No doubt this was a form of ethnic cleansing so that the German army would not rise up again, and no doubt the cowardly atrocities were to ensure the Germans could not father new sons for another army. What made the Germans so strong to take on so much no doubt was the black and white ruthlessness from the Nazi extremes. If they had a more moderate leader and the WWI reparations to pay back the banksters had not been so extreme, the communists would never have gotten of the ground in German, and there would have been no Nazi party. There certainly would not have been a WWII.
There were numerous influential people in the West, however, believing that the root of the spreading communist menace was from Russia, and people like Joseph Kennedy and Henry Ford backed Hitler before WWII on the basis he would stomp out the problem at its source. Meanwhile, the source was right in their own back yards, on the East Side of NYC, and on Wall Street, and of course wherever there was a huge concentration of financial power such as in the City of London.
