Covid vaccine passports ‘to arrive next month’ opening door for summer holidays

Last week, the Equality and Human Rights Commission said any mandatory coronavirus status certificates are “likely to be unlawful” – but the government has said they’re needed for international travel.
Brits desperately hoping for a summer holiday abroad look set to be able to use coronavirus “vaccine passports” soon as next month, it has been reported.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is said to want the Covid certificates ready to go by May 17 – but only for foreign travel.
A domestic Covid certificates scheme – which could give proof Brits have had either a vaccine, a previous Covid infection or a recent negative test to enter events in the UK – are unlikely to be ready next month, according to the Telegraph.
The newspaper reports the controversial plans were discussed in a phone call on Wednesday between government officials and top travel industry figures.
An official told the publication: “We aim to give people the ability to prove their vaccine status by the time international travel restarts where other countries require it.
“The earliest that will restart is May 17.”
The passports would allow entry into the as yet unconfirmed countries demanding proof of vaccination.
A Department for Travel spokesperson said: “We are working on a solution to enable residents to prove their Covid-19 status, including vaccination status, to other countries on the outbound leg.
“We are working on this as a priority and intend to have the solution ready as soon as possible.”
It comes after holidays appeared a step closer for Brits because of the UK’s incredible vaccine success.
The green light could be given for a return in early June, it has been claimed.
The Sun report nations with strong vaccine figures are likely to be exempt from a blanket entry ban.
The government have already confirmed a three-colour traffic light system is going to be used to get the travel industry back on its feet.
But introducing vaccine passports risks creating a ‘two-tier society’ which could lead to millions feeling discriminating against.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission also believe mandatory Covid-19 status certificates – which would provide proof of whether you’ve had two doses of the jab – are “likely to be unlawful”.
It could create a situation where people from groups where vaccine take up is lower are barred from social events, venues and even travel.
A review found they could “potentially play a role” in settings such as theatres, nightclubs and mass events in the months ahead.
They are also being considered for use in pubs and restaurants to reduce social distancing restrictions.
But the commission says they could create a “two-tier society whereby only certain groups are able to fully enjoy their rights”.

They are desperately trying to push this through as fast as possible.
It is up to the people to reject the scheme.
Yesterday Boris said he expected an Autumn Covid wave. Clearly he knows something that we can only sermise on. Either the Western vaccines don’t work, or MI6 will be upgrading its bioweapon release.
It is doubtful that Russia or another nation will have intel on subsequent bioweapon releases. Whatever they release, it must be very similar to the original Covid bioweapon, or it could raise suspicions.
The other possibility is that like AIDS, which constantly changes on virtually every new infection, this could be the defacto Covid reality once it settles down.
Unless you are very lucky, you can’t be rid of AIDS, they can’t cure it… for whatever reason, but you can live a fairly normal life if you take your medication. Same with cancer. Most new cancer treatments aren’t about curing the patient, they are about CONSTANT & usually very expensive medication. This looks to be our covid future… as Boris said, go home and take your pills. These pills could be ready by the Autumn just in time for Boris’s lockdown.
I’ve not closely followed the India situation. I am assuming it is real. Dispute India being a generally hot and sunny country, they have very low levels of vitamin D. The population is generally Sun averse, they cover their skin and like most of the world, they can’t get enough D from their diet. So the Covid bioweapon/vatient will have easy pickings in India.
From the people I talk to, many are not going to have the vaccine. My guess is that the regime hopes that some will get their covid passports, legal or not, but the fact remains that one half of a couple or one member of a family who doesn’t want or can’t have the vaccine, these groups/families won’t be travelling abroad.
I follow a YouTuber who is leaving Spain, but he won’t be going back to Finland for the Summer, because he won’t have the vax and he doesn’t want to get trapped in Finland. He’s out of the system, so can float around and not be bothered. Like wise, plenty of Brits all over Europe and the world hunkering down with no intention to return to the UK trap.
The mass culling now makes a beeline to demolish what remains of the few remaining brain cells of those in positions of political power who had initial reservations on the lockdowns but didn’t speak out and who shamefully continue to remain silent.
These passports will criminally target not only UK nationals who travel for leisure purposes only, but will take away the inalienable rights of all who have families and loved ones living abroad and who will now be prevented from visiting their loved ones. Insane and demonic – these are the only two fitting words that would adequately describe what is now taking place which is based solely on deceiving a gullible public into accepting a lethal vaccine on the premise of a monstrous lie via media brainwashing and censorship.
These demons violating the inalienable basic human right to travel will get their day in the people’s courts, whatever form it takes in a temporal setting but the highest Domain of Real Justice will be taking place on a far different scale, where the serial liar and abuser of power will need to face up to the enormity of their evil… in a more permanent setting.
If nothing else these criminals are forcing us to take a side. Two camps, and never the twain shall meet. It may be a bit rash. They hope to force the reluctant to comply but that may force a great many to resist, forcing them too early into the opposing camp when patience and lies may have got many on their side. This haste could mean time is not on their side and the program is beginning to get away from them and becoming in effect its own master. Compulsory carrying of digital ID is a big move, more totalitarian than any other, and it has to work for them but will it?
Forcing our hand may force something else. The communists took many years to get their total police state and Hitler needed six. This lot are trying to cut that time dramatically and it just might not work.
I carry a basic speech-and-text mobile ‘phone for emergencies, and I only ever switch it on if I want to use it. I’ve got a computer at home, so why would I need anything else?
If Bozo the Downing Street monkey wants me to have a fartsmone, Bozo can buy it for me – and I’ll “accidentally” drop it from a great height or tread on it the day it arrives.
Why should I spend several hundred quid on something I don’t want?
