Ian Fantom compiles a quick overview of mass demonstrations on Saturday, 22 January

Videos have been appearing of mass demonstrations throughout the country, as well as abroad, against compusory vaccinations for Covid-19. In London such demonstrations have been taking place regularly since last summer. Yet Channel 4 News claimed that Saturday’s demonstration was of a tiny minority of NHS staff, which was then joined by others.

“What started as an anti-manditory vaccination for NHS workers has now grown into something much broader: anti-vax march in general” said the reporter. Well no. The demonstrations against the Covid restrictions began with tiny demonstrations organised by Piers Corbyn and colleagues, and they grew into something enormous. On one occasion I could see there were around a million people marching past a cameraman. And they weren’t necessarily ‘anti-vax’. They were generally against vaccination using an experimental gene therapy concoction which potentially could do a great deal of harm. Yet the million-strong demonstration was generally downplayed or nor reported in the mainstream media.

ITV was more fairminded than Channel 4, with: ‘NHS workers and anti-Covid vaccine protesters demonstrate against mandatory jabs for health workers’.

The notorious Daily Mail, despite its colourful language used to describe Piers Corbyn, offers wide coverage, including videos of demonstrations in various cities of the UK, and stills of demonstrations in mainland Europe in an article headed ‘NHS staff leave scrubs at No 10 after joining anti-vaxxers on ‘freedom‘ rallies through London, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester in protest against mandatory Covid jabs – as the Royal College of GPs calls for deadline extension to prevent staff shortage‘. They showed a photo of a massive demonstration outside the BBC’s headquarters in London, but the BBC News people didn’t seem to notice.

This article included an embedded video of nurses throwing their uniforms into a police compound outside Downing Street, headed ‘Trafalgar Square filled with protesting anti-vaccine NHS staff’ – also available on YouTube. This could have more effect on the police than one might initially imagine; Piers Corbyn in a talk on 6 December told the Keep Talking group that according to one police officer there was internal discussion on the topic. By no means were they all united. That may explain why when the demonstrations became so massive the police stopped intervening. The peacefulness of those mass demonstrations was impressive. It seems that even the agents provocateurs had given up. When the police, the secret services, the state broadcasters, the civil service, the teachers and other bodies are discussing these issues amongst themselves, then we win.

There are reports from other countries, too. ‘Switzerland: COVID sceptics hit Bern in demo against restrix‘, Germany: ‘Weekly protests against mandatory vaccination increase in Germany • FRANCE 24 English‘, Australia: ‘COVID Protests Rally Against Restrictions | 10 News First‘, The Netherlands: ‘Netherlands: Thousands protest against Covid-19 curbs in Amsterdam | Latest English News | WION‘, and in Sweden: ‘Thousands protest against Covid vaccination pass in Sweden‘s capital | AFP’, and so it goes on. No doubt more will be appearing.

I have no estimate of the numbers present in London, but Trafalgar Square was jam-packed.

A video of Piers Corbyn’s talk to Keep Talking was taken down by YouTube, saying that it went against their guidelines. I’ve acquired this video, together with one taken by someone else, to check for any possibly offensive statements. So far I have found none. The main reason for doing this was that a letter of complaint was received by the venue people, accusing us of antisemitism, and quoting two aledged incidents. The first related to a break in the middle of the presentation, when not everyone would have been paying attention anyway. This claim was unverifiable. However a second claim related to a question at the end, during question time, which related to the context of Piers’s talk. I could see absolutely nothing antisemitic in that, which in my view discredited the letter as a whole. None of us recognised the name of the complainant, but I did recognise the style of the complaint as being that of the cancel culture mob. This was more-or-less the sort of thing that Piers warned about at the beginning of his talk. The mass censorship of any points made against the so-called ‘science’ claimed by the Prime Minister, is undoubtedly a driving force behind the anger that now generally manifests itself. Piers Corbyn, like myself, has a higher degree in Physics, and like all qualified scientists we know that science in secret is not science, because science has to be made available for public scrutiny and criticism. Boris’s science is not science.
