We all know we are going to die, but what we are doing is postponing if for as long as possible. Many people have children, pets and other dependants and feel responsible for them and are reluctant to leave them behind prematurely.

Other people have life missions to fulfil, before they blithely cast off their mortal coil. Life on earth comes with responsibilities and obligations to others not just ourselves.

This is more to the point Max, we don’t all start at the same point and all end at the same point. Some fall by the wayside, some get nowhere and others get to within a nose length and can go no further.
We are all one to start with and if only one gets to the end, we all have. Even so at this stage many will die. stay wise be mindfull.

“Lead me on, O Zeus, and thou Destiny,
To that goal long ago to me assigned.
I’ll follow readily but if my will prove weak;
Wretched as I am, I must follow still.
Fate guides the willing, but drags the unwilling.”
-The Hymn to Zeus by Cleanthes

You are quite possibly correct, Max. Sometimes – actually pretty often – our view isn’t vast enough. There is SO much more going on here and “out there.” Take good care and be well.

Great food for thought. Thank you. You seem to be forgetting, though, that this world is not the end for us. After this, each one of us will go to one of two places. Oh, I know that God has become out of date in this evil world and no one believes that Bible stuff any more – it is too restrictive for modern man and his reason and philosophy. So look around and see what modern man has made of this world with his modern mind and thinking. I tell you, even if you, or you and 300 billion others, believe God does not exist, that does not make it true. It is the prerogative of God and God only to say when the end is for anyone or anything. So, whatever happens to you, me, or the whole world is ordained by Him. After all, we have totally, as a people, turned out backs to him and have trampled his vineyards and courts. But this is not the first time. There is an old, old book called the Bible. Read it. It is still available in any thrift store. The history of the world is run through with sinful people being blessed by God, then turning their backs on Him over and over and over again, and God then, in His holy wrath, allows destruction to come to the people. This may not be the first time for God’s patience to run out, but it may be the last, because this is the only time in the history of the world when the world has been totally stripped of anything spiritual or supernatural. And if the powers that be in this evil world think that they are in charge and are going to say who lives and who dies, they are dreadfully mistaken because they are only tools in the hands of the sovereign, almighty, holy and righteous God. It’s absurd, isn’t it, that a few people with billions of dollars want to do away with what they see as the dregs of society, knowing they will die also? And when and if they, yes even they, die without having received saving grace by faith in the Redeemer who shed His precious blood, and stood in all our places and took all of the punishment for our sin, then they will die and will leave this earth, and will be destined for one of those places in eternity – eternal damnation. You ask, “Are you gonna leave?” Without a doubt, we will all be leaving here, sooner or later, in the forms of our souls, which never will die. Stand by the warning of the Baptist of old – Repent and Believe. You will then be destined for the other option, the Kingdom of Heaven.
