There is a “high degree of confidence” that vaccines protect against the Indian variant of COVID-19 – but it can “spread like wildfire” among those who haven’t had a jab, Matt Hancock has told Sky News.
The health secretary urged those who are eligible for vaccination – but have not yet booked an appointment – to come forward to get their vaccine as he warned against the possible impact of the Indian COVID variant.
Mr Hancock said it can “spread even faster” than the Kent variant, which drove the UK’s deadly second wave of infections this winter, with a total of just over 1,300 cases found in the country so far.
He said it was “becoming the dominant strain in some parts of the country” such as Bolton and Blackburn.
In Bolton, where a number of people have ended up in hospitals with the Indian variant, the “vast majority” of those patients had been eligible for a COVID jab but had not yet had one, Mr Hancock said.
He likened the current situation facing the country to “a race between the vaccination programme and the virus”, with the Indian variant having “given the virus some extra legs in that race”.
There have been concerns that the spread of the Indian variant in the UK could derail the government’s roadmap for easing lockdown restrictions.
But Mr Hancock said tomorrow’s planned easing to stage three of the roadmap – allowing indoor mixing between households – would still go ahead.
And a decision would be announced on 14 June as to whether the country would proceed to stage four a week later, when ministers aim to remove all legal limits on social contact.

If they’ve had to move the location of this fraud away from the US, UK and Europe to India, that proves how weak the fraud is. We can see it isn’t happening here, so they’ve had to move it to where we can’t see it’s not happening. But no matter; word coming out of India says Covid isn’t happening there either, but as we expected problems with the vaccine is.

I have been saying to anyone who would listen that some phony way would be found to prevent us coming out of lockdown on June 24. It should be more than obvious that this “Indian variant” has been cooked up for that purpose. For about a month now the media has been full of stories about the “disaster” in India where covid is killing thousands a day. Then it turns up in England, and we find out that even though we haven’t been allowed to go on holiday to countries like Spain and France, People have been flying back and forth between Britain and India. So, we have the perfect excuse now. Question : If the British Government had really been concerned about the danger of covid coming here from India would they have let people fly there and back again? Of course not, it’s just so they have a way to keep us all locked down till we are scared or stupid enough to take their deadly poison in our arms.
A nursery rhyme warned us–something about a fly being lured into the parlour e.g. a doctor’s office, and being injected with a debilitating poison by hollow fangs, as happened in the desert to the vaccinator’s ancestors.

On a serious note they are injecting people with radium and it kills nerves as well as being magnetic and can cause sterility.Its about radiation blood poisoning, get an emf meter or geiger counter close to point of vaccine injection and look at the reading.Its not about altering dna its about the destruction of human dna.
