A self-proclaimed’ old-school junkie’ who moved from Texas to San Francisco because ‘it’s f*****g easy’ to be homeless there claims he’s being paid by the city government to live on the streets, getting $620 in cash per month and hundreds of food stamps while he sells Narcan and enjoys Amazon Prime and Netflix on his phone.
‘This right now is literally by choice, literally by choice. If we’re going to be realistic, they pay you to be homeless here,’ James, a homeless man with face tattoos who has been living in San Francisco since June, told Michael Shellenberger, author of ‘San Fransicko,’ a book about how the city’s progressive leaders are worsening homelessness, inequality and crime.
James said it only took one phone call to receive government assistance, including hundreds in cash and food stamps worth approximately $100, and notes that the ‘free money’ is motivation to remain homeless.
‘F*****g phone call bro… Two hundred food stamps and $620 cash a month. Forget about it. Why wouldn’t I do it? You know, it’s f*****g free money dude,’ he explained. ‘Why would I want to pay rent? I’m not doing s**t. I’ve got a f*****g cell phone that I have Amazon Prime and Netflix on.’
The interview comes as the city’s homelessness and drug problems have worsened amid the national opioid crisis that escalated over the course of the pandemic. Both local and federal leaders say they’re working to implement new strategies to combat the drug crisis. San Francisco Mayor London Breed has declared a state of emergency in the city and has vowed to crack down on open-air drug use and drug dealing. Similarly, the Biden administration seeks to limit infections and fatalities among drug users and has created a $30 million grant program to reduce substance abuse to underserved communities.
James said the drug crisis in San Francisco has become incredibly ‘disgusting,’ with dealers providing impure substances to users who then overdose because they take drugs alone.
He also blamed the cops for failing to arrest foreign-born dealers, alleging the police are ‘getting paid with fentanyl.’
‘I’ve talked to the cops here. “I’m literally 10 feet away from the drug dealers talking to you guys, why don’t you go arrest them right now?”’ he said. ‘And they’re like, “arrest them for what?… San Francisco is a sanctuary city. We arrest the Hondurans and we put them in jail, they’re out two days later.”’
‘If they’re letting the Hondurans deal on the corner every day, somebody getting paid with fentanyl,’ James added.
A new ‘linkage center’ aimed at connecting homeless street addicts with drug rehab facilities opened in San Francisco last month, but distressing images show an open-air illicit drug consumption site that is now littered with needles and crowded with addicts shooting up in broad daylight.
The center, which opened on January 18, is part of Breed’s Tenderloin Emergency Intervention plan introduced last year, which aims to clean up the crime-ravaged downtown neighborhood. When declaring the state of emergency, Breed also pushed San Francisco officers to get aggressive and ‘less tolerant of all the bulls*** that has destroyed our city.’
James shared firsthand how the drug crisis in San Francisco is worsening amid the fentanyl-fueled opioid epidemic.
‘I can take you to a dead body right now,’ he told Shellenberger.

Removing ‘london’ would seem a good place to start. Isn’t he/she/it meant to be in charge? What’s the bets ‘london’ is getting backhanders from both the drug dealers and the gov to let it all go to s**t?
To me, this looks a lot like the kind of anti-unemployed and anti-homeless propaganda we’ve seen far too often here in our own country.
“They’re better off on the dole.”
“They don’t want to work.”
“The unemployed go on holiday to Spain.”
“They’re not really homeless. I see them getting out of taxis each morning.”

Just to set the record straight (and I’m talking about England here because it’s what I know),
I experienced both unemployment and homelessness in the 1970s, so I speak from personal experience.
Dole money is a PITTANCE. It’s just possible to survive on the dole – until your clothes wear out or some other expense comes up, and then you’re screwed.
Not only can’t the unemployed afford to go abroad. They’d lose their entitlement if they did.
I’ve met a few parasites cashing in on people’s generosity and then going home after a day’s begging, but the vast majority of beggars are genuinely destitute.
For most people, once they’re on the streets, there’s no way back. Employers don’t want them because they’re unreliable and probably dirty, and landlords won’t take anybody who doesn’t have an income.
It’s true that some homeless people turn to drink or drugs in an attempt to make a miserable existence more bearable, but can we blame them? What have they got to look forward to?
Most people are only one wage away from homelessness. I knew someone once who moved to a new area to look after his sick mother, and found himself homeless when she died. You might lose your job and be unable to pay the rent while you wait … and wait … and wait for both dole money and housing “benefit”. Families break up. Council tenants may die or need to go into a nursing home, leaving family members (who aren’t named on the tenancy agreement) unable to remain in what was previously their home.
Then, of course, some people have mental health issues.
I can’t say the “Daily Mohel” article above isn’t true because I don’t know, but I’ve seen too many similar stories demonising our own unfortunate victims of a society that doesn’t care to assume there’s any truth in it.
The following quote may not be strictly accurate, but it’s something we need to keep in mind whenever (((they))) want us to believe a story.

If truth is not in (((him))), how can we believe a single word (((he))) says? Do the devil’s own even KNOW what truth is?
If you’re homeless it makes sense to head to a sunny dive like San Fransisco rather than stay in a cold shithole like Detroit. Is that why the .01% claim they’ve brought social mobility to the whole of society?
To answer the question posed by a comment above, London Breed is a mongrel miscreant whose race or ethnicity is impossible to tell by looking at her. I say “her”, but it could also easily be a tranny from the looks of it. So with such a convoluted identity, and being a deranged “progressive” on top of it all, I’m sure he/she/it will have things sorted out in that dumpster fire that is San Francisco any day now….yup aaaaaany day now……
As coddling the lazy, the willfully deranged, the depraved, and criminal degenerates is a recipe for certain degradation and disaster, what that shit-hole really needs is a few tactical strike teams set loose to act as fumigation squads, with targets certainly including politicians, bureaucrats, and any corporate vermin who support anything “woke”.
