This is indeed strange. It is a personal item that does not hurt others. It is not visible worn under a shirt. It provides personal comfort. It is not limited to only the Christian religion, basically any faith to include Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or philosopher can be represented.
Why an objection? The U.S. military has gone communist, along with the U.S. presidency and his entire cabinet. No legitimate government in its own country hides behind a barbed wire fence. This is not a government of the people, for the people, by the people. It has its own agenda, which is very anti-people.
The enemy has become those who believe in freedom of religion, freedom of personal rights, freedom to own property, freedom to earn a proper living from one’s own labour. The friend has become those who burn down properties, destroy families, ruin relationships, and profit by the ruin of others, defame and debase those who oppose them.
Wearing a Bible verse is like a silver bullet, clove of garlic, bright sunlight or cross to them. It scares them.
