The U.S. Air Force deployed four B-52 Stratofortress nuclear bombers to the United Kingdom today.
The strategic bombers, belonging to the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, arrived at Royal Air Force (RAF) base Fairford on Thursday, the service announced on the same day.
The Air Force said the bomber deployment, known as Bomber Task Force mission, is part of a regularly scheduled U.S. European Command (EUCOM) and U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) joint mission series.
Journalist Mikey Kay tweeted photos of the B-52s in flight on their way to the U.K. Kay indicated two B-52s are in Flight to RAF Fairford while another two are heading to Scotland first.
“Callsign ‘Hate 14’ – one of four B-52s caught by @JTWAviationImag transiting the Welsh/English Border heading to final destination RAF Fairford,” Kay tweeted. “From a close source, 2 of the B-52s headed to the ranges in Scotland first for training.”

“2. B-52s from 5th Bomb Wing, Minot AF Base, N. Dakota, en route RAF Fariford, England to execute long-planned Bomber Task Force mission, a regularly scheduled U.S. European Command and U.S. Strategic Command joint mission series,” Kay added.
The U.S. bombers flew with British Eurofighter Typhoons and Portuguese F-16 Falcon fighter jets, currently operating as part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO’s) Icelandic Air Policing mission. The U.S. bombers also integrated with the U.K.’s Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) as part of a bilateral close air support training effort.
“With an ever-changing global security environment, it’s critical that our efforts with our allies and partners are unified,” said U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) commanding Gen. Jeff Harrigian. “We’re in Europe training and collaborating together, because consistent integration is how we strengthen our collective airpower.”
The B-52s will be stationed at RAF Fairford as part of a rotation where they will continue to integrate and train with partner and allied forces.
The Air Force said it has been conducting bomber rotations in Europe like this one since 2018. The service said such rotations improve “cooperation and operational capacity, capability and interoperability” and “reinforce the U.S. commitment to NATO allies and coalition partners to maintain our collective safety and sovereignty.”
This particular rotation of U.S. strategic bombers comes as around 100,000 Russian troops have amassed on the Russian border with Ukraine for months, raising concerns about a potential invasion.
While Ukraine is not a NATO ally, it has requested NATO membership and the U.S. and other NATO-allied nations have begun transferring hundreds of tons of defensive weapons systems to Ukraine and have called for Russia to withdraw from the region.
This week, Russia deployed six amphibious landing ships and an attack submarine into the Black Sea, raising the risk of a Russian seaborne assault if Russia does choose to invade Ukraine.

Just think, there are Russians painting Fairford on their nukes. These bombers won’t get within 200 miles of Russia, coming down somewhere over water or Western Europe. Every move such as this one, makes a Russian 1st nuclear strike more likely. Even though Russia could convertinally overrun Europe, they won’t do this. The Russians have a huge country to protect, they have no interest in expending this burden. So once again, this makes a 1st nuke strike more likely. You can talk to a foe, but once the penny drops that you’re wasting your time, you punch their lights out.
Some background info. The Earth’s magnetic field is collapsing. Just the other day, a very MINOR solar storm took out 40 of a 49 Starlink satellite launch, this was a very low solar storm which affected the narrow altitude window where these satellites were launched. A big CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) could cause serious damage to part or all of the planet, this includes military systems. This risk is very high over the next 4 years of solar peak activity. The rapid decline in the magnetic field gives Earth significantly less protection. During 2030s, these threats will be even grester, & in the 2040s, the Sun will micronova. I’m not going into the evidence, but our nearest stars are showing signs that the 12k galactic cycle is very near.
This is a huge factor in the current (pun intended) conflagration between the West and NATO. All the players will have a warning of a big solar CME, and around 36 to 48 hours before impact. If its a big CME, this could be enough to start a full nuclear war, because their weapons and systems could be fried. Subs and some systems could be safe, but most would be gone. Communication being the big one and the loss of countless satellites.
Suspicious Observers on YouTube does daily analysis, but not this Sunday, unless there’s something significant to report. I suspect this channel and others like it will fall silent if NASA sees a big CME coming, so this will also be a sign of high risk.

What are these ancient, lumbering, polluting, gargantuan aircraft doing in Britain?
The weasel words of Gen. Jeff Harrigian is standard NATO speak. British land has been commandeered as a static aircraft carrier; to project American air power. They make Britain a legitimate TARGET if, as seems most likely, there is a NATO/Russian conflict over NATO’s incursion into Ukraine.
NATO is threatening Russia by saying it will accept Ukraine membership, and place missiles on it’s borders with Russia. Ukraine has been gathering an army; trained and supplied by US/UK to attack the Crimea and Donbas area. That is their STATED intention as agreed in Kiev.
Russia has responded to this threat by assembling a counter-force, but more importantly; trying to get a negotiated settlement with the Minsk 1 then Minsk 2 agreement, signed by Ukraine but not enacted. NATO and Ukraine have been TOTALLY unwilling to accommodate Russia’s pleas for a peaceful solution to the problems caused by the “Maiden” coup; and subsequent persecution of ethic Russians in Ukraine.
This situation is of the western powers OWN MAKING, not Russia’s, as is being propagated!
