Some readers have asked why Russia regards Finland’s membership in NATO as a provocation. For the same reason that Ukraine’s membership is a provocation: US missile bases on Russia’s border. The US does not currently have hypersonic missiles, but will sooner or later. Such missiles on Russia’s borders could reach Moscow in 3 or 4 minutes, clearly an existential threat. Along with Finland, Washington wants the bases in Sweden and the Baltic states, and already has missile bases in Poland and Romania.
Whereas Washington intends Finland’s NATO membership as a new provocation, we must not forget two other existing provocations that the Kremlin has declared to be unacceptable: the existing missile bases in Poland and Romania. It makes no sense for Russia to preemptively prevent missile bases in Ukraine and Finland while permitting existing bases to remain in Poland and Romania. Russian intervention against these two bases are likely the next self-defensive actions the Russians will take.
The West’s whore media has done its best to create worldwide indignation against Russia. People worked up into indignation do not perceive the irresponsibility of Western governments in gratuitously threatening Russia with missile bases on her borders. Instead of properly perceiving the placement of the bases as aggression against Russia, the indoctrinated people see Russia’s response to existential threats as aggression.
I have emphasized for years that these provocations of Russia will eventually cross a red line and result in nuclear war. I have long been critical of the Kremlin for not having stopped these provocations by putting down a strong foot. Russia had that opportunity in Ukraine, but the Kremlin chose a course that failed to make the necessary impression that countries that accommodate US aggression against Russia will experience devastation. It is less risky to make this demonstration in a non-NATO country than in a NATO one. Additionally, the Kremlin waited far too long before intervening in Ukraine, thereby giving the US 8 years to arm and train Ukrainian forces. By pussy-footing around in Ukraine, Russia will again be confronted with the same problem in Finland or elsewhere in addition to the two existing bases in two NATO members on Russia’s border. There is no doubt whatsoever that US/NATO have set a path that leads straight to nuclear war. As nothing that is outside the narrative can be published or discussed in the Western world, nothing can be done to stop this insane drive into nuclear war. It is not even possible to discuss this threat in Western foreign policy circles. Again the world is sleepwalking into war, but this war will be nuclear and the final war.
All that the Kremlin has achieved with its restraint and reliance on negotiation with the West is to intensify the pace and level of provocations. NATO’s Stoltenberg is courting both Finland and Sweden for NATO membership promising their membership would be fast-tracked, and likely other benefits including bagfuls of money. In the end Russia will be forced to strike pre-emptively. Half-measures would only invite a devastating response so it must be a major wave of target annihilation, exactly what it faces from US-led NATO.

It has puzzled me why Russia has not responded earlier to the “Maiden Coup” but perhaps it was not full ready to take on NATO entirely, or had not fully prepared it’s defences both civilian and military.
Russia belief that it is dealing with moral, rational, leaders in the West has now been completely demolished, they know now that Western Powers will do anything to prevail, and have NO MORAL standards.
The delay in full military action to stop the threat from Ukraine’s alliance with NATO has cost many lives of Russian servicemen. They are fighting an enemy, trained by special services in guerilla warfare, using civilians as cover, equipped with man portable missile systems to attack both air and land targets. These are easy to conceal and deadly. The West wants to repeat the war of attrition in Afghanistan that destroyed the USSR when the CIA supplied terrorists with Stinger missiles to shoot down helicopters and aircraft.
The escalation by the West, for resupply to Ukraine of these and other missile systems, as well as heavy armour, logistics, and military advisers, is going to envelope NATO and bring it directly into confrontation with Russia.
We note that Putin sad to Macron pre war that ” In a war between NATO and Russia, there will be NO WINNERS”, that is taken to mean a NUCLEAR WAR will ensue if Russia survival is threatened.
Aside from that; there will already be food and fuel shortages, and a possible financial collapse in Western Nations, because to the “blowback” from Western sanctions and financial measures against Russia.
The future is looking very bleak, and it is advisable to “Prepare for the worst”.
Increasingly, the high IQ minority in the USA will not wish to help the Evil Empire and will only do so under duress. We might already be at that stage but it is not sustainable.

Paul Craig Roberts has been part of a US administration and therefore I believe the powers that be still have a firm grip on his balls as long as he lives; thus I believe he is part of the controlled opposition.
Furthermore I’m sceptic about the mere existence of nuclear weapons because it’s such an important ingredient in fearmongering and because there is so much to read about it in books and on the Internet.

If anyone with any common sense wanted to believe what is going on in the Ukraine is not more reality theatrics for the globalist cause then the condition would have to be clear evidence that Russia and China have actually gone rogue from that cause over the Ukraine, and that could only be done with Putin and his Kremlin cadres exposing the entire Covid fraud including the fake need of any vaccines including their own Sputnik spike-protein producing ones as well, with which up to half of Russians have been jabbed. If they cannot do that, then they would at least have to expose in this hour all of the CO2 climate-change fakery, and every other UN-WEF sustainability fear-mongering pretext the globalists have trotted out over the past 40 years. But notice there is no repudiation by the Russian or Chinese authorities of any of their own involvement and agreements to do all that is necessary and dictated to them to lead them and their nations into the promised land of the New World Order with a global reserve currency enforced by their globalist-coopeted militaries.
Roberts and Pepe Escobar (Strategic Review) seem to be cut from the same cloth and likely have the same controls. They are playing some kind of role.
