In late 1978 i was doing night shift in a factory north of Sydney, Australia. When I went home just before sunrise I would see the Orion Constellation just above the horizon in the northwest.
I left that job and in mid December flew to the UK. It was night time in the middle East when I looked South.
I saw the Orion Constellation and it was UPSIDE DOWN! I was still upright with my feet pointing towards the ground.
Since I was still upright in relation to the ground then the only way Orion could become upside down was for the planet to be round.

The most compelling set of essays that I have read on the subject are by the eminent researcher Dave McGowan, may he rest in piece. He proves beyond a modicum of doubt how the moon landings were faked.
Now, whether the U.S. military, with the trillions it spends through black budgets, has been there since is certainly plausible. Perhaps we have the technology to get to the moon, perhaps we still don’t. One fact is certain: the Apollo missions were pure theatre.

It is true the facts surrounding the Moon landings are up for serious debate. I thought when I started watching this video it would be just that – a serious look at the facts. Instead it was flat earth style nonsense that is an insult to the people who believe this site is concerned about serious subjects.
Just to be clear, I agree with the part concerning the facts of moon landing trickery. The other part at the beginning of the video is a turnoff to say the least.

I agree with Mike D and his comment above; Dave McGowan did some outstanding work on showing how absurd the alleged moon landings were. McGowan not only made perfect sense, he also presented much of the material in an entertaining and humorous fashion, especially his Wag the Moon Doggie piece.
So, my primary residence for many years was in New Orleans and there were/are a couple prominent NASA facilities on the outskirts there, namely the Michoud assembly plant and the Stennis space center where a lot of rocket development and testing is done. I knew several actual rocket scientists, engineers really.
One was a particularly nerdy dude named Philip I sometimes worked soccer matches with. I am a soccer (I know, football….) referee on the side. Philip and I were part of a crew on a club match one day and we had some time on our hands during pre-game. So I asked Philip directly about the moon landings as I had just read McGowans’ Wag the Moon Doggie. Philip the NASA rocket scientist quickly displayed a very uncomfortable look and did everything he could to avoid talking about it. That reaction was a clear answer to my inquiry.
Then I was at a party one night and one of the people there was another NASA engineer. He was an affable guy and he and his wife were a fun couple. I was having a conversation with him and I broached the space program and moon landings. He had a couple drinks under his belt and spoke frankly. He laughed and said, “Umbra (ok, he actually used my real name…), have you ever SEEN the lunar lander?? That piece of shit wouldn’t make it from here to Metairie (the closest suburb, just a few miles away from where we stood) let alone to the moon.” That answer was from an actual NASA aerospace engineer.

A rocket engine won’t generate thrust in a vacuum . Free expansion of gas into a vacuum means no force or work is done when hot gas from rocket engine enters the vacuum . No force exerted on vacuum , therefore no equal and opposite force to push the rocket. Like trying to paddle a canoe without water.

Theoretically, a rocket engine can certainly travel in a vacuum. It is propelled, in accordance with Newton’s third law of motion, by its own gaseous emissions and because there is no drag coefficient to factor in, all it needs is sufficient fuel combustion, to overcome its inertial state and generate thrust.

There are THOUSANDS of pictures, mostly from low orbit, but many from higher orbits (10,000km+) of the earth. Because rocketry as a hobby is so cheap now, for less than $5000 you can build a small rocket, put a GoPro on it, and within a few minutes … voila!! … you’re in low-earth orbit looking at a beautiful globular mass with the same dimensions that Eratostenes calculated 23 centuries ago!

You may instinctively scoff at such a proposition and dismiss it, therefore, as yet another example of a psy-op but I prefer to be thorough and so intend to order his newest book to satisfy my own curiosity. He has written three volumes on the subject so far, I believe.
What I will say, although, I don’t necessarily aver to it being indicative of a spook effort, is that the sheer volume of research committed to the subject, in order to rapidly produce three beautifully presented books, in top-quality editions, abundant with technical illustrations with splendid colouration, is typically suggestive of a collective effort and financial patronage. Such suspicion could easily be in error, however. He might have made a lot of money from his music and simply have great finesse for visual presentation, with a facility for lucid astrophysical exposition, to boot.
I think we might be hearing a bit more about Vibes Of Cosmos soon. He has his own, less than expository, YouTube channel also and is now being promoted enthusiastically by the wide-eyed Flat Earth advocate, Divergent.

