I agree 100% with the first two minutes. The world is NOT overpopulated, but Musk omits to mention the cause.
Masked by inflation, wages have been progressively reduced since at least the early 1960s, when it was possible to raise a family on a single wage. Now it’s a struggle to survive with both adults working.
True we have gadgets, and their associated costs, that we didn’t have before, but that merely adds to the burden. In terms of spending power, most couples are worse off now, plus they have these additional costs eating into what little they have to live on.
THAT is the real reason for the declining population. Most people simply can’t afford to have children, and it’s by design.
As for “AI”, do we really need to automate everything, putting our own species out of work? It’s good to automate the worst jobs that nobody really wants to do, and most jobs are robotic in nature anyway. We were never designed to repeat the same mindless actions for hours at a time, five or six days a week. We’re not machines, and we don’t enjoy being slaves, though that’s exactly what we are, slaving away at jobs we hate for long hours in exchange for a pittance.

It is very naive to cite the area taken up by each human when we need quite a lot of land for food-growing, factories, leisure, wildlife etc. People calculated that all people could fit on the Isle of Wight when the festival was on in 1968, but so what? GB can only grow food for 30 million people even with intensive farming. Other places have three crops a year and Europe needs them.
