To most people, the Son of Sam is a crazed serial killer who terrorized New York in the late 70s. However, a closer look at this case reveals clear links to the occult elite and provides rare insight into its dark motivations. The goal of it all: Human sacrifices and occult rituals on a mass scale.
In 1997, David Berkowitz – the infamous serial killer dubbed The Son of Sam – agreed to be interviewed by the investigative journalist Maury Terry. At this point, Berkowitz had been incarcerated for over 20 years and converted to Christianity. He even gave himself a new name: “The Son of Hope”.
Although he never denied the fact that he killed innocent people and that he deserved his multiple life sentences, Berkowitz had always maintained one vital fact: He did not act alone. Not only that, the Son of Sam murders were not random acts of violence carried out by a lone nut: They were – as crazy as it sounds – ritual sacrifices carried out by a highly organized Satanic cult.

At the time of this interview, Maury Terry had been investigating the Son of Sam case for over two decades. Ten years prior, he released The Ultimate Evil: An Investigation of America’s Most Dangerous Satanic Cult, a book that presented evidence that these killings were linked to a massive occult network.
In this interview, Terry was looking to confirm important facts he uncovered in his years of research. For instance, there was evidence that the 1977 killing of 20-year-old Stacy Moskowitz was mostly likely filmed by someone who was hiding in a van. If this was true, the entire “lone nut” theory would be disproved. Furthermore, it would signify that these murders were actually team efforts that even implicated the production of snuff material to be sold in underground circles.
When Terry asks about this mysterious van, Berkowitz answers:
– There was some filming going on. Somebody wanted to film it for somebody else, or, huh, whatever …
– Are you stating to me, then, that they made a snuff film, from that van, of the shooting of Stacy Moskowitz and Robert Violante?
– Maybe that’s what you can call it.
– Was this the cult group itself that was responsible for the Son of Sam murders? Or was there something else that went on?
– Uh, there was another group, a more elite group, hidden into it and woven into it, you know?
In his last answer, Berkowitz stated that the coven he belonged to (named The Children) was infiltrated by an “elite group” that pushed them further into the “dark side”. In his research, Terry believed that this “elite group” might have been The Process – a powerful satanic group that became extremely influential in the early 1970s before going underground.
Terry then asks Berkowitz:
– What other kinds of crimes did they commit?
– Well, heavy drug trafficking and, uh, other things involving children.
– Involving children? What do you mean? What kind of business were they in? You’re telling me the Process was producing child p*rnography? Is that what you’re saying? And providing children?
Berkowitz nodded. Right after, the producer stopped the interview.
This is where a thorough investigation of The Son of Sam case leads: To the rotten core of the occult elite which is obsessed with the worse abominations known to man.

In recent months, Terry’s work gained newfound attention with the Netflix series Sons of Sam: Descent into Darkness – a documentary series that heavily focuses on Maury Terry’s investigation. However, despite presenting the mountain of evidence accumulated by Terry throughout his life, the documentary ended up discrediting him, even using the words “delusional” and “two-fisted drunk” to describe him.
Reviews of the Netflix series in mainstream media even linked Terry’s investigation to modern “conspiracy theories”, strongly suggesting that one should not fall into this rabbit hole.
Why is Terry’s research currently receiving such poor treatment in mass media? Is it because the Son of Sam case provides a rare insight into the sick world of the occult elite, one that media has been hard at work concealing every since?
Here’s a look at this disturbing yet extremely revealing case.

I was in my late teens at the time and I followed the events as they were reported because this was the first active serial-killer I was aware of (the next one being the Yorkshire Ripper). At his trial Berkowitz said he was following the orders of a 6,000 year-old spirit who could manifest as a dog who he called Sam, and that’s from where Berkowitz was given the name the Son of Sam by the media.
This is the first I’ve heard of elite involvement for sacrificial victims but I can believe it, and if it’s true then there could be others murders they’re involved in – not just serial killings but individual ones with no apparent links. These murders might relate not just to calendar dates like Halloween but also to astronomical events which can be centuries before they happen again (so we’re lucky to see them), and astrological events whose charts continuously change from hour to hour. Satanist elites love all that stuff.
Some say the bible’s stories were astrological events which influenced ancient storytellers who watched the sky for inspiration – especially objects in opposition, eg. the full moon rising in Leo (Samson) while the sun is in Aquarius (Delilah was a water carrier). We can’t see the stars behind the sun because it’s so bright but if it flickered out briefly we’d see the stars behind it and that’s the constellation it is in.

