No you can’t. Where would you get food? And water? And power? And any of the other endless things you consider so important. Even if you’re lucky enough to have money to buy a hole to hide in they can still reach in and get you. This idea of standing apart from everyone else went south centuries ago when you lost access to drinkable water and a piece of land to grow food on, right along with the knowledge needed to do it. Most people are drones doing something that is totally useless in the real world. Your entire population is made up of telephone hygenists. How would a teacher or a shelf stacker or a doctor or a lawyer or a bin collector or anyone else (even if they had the money to buy a place to do it) be able to grow food? And even if you could, you’d only get a harvest once or twice a year. The truth is, they own you, and they own your children too. How long will it be before they turn your power off? Before they take all your money? Disconnect your water? Make it impossible to get food? “Disconnect from the matrix”? You’d be dead in a week.

I live in an acre of a land in rural lreland. There is a fresh water spring well mear me. I grow my own food and keep chickens for eggs. There is a river a mile from here which has lots of fish in it.
Plenty of trees around for firewood and l have stored plenty of candles. As l say our ancestors did and so can we .

Many are suggesting Secession from Washington DC as a remedy – but I would suggest the opposite approach. Kick DC out of the Union. Hold a States Convention and DO IT. Move the Capitol to the middle of the country (Omaha?) and turn DC into a theme park.
