An eight-year-old boy has tragically died after suffering a cardiac arrest at an indoor soft play centre.
Emergency services were called after the boy was found in a critical condition at Crash Bang Wallop in Walsall Wood, West Midlands on Tuesday afternoon at around 4:30pm.
The youngster, who has not been named, was given advanced life support at the scene before being flown by air ambulance to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where he sadly died.
West Midlands Police said the boy’s death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.
Family members have since taken to social media to thank staff for attempting to save the boy.
One relative wrote: ‘Thank you to everyone at Crash Bang Wallop, for all of your kindness, help and support this evening.
‘It must of been very traumatic for you all. I cannot thank you enough for looking after my family. All our love. Nanny xx’
One customer, who said she witnessed what happened, wrote: ‘Literally haven’t stopped thinking about him or his poor mom and brother! The staff was amazing!
‘The lady that works there with the blond hair (not sure of her name) she was incredible and dealt with it amazing! Sending love to everyone involved! Mom was so strong for her boy.’
Another added: ‘He’s all I can think about….the staff were bloody amazing n all, so much respect to everyone today for how staff responded.’
West Midlands Police said the youngster’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
A force spokesperson said: ‘We were called to a play centre on Lindon Road, Walsall yesterday to reports a child had gone into cardiac arrest.
‘An eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he sadly died.
‘His death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.’
As usual he “sadly died”. I guess you’ll have to wait until I die for someone to “happily die”.

This is so sad about the child, but it is also outrageous that they are conditioning people with the crazy Sesame Street characters.
