Anti-lockdown protesters scuffled with Berlin police on Sunday, as thousands of people defied a court ban on demonstrations.
Police said some protesters had “harassed and attacked” officers in the German capital’s Charlottenburg district while ignoring roadblocks.
Around 2,000 officers in riot gear attempted to quell the unrest.
Arrests made
“They tried to break through the police cordon and pull out our colleagues. This led to the use of irritants, batons and physical violence,” Berlin police tweeted.
Police added that law enforcers had to use water cannon to disperse the protesters.
Altogether some 500 people were arrested or detained briefly to obtain their personal details.

‘Querdenker’ core
The demonstration was called by the “Querdenker” (Lateral Thinkers) movement, which has emerged as the loudest voice against Germany’s COVID-19 restrictions.
Judges had prohibited several of its planned gatherings this weekend, including one for Sunday that organizers expected would attract over 20,000 people.
The court said it could not allow the rallies to go ahead over fears participants would flout rules on mask wearing and social distancing, at a time when Germany’s COVID infection numbers are on the rise.
The Querdenker movement has been particularly popular among anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists, and has also attracted members of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
The large protests need a little pizzazz along with some teamwork. The demonstrations probably won’t stop the deranged push to vaccinate everyone on the planet.
Perhaps the no Covid-19 vaccine crowd needs to challenge the government authorities to a worldwide television debate about the Covid-19 vaccines. The Government’s experts versus the no vaccine experts such as those featured at this website.

The next time anti-Covid-19 vaccine experts appear on television, radio or a podcast they need to demand a debate with the so called experts from WHO, the CDE, PHE, etc.
Perhaps Tucker Carlson at FOX can brazenly push for a debate.
Even if a debate doesn’t happen it may encourage people to read articles or watch videos on the Internet featuring anti-vaccine experts. A glimmer of hope.
Years ago, due to the controversy of the proposed North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), America had a nationwide television NAFTA debate with Ross Perrot and Al Gore.

I admire the German people for protesting peacefully against immoral laws even when the act of protesting is against the law!

If the cops continue to enforce illegal and immoral mandates and protect the psychos and pathological liars who are actively trying to destroy and kill masses of citizens, then those cops are fair game. Citizens need to figure out where they live. Don’t confront them while they’re grouped in the street, rather, wait for them in the shadows outside their homes when they’re returning tired from a shift and offer them a firm personal greeting, perhaps a second gaping “smile” from ear to ear.