Like most people, I was raised believing in the Apollo landings. My own German father (who was a professor of math and physics at John Carrol University) loved the moon landings and was also employed at General Electric was pals with some of the NASA Lewis research center scientists in Cleveland Ohio – talked endlessly about the moon landing as the greatest achievement of mankind. And at my dad’s cabin he had glossy prints of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon, the rover, etc. So growing up I did not doubt the moon landing – just like most people.
But one day – by chance – thinking about probability equations and going to the moon my belief in the moon mission was shattered. I assigned a 90% probability of success to each phase of the moon mission – launch/achieving orbit/going to moon/establishing moon orbit/descending to lunar surface/walking on moon/ascent to lunar orbit/docking with orbiter/returning to earth/establishing earth orbit/landing on earth. So the overall probability is 0.9 multiplied eleven times.
Probability of moon mission success = 0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9×0.9=0.1 or around 10% chance and they did it 6 times without error. Sure they did. LIARS!

So you are to believe NASA pulled it off the first time without catastrophe back in 1969 when the Space Shuttle blew up twice, and every other cutting edge rocket/airframe is met with a fiery end in test phase. Now look at a map of the globe, flattened. Go to Bali/Taiwan and draw a flight path to Los Angeles. Look at it? What is the nearest land mass to LA on a Bali/Taiwan flight path? Remember this is an EMERGENCY LANDING? The closest land mass, by far is Hawaii. Why did it not stop there? Why go thousands of miles out of the way, diverting from Honolulu for example? Is there no airport on Honolulu? Can you only get to Hawaii by boat?

I’ve told you and people on this forum, time and time again; I only deal in the truth and more so I always correct myself if I have spoken in error (which hasn’t ever happened actually), although I did in my previous pseudonym on TT. I have also told you and others on this forum that if you have any critical thinking ability and you seek the truth, you will come to the overwhelming conclusion that the earth is, most certainly, a flat plane that goes on for millions of miles. How deep? I don’t know. We’ve only gone 8 miles, but there’s another world below us, that’s for sure.
I agree with White Elephant’s 12.56 pm sentiment and have, myself, thought for a good while, that the four-day guillotine on comments, inhibits a richer, more considered conversation.
Sometimes, I decide not to contribute to a discussion because I perceive that the complexity of an issue or the philosophic consideration that a certain proposition requires, simply cannot be judiciously addressed in short-duration exchange. If insufficient time is allowed for thoughtful gestation, then the quality of the critical scrutiny, as well as the finesse of the antithetical rhetoric is diminished.
In some ways, the limited window for contributing comment, is a wholesome challenge, of both wit and learning. I’ve flown on some of the flight paths mentioned and they cross Alaska. To plot the shortest route take a globe, stretch a string from LA and Taiwan and you will see that it follows the shortest route and remember that potential emergency landings means that these flights will stick close to the coast where feasible. Prevailing winds are also a factor as well as avoiding restricted flight paths. That also includes flights from Europe to Asia. All flat maps resort to distortions of a sphere, so it’s pointless to ask others to refute the examples you cite. It’s easy, get a length of string and go to a globe, you will see for yourself. Regarding seeing Chicago, lighthouses, cathedrals and mountains from up to sixty miles away. I’ve used a 10″ diameter f5.6 focal length telescope and astronomy binoculars over three of the Great Lakes to see lighthouses, Toronto, Rochester, Toledo and ships on Georgian Bay. I guarantee that all objects begin degrade to a blur or outline past five miles. I went to Lake Erie again a week ago after using my maps and google maps to get distances for some light houses, a city and “nuclear reactor” chimneys. I also used to camp with my wife on Georgian Bay and over an evening you can see the ships dispensary from the bottom up and finally the ship lights go below. Don’t get angry, I’m not making this up. Weather permitting, I will make a point again of looking at some lighthouses, buildings and “nuclear reactor” stacks across the water from different distances this weekend.
Another thing, one can’t use 8 inches squared beyond a few miles like Bob Skiba or you end up making gross mathematical errors regarding how far below the horizon a object should appear. Some of the comments here and on the videos you cite also offer corrections but it’s better to familiarize yourself with the formulas if you want to argue with Yukon Jack who resorts to a defective formula. Asking someone to refute ‘not feeling motion’ if we are traveling thousands of miles per hour in different directions or why the oceans and atmosphere stay put etc. is also pointless if you can’t grasp electrical/magnetic forces. It’s a ten year course and it involves complex theories. Faraday, Maxwell, Heaviside and Tesla were very creative. There is a fascinating world of geometry and magnetic fields within three phase induction motors alone. So, men never went to the moon, no satellites in continuous space orbit, no ISS, no Mars landers, no thermonuclear bombs, no cities powered by plutonium but that doesn’t mean the earth is flat. First off, one doesn’t need a mathematician to tell them 2+2 = 4 . Many of the fallacies in the globe./ helio model can be disproved by a child or by anyone with a modicum of common sense . I was studying atmospheric science in college many years ago. Never finished a degree in that field , but I had college level calculus and physics . That rockets in a vacuum chamber experiment is a joke. He lost all credibility from the start when he said he was responding to flat earth conspiracy theorists. Your explanation of Newtons third law is incoherent. The gases expelled from a rocket in our atmosphere heat and compress the air. Work is being done.This energy transfer to the atmosphere is the action. The reaction then propels the rocket. This doesn’t happen in a vacuum. No work or force exerted on the vacuum , so no equal and opposite force to drive the rocket.

