A protest in London has drawn a large number of participants, united by their mistrust of how the British government is handling the Covid-19 situation. Such events are part of a larger movement that’s gripping Western countries.
In the latest weekly demonstration, tens of thousands marched through the streets of the British capital under the banner “Unite for Freedom”. The rally brought together groups of people who are variously unhappy with the prolonged lockdowns imposed by the government, mistrustful of Covid-19 vaccines and harbour anti-government sentiments.

Politician David Kurten, formerly of the UK Independence Party, estimated that the gathering was larger than the one held last weekend. “We are all out, normal people, not wearing any masks, not taking any vaccines, demanding that the government give us back the civil liberties that they never had the right to take away,” he said, summarizing the protesters’ cause.

Anti-lockdown protests similar to the one in London have been happening on a regular basis in many Western countries and are sometimes met with police action.
In the UK, the mistrust in government policies has been fuelled by an often-shifting narrative, which started with a call to endure a short period of restrictions to “flatten the curve” of Covid-19 infections and protect the National Health Service from being overwhelmed, but instead went on for months.

Boris Johnson’s government has warned that outbreaks of the ‘Indian variant’ of Covid-19 could slow down the promised easing of restrictions in the country. Pubs and restaurants in England have recently been allowed to serve customers indoors in groups of up to six – or two households – once again, and other public venues have had their restrictions partially lifted. Outdoor public gatherings are normally restricted to 30 people, and social distancing between groups is advised.

The SUBSTANTIAL UNDERREPORTING of the numbers on the March by the Daily Mail is a bit of a mystery…
Since commonsense suggests readers could easily access the internet to see tens of thousands of marchers.
Why did the pricks at the Daily Mail refer to “hundreds of protestors”?????
Is it a deliberate windup…..surely? They cant think people are that stupid….
Anyway….there is every likelihood that the govt will simply ignore them….that is PRECISELY what they did with the million people March against the Iraq war.
Just simply ignored…..
Will the English elite back off a bit….this characteristic has enabled the elite/monarchy to survive while across Europe they got knocked off their perches.
The crypto jew Johnstein doing nothing to stop the third world illegal invasion shows a confidence in his position.
Just a period of food insecurity could see them swept from power.
The most ignored rally in England was the Countryside March, and it was also the most well-behaved. I think they even picked up all the litter, but within themselves the COV marches have good effects because they are already a disobedience of two of the stupid rules, and with safety in numbers (which, however, is usually contemptible).
Heja London!
Truth and freedom.
Sanning och frihet.

Suppose, just suppose, we had a pandemic. Over the last year we’ve had numerous protests. Not just Covid but also BLM and a couple of others I can’t remember. I would think that in excess of 500,000 people have attended these events. If there was a deadly virus and 1% of the attendees were infected. Assume that this 1% infects another 1%. There are now 10,000 infected people wandering around various parts of the U.K. If each one infected one other every week starting from now, next week there will be 20,000 infected. The week after there will be 40,000, third week 80,000, fourth week 160,000, fifth week 320,000, 6th week in excess of 500,000.
That’s assuming that it starts today. Its already been running for over a year. Where are the vast numbers of infected and dying that one would expect?
These figures only assume that one person can infect one other person per week.
The word “weekly” in the headline gives me hope. Then, friends, DAILY!
For me, the word “freedom” — instead of “liberty” — uplifts even more!
Time to do or die. Italy with a “mandatory [faux] ‘vaccination'” threat. UK and Canada with unconscionable “lockdowns” layered upon a foundation of insane, unhealthy measures, the latter based on the Big Lie of SARS-CoV-2, COVID the disease (reminds of Conan the Barbarian, doesn’t it?), and, now, “breakthrough cases”, “variants”, and darker times ahead.
Get off thy duff now or you’ll be sitting for a long, long time.
Until people pick up the sword, all this hot air will make no difference whatsoever. The government will black it out in the media and ride out the storm.

@Anonymous: “Until people pick up the sword, all this hot air will make no difference whatsoever.” Absolutely. Psychopaths only respect strength.
