China makes semi-secret delivery of missiles to Serbia

Russian ally Serbia took the delivery of a sophisticated Chinese anti-aircraft system in a veiled operation this weekend, amid Western concerns that an arms buildup in the Balkans at the time of the war in Ukraine could threaten the fragile peace in the region.
Media and military experts said Sunday that six Chinese Air Force Y-20 transport planes landed at Belgrade’s civilian airport early Saturday, reportedly carrying HQ-22 surface-to-air missile systems for the Serbian military.
The Chinese cargo planes with military markings were pictured at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla airport. Serbia’s defense ministry did not immediately respond to AP’s request for comment.
The arms delivery over the territory of at least two NATO member states, Turkey and Bulgaria, was seen by experts as a demonstration of China’s growing global reach.
“The Y-20s’ appearance raised eyebrows because they flew en masse as opposed to a series of single-aircraft flights,” wrote The Warzone online magazine. “The Y-20′s presence in Europe in any numbers is also still a fairly new development.”
Serbian military analyst Aleksandar Radic said that “the Chinese carried out their demonstration of force.”
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic all but confirmed the delivery of the medium-range system that was agreed in 2019, saying on Saturday that he will present “the newest pride” of the Serbian military on Tuesday or Wednesday.

It began late Friday night (US east coast time) when a series of four(4) China People’s Liberation Army Y-20 Troop transport aircraft, were observed flying toward southeastern Europe. Those planes began landing in Serbia.
Shortly thereafter, the original four planes were joined by at least two additional Y-20 transport planes.

According to public sources, each plane is capable of carrying either three-hundred (300) troops or 110 paratroopers, each.

These four planes landed in the Capital.
The final two were also seen doing “zig-zag” maneuvers at 3500 feet northwest of the Capital; exactly the type of maneuvers and altitude one might expect to see from planes deploying paratroopers.
For the first time in a long time, the world is now seeing China Communist Party (CCP) force projection.
It is not known yet, why the troops have been sent, or what their purpose is.
Initial SPECULATION is that they are being sent to secure the vast Lithium deposits in Serbia, but that is just a wild guess.
Whatever is going on, the possibility of World War 3 just expanded greatly.

Intel Circuits are blaring with UNCONFIRMED and UNCORROBORATED reports Chinese military aircraft under the guise of a joint military exercise with Serbia may be transporting Russian troops into an area (Serbia) where said troops with equipment can move into Romania and into Poland on a “Thunder Run” to raise hell and create chaos from the west. Again, this is UNCONFIRMED AND UNCORROBORATED.

This is most likely an exercise. For China, this is a very long range mission, so only fair to do a test run.
Then again, given Serbia’s political position on the geopolitical set, they could be preemptively taking action based on intelligence, Russian intelligence.

The Russians, Chinese, Iranians, and other opponents of the West know full well they must prepare for WW3 whether it transpires or not. As such and under those circumstances, the Chinese troop movements to Serbia are certainly not astonishing.

As Serbia has refused to follow the US dictat, it is likely that some sort of attack by the US was in the offing. Chinese troops may have been invited in as a deterrent.