They don’t use globe earth model to navigate. A plane doesn’t make an arc in the sky to follow imaginary curvature. They fly in a straight line. The youtube video of “earth at La Grange point 1” is totally fake. The first indication that it nothing more than CGI is there are no date stamps on this fake low quality “video”. This is as bad as the fake moon in front of the earth video. In this case they never take a picture of the moon? Why not also take a picture of the moon since you are so close and have a satellite and camera that cost billions of dollars? And why have only one low resolution ‘camera’ for billions of dollars? And no raw video or change of position or pan or zoom or active focusing for billions of dollars! That would allow viewers to look at cloud formations and go back to weather reports of tropical storms. Some of the clouds are meant to represent tropical storms so that alone would require a sophisticated level of fakery. Ha! It would have been too difficult to correlate the fakery with specific dates. Secondly, at L1 there would be a terminator running in an arc dividing night and day and you could also correlate sunrise and sunset times with cities around the globe. Another very difficult thing to fake. So they pretend they took a photo for each day at precisely the moment the earth is completely lit.
Even if the ‘satellite’ they pretend to have placed in orbit has solar panel powered gyroscope stabilizers it would require a fuel for positional thrusters to maintain its position to align for those ‘photographs’. Regardless of what NASA claims regarding gravitational equivalence between the moon and earth, it’s impossible for a satellite to remain in the exact position over a year without thrusts using fuel and that would require a lot of fuel over a year. It’s nothing more than the old “pale blue marble” painting from the sixties layered with photoshop cloud formations, some of which remain in the same place over a month, let alone a year. Slight variations in gravitation from the sun, earth and moon will alter its position because the earth and moon have elliptical orbits. Remember, the ‘satellite’ NASA pretends to have placed at L1 would also move along with the point of equivalence.
Then there is the issue of NO STARS, many of them bright enough to be visible no matter what they claim about the earth being too bright and they have to lower the exposure to the point that none of them would be visible. Another glaring proof of fakery is there are NO PLANETS. Even if you buy the BS about stars being too dim relative to a full lit earth, the fact that they never capture even a glimpse of Venus, Saturn or Jupiter is another thing they wouldn’t attempt to fake. My hope is that those who earnestly believe in such nonsense and farce at least develop the humility to admit how embarrassingly little they know. There is NOTHING wrong with not knowing about any topic. I know NOTHING about painting (oil based, water color, etc) … BUT … the big BUT, I have the insight and the humility to recognize that fact, and not spew nonsense about the painting techniques used by daVinci or Monet.

Again, if you both knew about orthographic projection, you would never make such cringe-worthy comments. Much of the “flat” earth joke can be debunked by these concepts that are evident to the educated. Hence my insistence on a solid foundation of math, geometry, physics.

