Thousands of anti-vaccine protesters gather in London

Thousands of anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine protesters gathered in central London for a “Worldwide rally for freedom” – five days after restrictions were lifted in England.

Conspiracy theorists David Icke, Gillian McKeith and Piers Corbyn, the brother of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, were among the speakers at the demonstration in Trafalgar Square.

The event also attracted far-right commentator Katie Hopkins, who was deported from Australia earlier this week after boasting about her intention to break quarantine rules.

During his speech from the main stage, Mr Corbyn attempted to lead the crowd in a chant telling the government to “Ping Off” – a reference to the NHS app’s notifications to users to self-isolate.

A former nurse also urged her supporters to take down the names of medical staff.

Kate Shemirani, who was struck off by the Nursing and Midwifery Council last month for spreading Covid misinformation, said: “Get their names. Email them to me. With a group of lawyers, we are collecting all that. At the Nuremburg Trials the doctors and nurses stood trial and they hung. If you are a doctor or a nurse, now is the time to get off that bus… and stand with us the people.”

London major Sadiq Khan described her comments as “utterly appalling”. He tweeted: “I have raised it directly with the Met Police. Our NHS staff are the heroes of this pandemic and Londoners from across this city roundly reject this hate.”

At the end of the rally, protesters marched from Trafalgar Square along Whitehall to Parliament Square.

    Okay….the government totally ignored the million plus marchers against the Iraq war…..what makes these protestors think this will be any different??….

    @ Steven Speil-berg this quote from Emile Zola might inspire you.”When truth is buried underground,it grows,it chokes,it gathers up such explosive force that on the day it blows forth, it smashes everything that stands in its way” We may,I hope,be globally at this moment in time,in such a situation as Zola describes.

    It’s obvious that the government will take no notice, we know they represent the establishment. It’s to show other people that there is another way. They’re walking the talk. Khan’s reaction was inevitable. I just wish that Shemirani would use her intelligence to curb her emotions and speak tactically, knowing how her words WILL be twisted. Now most of Britain thinks that, not only do antivaxers want to infect their grannies, but also want to hang the heroic nurses.

    when i started work in the 60s a polish man worked near me
    He drove a red Vauxhall Bolloxer and would often drop me home ater work
    he said that in the war he belonged to the polish underground who with German help fought the soviet commies
    He always said Britain should have fought with germany
    he said one day the commie jews will make viruses to kill millions
    i was recently reminded of what he said with this covid thing

    I’d like to know why an arab mayor of london thinks he can speak for the english londoners.

    This doesn’t really scare the Overlords much. They would take notice if a few individuals with boom boxes were walking around blasting German marches like the Badenweiler or Koniggratzer March from some boom boxes. This would make the scum get concerned now…

    In her somewhat hamfisted way, Shemirani has breached an essential barrier.
    As I’ve been saying for months, the only way we have a chance of turning this around is to make the collaborators pay the price of their treachery.
    Because without them the criminals in charge have little power.

    Nurses and doctors who support the vax yes, but also, crucially the police, civil servants and media.
    Everywhere they go they must be shunned.
    If people shunned every cop that walked into their cafes, bars and restaurants.
    Spat on every MSM reporter in the street.
    Egged the homes of council apparatchiks and politicians.
    It would soon shatter their comfortable illusion that the people are with them.

    Perhaps a published list on a secure server in Iceland, that anyone can access and add to.
    Name and shame the collaborators.

    We are in a war and wars are not won by placards and platitudes.
