Aspiring prime minister and leading ‘conservative’ Sajid Javid.

By Savant – irishsavant.net April 7, 2022

The previous post underlined the dire state of the US military, one of the few remaining institutions which might have risen to defend the heritage of White countries. In reality most institutions appear to have been lost, most notably the media. However Anglosphere readers might have expected better from the venerable Spectator. This weekly journal has been publishing for close to two hundred years and is still going strong. Being an editor or even a journalist there has often provided the path to the top of the Conservative Party, Boris Johnson being the most recent example. That it continues to be seen as right-wing and conservative underlines the extent to which the Overton Window has migrated to the left in recent times. Its positions today would not be out of place in the New Stateman of twenty or even ten years ago.

Take a recent article about Ukrainian refugees stranded at Calais, trying to reach England. “As we checked into our hotel we saw seven Ukrainian refugees resting on the couches in the lobby. There was nothing eye-catching about the group apart from their obvious weariness and the pile of Ukrainian passports on the tables in front of them. We met Mohammed and his wife who left Kiev…..” Whoa! Roll it back there. A Ukrainian named Mohammed? I read on expecting, in line with basic journalistic practice, a detailed explanation for this anomaly. But none was forthcoming. We were left to infer that there was nothing unusual about Ukrainians named Mohammed and that Britain was very cruel indeed for not allowing them cross the Channel and gain refuge from violent primitive Third-World France.

In the same issue we have “Zahawi’s Story“, a panegyric to Nadhim Zahawi, an Iraqi Muslim who has miraculously risen to the top of the ‘Conservative’ Party, first as Minister for Kuffar Jabbing and now Minister for Education. He recalled to the swooning clucking journalist “When I stand at the mirror shaving I have to pinch myself. How did a boy from Iraq who ended up on these shores at the age of 11 without a word of English end up as Secretary Of State [Minister] for Education?”. A very good question. How indeed? Not that the awe-struck journalist would ever be so rude as to ask it. He eventually became “a Conservative activist” but nowhere explains his stratospheric rise through the ranks of country toffs to the very top of the greasy pole. Or maybe he does, inadvertently. “Around the table were those young Conservatives – Sajid Javid, Pritti Patel, Tobias Ellwood, Adam Afriyie, Shailesh Vara, Robert Halfon and Kwasi Kwarteng”. Not exactly an extract from Burke’s Peerage, is it? But this brains trust was formulating ‘conservative’ policies and as we know, most of them went on to greater things. Ellwood was the only actual Englishman among them and he was born in New York.

Robert Halfon is an interesting case. A Ukrainian Jew mired in multi-faceted corruption and sexual misbehaviour throughout his career, he’s survived multiple scandals, any one of which would have ended the career of, well, an Englishman. But he does have some political and religious principles. “Halfon has said that one of the three things that motivate him in politics is “unashamed support for the State of Israel as the only real democracy and progressive force in the Middle East. I have always been very supportive of Israel. I have been to Israel many times for work and family, especially now that my father, who has become more Orthodox, lives in Jerusalam. I talk a lot about Israel in the House of Commons.” Well for once he’s telling the truth because if you check out Hansard you’d imagine he represents Israel and not his Harlow constituency.

So there you go. These are the people at the summit of the party professing to represent the traditional British people, lauded to the skies by the oldest media representative of that people.

Our institutions have been lost.
