAPPS (Google apps). Don’t use social media, especially Facebook and that messaging app they own, can’t remember it’s name. Don’t have ring cameras, down have assistant listening devices in your home or work. Using a laptop or computer is MUCH SAFER than a phone. A smartphone is the equivalent of having a deep state goon with you 24/7, in fact, its much worse.

As gooscum feeds into all the other search engines you can guarantee that they’ll follow suit — it will be “automatic” for most of them because all they do is pass gooscum’s results on to you.
This kind of thing won’t work because the pages they’re linking to will still have n*gger in them — so if I search for “nice kind black man” and it ignores all the pages with n*gger in them I won’t get bill cosby’s website in my results (he uses that word all the time). ie — their results will be useless. They’ll simply use “natural language processing” to “clean up” your search — no doubt some idiot will call it “AI” — and you’ll get the same results.
If they want to remove all sites that use n*gger then they can do it directly can’t they? You use n*gger and you’re delisted. Therefore, it’s just more mind controlling “look how good we are” from gooscum and your beloved “leaders”, both of whom you clearly adore as you do nothing to remove them. Why not burn down all the gooscum facilities and the “government” buildings? Those buildings belong to you after all, so you can do as you please with them.
Alternatively you can pathetically claim that you “don’t use google” (a fallacy easily disproved by searching the source of every site you go to for “google”). If you’re one of these, gooscum don’t care, because almost everyone else uses it, including your indoctrinated children who’re taught the gooscum dance at “school”.

Besides the obvious fact that if you use the internet at all you’re being continually spied on by all your enemies, why do you think a “deGoogled” phone will help you? Sure, it will be running some other corporation’s spy software, but the bigger problem is the network. The “government” spys on everything that goes over all networks. If you really want to be free from having everything you do logged and stored, you could pretend you’re safe with a “vpn”, or do it properly by using end to end encryption, but that requires whoever you’re communicating with to have the key, so you can only do it with your friends, and you may as well, you know, talk to them.

Use the DuckDuckGo search engine. I use it and it finds everything I search for well enough. If I search for something and then visit sites, Google ads for what I searched for do not appear, as happened when I used to use Google in the early years of this century. – Or is it also compromised?

Maybe so (who knows what they’re doing behind the scenes), but the moment you click a link in the results google suck up where you went (do a view source on the target page and search for “google”). So all you gain is google not knowing your search words. What does that get you?
