Tens of thousands of anti-lockdown protesters marched through central London today demanding the ‘arrest’ of Matt Hancock after he was caught breaching Covid rules by kissing his married aide while preaching the restrictions to the rest of the UK.
Anti-lockdown protesters were seen marching along through central London before descending on Downing Street on Saturday as they called for ‘freedom’ and the end to all Covid lockdown regulations after Freedom Day was delayed from June 21.
As well as demanding the end to lockdown, protesters brandished placards that demanded police ‘arrest Matt Hancock‘ after he was caught breaching Covid safety regulations by kissing his married aide – despite asking the rest of the country to follow the strict restrictions.
The health secretary, 42, has been accused of hypocrisy over images and a subsequent video clip showing him kissing Gina Coladangelo at the Department for Health, despite championing draconian restrictions on ordinary citizens.
The crowds lobbed hundreds of tennis balls with ‘not very nice’ messages written on them towards the Houses of Parliament before gathering on Downing Street, where they started chanting ‘shame on you’ and pointing towards Number 10, followed by prolonged booing.
Tens of thousands of protesters had earlier marched through Oxford Street, Regent Street, Hyde Park and Northumberland Avenue as they held placards reading ‘the Boris variant’, ‘no to Covid vaccine’ and ‘no to Covid passport’.

Demonstrators then packed the streets outside Downing Street, where flares were set off and tennis balls were thrown towards Number 10, while loud chanting, whistling and music continued.
Members of the demonstration began dispersing at around 4pm, although many dedicated marchers still remain outside Downing Street and in Parliament Square.
Reclaim party leader Laurence Fox was among the tens of thousands of anti-lockdown protestors who attended Saturday’s protest and was seen shouting into a speaker as he stood on a barrier outside Downing Street.

The groundswell of public opinion is looking unstoppable. It is hard to see how this Government of Occupation can survive for too much longer. The Hancock debacle is possibly the last straw. Far from consolidating their hold on power by introducing new draconian bills designed to curtail free speech and freedom to protest, the Government is revealing just how totalitarian they really are. Given the impending financial crisis which the UK Government is in no position to counter, given the level of debt, the UK is facing a serious downturn in the economy. This may well provide an opportunity to reform the current corrupt political system once and for all. We should grasp this opportunity when it arises.
The prior massive London boring lockdown protest rally showcased polite Londoners walking quietly in the streets, this major rally featured people singing the Pink Floyd song Another Brisk in the Wall, throwing tennis balls (with naughty messages), holding signs, and demanding the arrest of Matt Hancock.
If they have a third massive lockdown protest I won’t be surprised if MI5 or another UK agency infiltrates the protesters with secret government agent provocateurs who urge some of the protesters (selected based on their age and appearance and perhaps their criminal records) to do violence and mayhem and they may actually get involved themselves.
Over the years American protesters have accused the government of utilizing secretive government agents disguised as protesters (involved with bombings and other violent acts) to damage the image of protestors with the public, providing politicians the great opportunity to boldly announce they won’t cave to the demands of the unruly, violent protesters. “We will do everything we can to protect the public from the violent mob.”
Francesco Cossiga (former prime minister and president of Italy), encouraged the Minister of the Interior at the time, to do what he did while serving as Ministry of the Interior; infiltrate protest groups with secret agents ready to do anything; then the security forces should massacre the demonstrators without pity and send them to the hospital.
Perhaps this won’t happen in London, but if the next massive lockdown protest rally features violence, be a little suspicious of what really happened.
