Follow the trail back to the source of the Ukraine conflict and you arrive at the 2014 Obama-Biden CIA.
The CIA created the Nov. 2013 to Feb. 2014 demonstrations now the Maidan. Protesters there objected to Ukraine’s sudden decision to reject the European Union-Ukraine Association Agreement, instead choosing closer ties to Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union.
The CIA wasn’t having any of this. Not their first rodeo, by any means, the agency has a long history of overturning governments by marshalling and transforming public protest (e.g., Iran, Guatemala, Congo, Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Brazil, Chile, and now, in 2014, Ukraine’s time had come.)
Maidan protests were funded by globalist George Soros, which he acknowledged to CNN. As the coup de grâce, the CIA used a false flag operation to topple the government: their trained snipers were positioned atop city center buildings to appear to be government forces shooting down on the protesters, (it was ultranationalists or “neo-Nazi’s).
Purpose: create chaos and build empathy for their “freedom and democracy” movement. Killing your own to further bigger goals makes no sense to the rational mind, but geopolitics and subterfuge that leads to war is not “rational.”
In the Kiev Maidan protests, from November 21, 2013 to February 23, 2014, a total of 110-123 protesters and 18 police officers were killed. As a result, the democratically-elected, but Moscow-leaning Ukraine leader Victor Yanukovych was ousted (2014). These followed: Turchynov (briefly, 2014), Poroshenko (2014-2019, and now, Zelenskyy (2019-). Poroshenko prosecuted a contained war in the Donbass region vs. pro-Russian forces and civilians. It would take years for Russia to respond, but the situation eventually escalated to today’s country-wide hot war.

The Donbass was an insult, but NATO encroachment a death threat. NATO’s consumption of former Soviet satellites since the 1999 fall of communism has been prodigious and relentless: Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary (1999); Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania (2004); Albania and Croatia (2009); Montenegro (2017); and North Macedonia (2020). NATO planned to add Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. For Putin, it was all too much.

Putin’s achievements so far:
1. In the space of a few days, he’s vaporized 200 years of anti-Polish propaganda (of Austrian, German, Russian and Soviet Russian provenance) in the Ukraine.
2. He’s led the Ukrainians to take up arms against their so-called Russian brothers in order to defend their country. The Ukrainians are now doing what the Poles did in 1920 during the Polish-Soviet War, when relatively few Ukrainians were willing to fight the Red Army. Without the Ukrainian “brother nation” under its thumb, the Russian Empire’s days are numbered. Unfortunately for Putin, the Chinese general staff are watching all this.
3. He’s given a boost to the new European Union which is gradually coming into existence in what used to be called Eastern Europe. Britain and America now see that the best way to foil Putin’s scheme to set up a German-Russian Condominium is to make Eastern Europe “great again”. The huge influx of Ukrainian refugees to Poland goes a long way to solving Poland’s demographic problems.
4. In an age of smartphones and instant news reports, Putin’s shown the whole world that he’s (hopefully) the last in a very long series of monsters ruling from the Kremlin. Even the politically-correct BBC has now started to make the comparison between Putin and Hitler.
5. With his latest series of war crimes (the shelling of children’s hospitals as well as residential areas, the indiscriminate slaughter of non-combatants etc.) he’s dealt the final death blow to Marxist ideology. The only hope for Russia now is to return to real Christianity (which has nothing to do with the KGB version currently “in force” in Russia). This is bad news for all “leftists” and their “progressive” modern variants.

I’m no expert on geopolitics, but the strategy of alienating Russia from the west seems counterproductive. Russia can’t tolerate an aggressive, hostile force on its doorstep. At the same time, the eastern European countries have a right to conduct themselves without unwanted outside influence. I know that at least some eastern Europeans very much resent the Russians because of the occupations during Soviet times. Still, I think it’s better to have Russia in the fold than outside of it. Russia wanted to have a peaceful, productive relationship with us, but we’ve rejected their overtures at every turn with insults and scorn.
The Jews have control of American foreign policy, and they seem to hate Russia and Germany. This hatred is because of perceived wrongs in the past, going back now for centuries. Of course, they brought most of that on themselves with their constant striving to elevate themselves at the expense of their hosts. Another factor in their hatred is jealousy…the Russians and Germans are two of the most creative and intelligent peoples on earth, and this flies in the face of Jewish supremacism.
Twice now within the past 100 years or so, in WWI and WWII, they had Russia and Germany fighting one another…divide and conquer, the oldest trick in their playbook! The British, of course, happily led the effort in both cases, thinking it would advance “their” empire. If by “Moscow-leaning” you mean not hostile, then, yes, Yanukovych was “Moscow-leaning”. It was Yanukovych who sought a deal with the EU and an IMF loan. The deal the EU offered would have turned Ukraine into a bigger economic basket case, while the loan was not enough, and the repayments would have bankrupted Ukraine. That is why Yanukovych turned to Moscow for a bigger loan, at better rates, and discounted gas. The deal with Moscow wasn’t great, just significantly less shitty than the EU. When Nuland’s “our guy Yats” signed the EU deal, it turned Ukraine into an economic basket case and a money laundering centre even more corrupt than it was before. It is not a co-incidence that Donetsk and Luhansk voted to separate. Not only were they Yanukovych’s power base, they would have been the areas most devasted by the EU deal.