There have been many attempts to discredit Maury Terry’s investigation; in particular, the connection the author alleges between the Son of Sam murders and the Process Church of the Final Judgement.
One particular exculpatory cry, often repeated, is that the Process has always championed animal rights.
Indeed a recent incarnation of the Process, would you believe, is the “Best Friends Animal Society” which apparently regularly appears on a popular American T.V. dog-rescue programme.
The true powerhouse behind the Process Church was Mary Ann de Grimston (née Mary Anne MacLean) and not her husband Robert de Grimston, (surname at birth, Moor.) The former apparently kept many German Shepherd dogs at the San Francisco Process H.Q. According to ten-year long cult member, Timothy Wyllie, each new initiate was given a German Shepherd by Mary Ann to keep as their own.
One of the many disturbing revelations in The Ultimate Evil is that in a single year (Oct ’76 – Oct ’77) eighty-five skinned German Shepherds and Doberman Pinschers were discovered buried in Walden, Orange County – about an hour’s drive from Yonkers, where Berkowitz and his certain accomplices John and Michael Carr lived, the father of whom was Sam Carr and the owner of the “possessed” black labrador, Harvey, which Berkowitz claimed had ordered him to kill.
Apologists for the Process insist that the “church” opposed all cruelty to animals, opposed the riual sacrifice of animals and that to associate the mutilation of so many of Mary Ann’s beloved German Shepherds (later also disinterred in several other states) unequivocally exonerates the Process with involvement in the Son of Sam slayings.
This is a weak defense because it could just as easily be taken as inferring that the Process kept the dogs ultimately for the purpose of black magic sacrifice. Where would you aquire so many Shepherd dogs for the abundant task? (Other skinned German Shepherds were later disinterred in locations throughout the U.S.)
One of Mary Ann de Grimston’s chosen titles was “Hecate” the triple aspecting godess/ chief witch traditionally honoured by animal sacrifices where three roads converge. Could this be related to the three townships of Walden? I need the help of our American friends on that one.
Mary Ann was a very secretive woman and there’s only one confirmed photo of her.
Berkowitz said that one of the Sam murderers was a woman. One survivor of attempted murder by the Sam killer, Carlos Denaro has always claimed that it was a woman who tried to kill him – an “occult priestess.”
In the first Berkowitz letter, Police believed the author might be Scottish because of one curious sentence, referring to Sam’s identity, which seemingly slips into Scot’s patter, although Berkowitz was certainly its author,
“too many heart attacks. ‘Ugh my hoot it urts Sonny Boy.’ ”
It doesn’t seem too Scottish to me but Berkowitz was a poor speller. Was he attempting to imitate a Scottish accent? This was the same letter in which Berkowitz effectively named the two Carr brothers as accomplices. Might he have been referring also to a third individual involved? (Berkowitz much later admitted that the overall plans for the killing spree were agreed upon at a clandestine meeting of the Children, in 1976, at which, he says, there were “at least eight” members of the N.Y. chapter of the Process in attendence.)
Mary Ann was a native of Glasgow. From the one known extant photo of her, there is indeed one police suspect who’s photofit plausibly resembles Mrs. de Grimston – the witnessed “slayer of Donna Lauria.”
I think Terry was correct in naming the Process as the entity behind the Children, the Satanists responsible for the murders in New York. There have been claims that Mary Ann was a British Intelligence asset, which, if true, would explain how this true fiend, managed to render notions of her “church’s” involvement in the Sam killings as meritless conspiracy theory and perhaps explains the police’s tepid interest in the killings. Timothy Wyllie, mentioned above, again absolutely insists that there was no intelligence service involvement in the Process, which is a bit rich, considering it is in the public domain that his own mother worked for M.I.6!
I read Terry’s book about 10 or 12 years ago now but to this day, I recommend it as the finest book of investigative journalism that I’ve ever read. My edition is the 1993 Parragon paperback, which frustratingly, has no index. The Ultimate Evil is a long book. It absolutely requires an index.
Maury Terry, an extraordinarily courageous man, befriended the aformentioned Son of Sam survivor, Carlos Genaro and told him in private in 2010 that he was working on a new update to his book, saying,
“I’m going to name names and if they sue me, by the time they get around to it, I’ll be dead.”
Terry was ill, however, and his poor health impeded his further update, which remained incomplete and unpublished at the time of his death in 2015 of heart failure.
I’ve only just learned that Genaro has written his own book about the killings, called, “The Son Of Sam And Me: The Truth About Why I Wasn’t Shot By David Berkowitz” published this year. Genaro and Terry were confidantes. Perhaps not all of Terry’s update went to the grave with him.
Jesus was called the son of God, Adam the son of Man (or Jesus was?), Manson, either Charles or Marilyn, was the son of man, and the son of Sam is Samson, who pulls the fish-god temple down. That fish-man was Oannes.- probably the origin of John, as in Baptist, as in get-in-the-water-fish-boy. I have known this for one minute.