If you tell me to refute the sun is moving away from earth because and observer on earth sees the disc getting apparently smaller – that is like you telling me to disprove the Easter Bunny – your assertion is so totally wrong that I can’t stop laughing at how ridiculous the challenge is.
Because of the atmosphere the sun appears to change size from dawn to dusk. I appears larger on the horizon in the morning so you say oh look how it grows smaller as it rises. First of all it does not change size or distance from earth because two observable things would have to happen to confirm your assertion:
1. If in the morning the sun is closer – the radiation would be much greater. But if you hold up a watt meter the sun radiation is the lowest on the horizon – exactly the opposite of your claim. Then at midday – with the sun directly overhead – it looks really small – but the radiation is the greatest. You seem to have fallen for the sun optical illusion from different angles in the atmosphere – but not surprising for someone “learned” if flat earth idiocy.
2. If the sun earth distance was change earth’s orbital period would also have to change – and it does not – which proves the sun is always the same distance away. This reveals that you have no training or knowledge in celestial mechanics – so of course I just ignore the ignoramus and try not to laugh in your face. You can’t have a reaction to propel the rocket if there’s no action or force exerted on the vacuum. The gas exhaust from a rocket doesn’t transfer energy to the vacuum . You need a medium to transfer energy from gases expelled by rocket.. No energy transfer , no work done , no opposite force to drive rocket. Now , theoretically if you fired a cannonball out of rocket in space. the solid mass of a cannonball would provide action – reaction. Gases are obviously are not solid matter. So I guess the solution would be to load a spaceship up with cannonballs and fire them out the back to generate thrust.
After you run out of cannonballs , then what ? Turn on the warp drive like the Starship Enterprise .
There’s another major problem with a cooling system in the alleged vacuum of space . Any object in direct sunlight would heat up rapidly with no practical way to cool it. A conventional AC system with heat exchanger would never work in a vacuum. You would need an external medium like air or water to transfer heat into. In a car engine the liquid coolant transfers its heat to the atmosphere by circulating air around the radiator coils . How would this be done in space with no atmosphere ? The astroNOTS in the ISS would be cooked like a baked potato wrapped in tinfoil on the barbecue.

No, I’ve never piloted anything in the air my comment was poorly phrased. I’ve flown from the US west coast and Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle to China and those flights follow the path of least distance. They are always closer to Alaska, Russia, Japan and Taiwan. On a 15 hour flight from Detroit to Shanghai a man became ill while we were over Alaska and we headed right back to Detroit. All of those flights are direct and the go nowhere near Hawaii. Once again, if you look at a globe you can see for yourself. Even the shipping routes from San Francisco to Yokohama go now where near Hawaii. At the closest point to Hawaii, they are still only one quarter the distance to Alaska’s Aleutian Islands! See for yourself.
Assuming as I do that the earth is a spinning ball revolving around the sun, a spinning gyroscope in a plane will remain level while the plane follows the curve of the earth because in addition to spinning horizontally, it will also maintain a vertical position relative to its nearest point to the earth. The horizon, once established will always remain the same, relative to the the nearest point on the earth’s surface; you don’t have to nose up and down. In terms of an electrodynamic theory gravitation, the gyroscope is a collection of spinning protons in the ether, hundreds of billions per cubic centimeter with north and south poles and those poles will precess and align due to gravitational waves from the earth. A bit like the way the protons in our body begin to precess and align in intense magnetic waves in an MRI. Then the magnetic waves are shut off briefly and because the protons are pointing in a the same direction, another set of coils can measure the difference in direction (signal) before the go out of alignment. That banging sound a MRI makes is the huge electromagnet being turned on and off and expanding and cooled. Protons spin and generate in the ether.
The 8 in. per mile formula for curvature in not correct beyond short distances. The Earth Curvature Calculator website uses pi for the correct formula otherwise you get the gross errors make by Bob Skiba and he also uses a Mercator map to make his argument which is obviously not valid for a sphere. The map has to exaggerate the size of Greenland for example because they had to show point on the east and west coast that conformed to longitude and latitude. How else could it be done? It’s easy to understand why they drew the map that way if the map has to be flat. I could go on about Eric Dubay using analogies like rail tracks appearing to converge while poles don’t but he knows that if the poles were miles high, they too will appear to converge. He knows better; and this comment is getting too long.
The last point where the sun appears to get smaller at sunset in a Hugo Talks video; the sun is obviously going behind clouds and disappearing. I’ve used Mylar filters on telescopes and binoculars many times and the size of the sun remains the same. Always. I once forgot to shade the spotting telescope on top of the main telescope and the sun melted the Reticules. You have to be very careful when it comes to the sun.
White Elephant–you do not have to keep pointing the nose down; you get the altitude and power level and set the angle of the ailerons. How can you imagine any need to keep changing that angle? Where do you want it to end up?

I’ve done many observations over oceans with just naked eyes and have seen ships , structures etc. that should not be even close to possible if the globe curvature was correct.
Flights from California to Japan fly NNW over Alaska and far eastern Siberia [ Kamchatka peninsula ] and into Japan. If you look at the globe map configuration of continents , this makes absolutely no sense. If you use FE map it makes perfect sense. A flight from LA to Tokyo e.g., should be a direct shot across 35 degrees N line of latitude if the globe was real. I’ve not taken that flight but know some who have and they can see west coast of USA and BC Canada out of the starboard side of plane. They’re obviously flying north .They should be flying west and see nothing but water all around for most of the flight over the Pacific to Japan if on the globe.
