Stan Grant, the bloke who asked him to leave gave a two minute interview on ABC radio earlier in the week which I managed to hear. And I thought he did quite a good job explaining the deep-rooted problems between Ukraine and Russia, so I’m quite surprised he was perplexed by what Sacha had said, which is what he also had said.
Which was pretty much all true.
Shout out to UK Column, because I heard it first there on Wednesday I think.

Listen to the moans and groans of the uber left wing audience, ignorant about reality, completely indoctrinated by the msm?

The weak-kneed host hadn’t “been thinking about it” at all. He was instructed to censure the questioner, via his audio-feed. The neuro-linguistic hoodoo evident in the moderator’s repeated incantation of, “not condoning violence” is a crude meme contrivance, that the producers of the programme, clearly ordained to have aired.
The adrenal surge manifesting in the host’s trembling right hand isn’t a righteous anger expressing. Moral outrage isn’t retrospective; indignance, rather, is reflexive. The host’s obvious discomfort is with his own compromise. His stewardship has been deemed wanting – that’s his indignation. Being told to upbraid the questioner, clearly against his better instinct and then being compelled to invoke a meme repeatedly – is the cause of his anger.
Of course, the young man didn’t advocate for violence at all. He asked the panel to give consideration to the eight-year-long, unilateral bombardment of civilians, in the Russian majority oblasts, by Ukranian forces and to weigh Putin’s actions against this wider truth, to perhaps arrive at a more balanced understanding of the situation, free of ideological biases.
The indices of a constitutionally endowed, right to free speech, exclude the advocacy of violences. In publically chastising the young man, (in a most patronizing manner) and then summarily ordering his removal from the public arena, to exclude his voice from the debate, the host and more particularly, the producers must have been readily conscious of the potential backlash among the tv audience, that live on-air censorship might evince. The producers and studio executives were thinking “ratings” and “advertising revenue.” So, therefore, the collocation “advocate-violence” was inserted into the broadcast; just as much as a legal disclaimer, as for mimetic utility. Listen and Repeat. Listen and Repeat. I wonder how often we’ll be hearing the same neuro-linguistic abracadabra in the weeks to come? Sympathy for Russia is terrorism, dude.
As an aside, one of the most curious incidental facets of this war, is how the city of “Kiev” has now become, as if by magic, the city of “Kyiv” in what seems to be some kind of Cyrillic emulation of Pinyin-style phonetic recalibration. Is there a reason for this, anyone?

@anyday…very insightful analysis of what we saw of the host in that video clip. You displayed a sharp eye and pinpoint accuracy in your interpretation of the spectacle. It makes sense out of what the commenter @Goy Buoy said about having heard that same host previously give a background on the Ukraine-Russia matter that was not dissimilar to the point the young Russian Aussie was trying to make. It’s just further proof that there are no well-compensated talking skulls in the msm or in govt anywhere who are not at the beck-and-call of their puppet masters. Fearful of losing the status, privileges, and comforts their puppet masters have bestowed upon them, they always will say and do whatever they’re told at anytime.

Excellent…the rancid mendacity and hypocrisy of the neo-liberal west laid bare… particularly that of the imbecile ‘compering’ this chimps tea party and the surgically altered female expert that fleshes out the funny farm..
when confronted by a measured and balanced question from a seemingly intelligent young man, detailing clearly the actual facts of the current situation and the abject hypocrisy of the talking heads and discombobulates…
this perma-tanned miscreant…unable to cope with his own cognitive dissonance, shaking with guilt and fear, all the while furtively casting his eye producer ward… begins babbling inane regime boiler plate, about dead women and children (the cut and thrust of the young chaps question)..
and then ‘cancels’ both question and questioner… and has him removed..
that’s demockracy… and these fools are the enemy that facilitate it…

What would allow for such linguistic variance, when the Russian and Ukrainian alphabets both use the same Cyrillic-glyphs?
You needn’t torment yourself with that one. I’ll ask as Slav, whenever next I encounter one.

The audiences in these shows are not a reflection on the population, just the TV bubble, which is careful about what it lets in, as we see in their very inaccurate coverage of demonstrations. You write to them if you want to be in the audience and they vet you for docile unconsciousness.

A distastefully ignorant comment from the protean, McDonald’s Public Relations. What would he have? Lobotomy? Dumbing down? Intellectual atrophy? Contempt for education and self-improvement? Perhaps, he’d prefer an officially sanctioned core vocabulary, where words unapproved of by the state, are prohibited from usage? Ingsoc? Farenheit 451? Eloi and Morlocks?
McDonald’s Public Relations is the kind of man who would have advised Shakespeare to give it up because nobody understand him. He who would have slapped Gerald Manley Hopkins about for speaking high-faluting shit and horse-whipped Hypatia of Alexandria for being cocky about her learning.
