Dumb animals are not so dumb.
Takes a good horse to let humans know who the bad guys are.
There might be a danger in reading too much into the horse sense of those police horses. The horses might simply have seen the rainbow flag in the road as a hazardous obstruction in their path. It’s uncertain just what the horses perceived that pattern of coloured stripes to be. Something like a cattle grate in the road that would swallow up their legs?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d be pleased as punch if those horses instinctively sensed through their good horse sense that what that abstract symbol represents is existentially threatening or dangerous to life and well-being, which of course it is..

Spooked horses? Sound familiar? Animals have a strong sixth sense, something that we humans don’t really have. As a consequence, horses would never steer boats or airplanes into the Bermuda LGBT triangle because they know what is coming:the gates of Hell!!!!!

GOD did not like those LGBT+
evil sins so much that he burned up Sodom and Gomorrah, and that is what will happen to all unrepentant sinners of that sort.
To the horse’s brain it looks like a place they shouldn’t step, like a cattle guard.
Out west they paint cattle guards on roads – just as effective as metal ones.
The horses don’t give a damn about human sexuality, you could mate right in front of them and they would be indifferent.

Various people came to our house to collect my parents’ monthly contribution to the funeral plan. There was one man our dog would not allow entry. My mother had to give him the money through the window. Animals do have a strong intuition, but in this case they probably just saw the crossing as some obstacle.