I don’t go to pubs, and won’t go anywhere I have to give my details to get through the door, and if that flunacy extends to buying food, I’ve got friends who’d be willing to do my shopping.
WHEN (not if) Bozo says I can’t travel outside my local area without “complying”, I’ll bribe a taxi driver to take me where I want to be. I’m sure that won’t be difficult. All he has to do is radio in to say he’s “going off-duty”, and I’ll pay in cash.
I rather hoped to visit Troy one day. Pity really.
I wonder if Aeneas had a passport when he led his people westward? Did Prythain have his papers handy when he passed through Checkpoint Druid? Did the Picts fiddle about for proof of their i.d. – buried somewhere, under all the junk, down inside their sporrans? Did Boadicea have her own personalized barcode? Did Arthur insist upon pathogen-free certification for the knights of the round table? It’s all gone so very wrong, Albion.
They are building s new wave of fear of the ‘Indian variants’. The aim is ID cards (or rather, the smartphone equivalent), continuous surveillance and compulsory medication.
Following on from that will be internal movement restrictions, removal of personal transport and complete control of all financial transactions.
The English are not British, remember. No-one defeated the British until a comet in 562, so that some European farmers could move in and then, on behalf of Rome, William. The real British are a small percentage. The island used to be a place of escape from stupid empires. There is still a memory of that but not so much the real thing.
@ lewis jones.
“The English are not British, remember.”
The English are most certainly British. The only way that your mischievous claim is tenable is if you are hearkening to the invalidated assertion of the Anglo-Saxon origins of the English.
The English are not, predominantly, Anglo-Saxon or Jutish. This has been proved to be an error, quashed definitively by genetic study over the last couple of decades. The English are about 70% R1b haplogroup; the Welsh 90%+ of the same Atlantic Modal Haplotype, (shared with certain Iberians.) The English are Lloegres and like the Welsh are discernibly Phoenician/ Trojan of stock – (re: “The Phoenician Origins Of The Britons, Scots And Anglo-Saxons” – L. A. Waddell’s, pre-Crick and Watson, astonishingly percipient, 1930 reassessment of British ethnic origins.)
“Albion” is the earliest recorded name for the British Isles. The intrepid Greek, the seafaring geographer, Pythias of Marseille, journeyed to Britain circa. 325 B.C. and called it the “Isles of the Albiones.” The fourth century poem by Avienius, claiming to be based, in part, on an earlier sixth century B.C. work, also calls Britain “Albion.”
Pythias also refers to Britain, upon occasion, as the “sea-girt isles” and quite charmingly also as “Merddyn’s [Merlin’s] corridor.”
The Coelbren tablet found in Lemnos in 1876 and dating to the 4th century B.C. calls Britain the “great green isle.”
You will be familiar with Cassiterides or “tin isles” as a Levantine name for Britain in antiquity, although there is considerable dispute as to whether “Cassiterides” referred to the whole of Britain or just part of it or to just the Isles of Scilly. The classical-era Greeks called Britain, the “Pretanic” isles, presumably after Prythain and from a time when the natives of Albion had begun to use this appellative to describe themselves.
The English are not Khumric (Welsh/ Pictish) or Brythonic (Cornish/ Breton) – they are, however, a branch of the same ethnic family – the Lloegres – who according to the chronicles of the Welsh cleric, Nennius, were the earliest of the modern-day “Celtic” inhabitants of Britain.
Anglo-Saxon/ Jutish or Scandinavian genetic markers aggregate to only about 10% of the total of the English paternal lines. The frequency is lesser still for English maternal-line mtD.N.A.
There is a more substantial genetic overlap (particularly in south-eastern England) with the Belgae, who, I believe, were another Celto-Iberian people with a Neolithic heritage within Europe and who were, anyway, related to the Trinovantes, the Iceni and other tribes of eastern Albion, although the Belgae/ Cantii didn’t seem to get along very well with the Catuvellauni whom they displaced from Kent to Hertfordshire.
If there’s a missing piece in the puzzle then it’s the enigma of the sunken land off Dogger Bank. There is a revionist conjecture that the Germanic people did not arrive in Western Europe from the Eastern steppes but, in fact, migrated from the inundated North Sea land mass of “Doggerland,” sailing eastward to western continental coastal fringes then on to Central Europe. I don’t know how credible this theory is though. If there is truth in it, then, it’s possible that the Neolithic Albions and the proto-Germans of “Doggerland” shared a linguistic tradition which is expressed ultimately in modern Frisian, as well as twenty-first century English. This would account for the undeniable analytic typology and syntactical similarities between Welsh/ Cymraeg and the remnant Celtic substrate of the English language and provide an explanation of how, equally, the more peculiarly Germanic grammar and lexicon of Old English (with its Celtic strate,) synthesized – to become the characteristic language of the Lloegres of Albion, a tongue which was later latinized by Mediaeval French of the Bastard’s brigand from Normandy, to amalgamate, after an unusually quick period of time, into what is the earliest recognizable form of modern English, the Middle English of Chaucer’s Canterbury.
Language and ethnicity, very often, do not correlate and contemporary Frisian genetic markers reveal that the Frisians are of distinct R1a stock and unlike the English natives, despite the similarities of the languages.
The English, Scots, Cymru and Irish are all, for the greater part and as revealed by D.N.A. investigations of the population of Britain, neolithic or later migratory incarnations, spanning the hunter-gatherer/ agriculturalist transition, of the early Iberians, the modern-day Basques, a people from Anatolia ancestrally, and from the time of the waning of the southern-most glacial intrusions into Europe; of swathes of Iberia, Aquatania, Sardinia, Gascony, Brittany, Ireland and Britain.