There are twenty-three references to the Son of God in the Gospels. There are seven occasions when Jesus himself speaks the phrase. Three of these are the accounts of his trial, rendered by Matthew, Luke and John. In Matthew 21; 63-64, it reads, “They all asked him. ‘Are you the Son of God?’ He replied, ‘you say I am.’ ”
This implaccably intelligent response gives me goosebumps.
Otherwise, there is no further reference to the Son of God in the synoptic Gospels. The remaining four uses of the term come from the Gospel of John; once where John speaks an opinion; once where it is used as a generic term; and twice from direct quotation of Jesus himself. Both occur when Jesus is in dispute with the high priests and he is effectively arguing in Hellenic fashion about the ethics of using such a denominative.
I think that it can be credibly argued that Jesus never once called himself the Son of God. Mind you, he doesn’t ever once refer to himself as Jesus either.
Compare this to frequency of use of the phrase, the Son of Man in the Gospels – where it features eighty-three times. Son of Man is the only name that Jesus used for himself.
Interestingly, apart from Ezekiel’s use of the phrase, the titular, Son of Man is well-known to have been used by priests of the Temple of Isis in Philae, which was very much Hellenized by the time of Jesus’ birth and continued to offer prayers and wisdom education to initiates until the time of the great catastrophe of 536 A.D. Bear in mind that the Arabic rendering of Jesus’ name is Isa and to the Ancient Celts he was Iesa.
The original Son of Man was Horus, born to the virgin, Isis. The title therefore confers a status of Pastoral King or Priestly King – exactly how Jesus measured himself.
Another thing, “Sam” doesn’t reference “Samson.” Fellow truthseeker R2b has it correctly. It’s a diminuitive of Samael, the Great Archon, Chief of the Chiefs of the Ten, the Sumerian progenitor Devil.
Both satanism (and it’s offshoot Freemasonry), and paganism have close links to the intelligence services. The government of every Western country is riddled with these lunatics.
To andyay– I met somebody once who was a bit obsessed with the Son of Sam and wanted me to see the name as Samson. The Satanists in pop culture who are called Manson were probably mocking the Jesus epithet, and my new insight about Oannes and baptism impressed me somewhat. It is “the Golden Bough” kind of talk. Oannes the amphibian brought civilisation to the Sumerians and had to spend his nights in a pool, so I bet baptism commemorates him, while Samson spitefully destroys his temple.
You might be on to something, Lewis. Oannes can be spelled Ionnes, which may be the root of the forename, John. The locust-eating aesthete practised full-immersion baptism and Oannes would fully immerse himself in the sea each evening to return home.
Berossus, the Babylonian historian, wrote of there being many men-fish, not just one. Collectively, he claims, they were known as the “Anedotti” which means the “repulsive ones,” which is rather disrespectful, considering their selfless endeavours to assist men.
The Essenes were the “pure ones,” of course but perhaps a more fitting epithet would have been the “fish-fingered ones.”
In his wonderfully eccentric, The Sirius Mystery, orientalist, Robert Temple gives detailed attention to the Anedotti. Apart from Oannes, there was Cecrops, the ancient amphibian who founded the city of Athens and was the first king of the Athenians who only later adopted Athena as their goddess-protector. Originally, the local Hellenes were called Cecropians. The second king of the Cecropians was Erichthonios, son of Cecrops and another man-fish.
The Greeks also name Nereus, another amphibious humanoid, sometimes referred to as the “Old Man of the Sea.” Nereus is believed to have been the Greek God of the Sea prior to Poseidon’s ascendency.
Then there’s Nommo, the fish-man educator of the Dogon, while curiously the Philistine rendering of Oannes was Dagon.
The Chinese also say that their civilization was founded by a man-fish called Fuxi (Fu-Hsi.)
Were the Sumerians, the Athenians and ancient Chinese referring to the astrological age of Capricorn? I’m not sure.
My hometown saint, Eanswythe founded the first nunnery in Britain, during a time when Christianity had yet to persuade the majority of Anglo-Saxons into conversion. I have speculated over the years about Eanswythe’s calling, whether she was sincerely christian or not. Her name means the “enclosure of Oannes.”
