Ministers will push for coronavirus vaccines to become mandatory for care home staff in England, Matt Hancock confirmed today.
The Health Secretary argued workers have a ‘duty of care’ to elderly residents, who are most at risk of dying from the disease.
Mr Hancock claimed industry bosses were united in their calls for a ‘no jab, no job’ policy, insisting good uptake was ‘our route out of this pandemic’.
Critics said any decision to make jabs compulsory would be an ‘incredibly bad idea’. And England’s care chief claimed the sector was still ‘divided’ over the plans, which were first leaked three weeks ago.
Department of Health officials have now launched a five-week consultation on the proposal, with a final decision expected by July.
Asked whether care home staff who refuse a vaccine could be sacked, Government sources told MailOnline: ‘Everything is on the table’.
The scheme will only apply to care homes for elderly people and does not include facilities housing younger disabled or vulnerable adults. NHS workers and home carers won’t be subjected to the new rules either.
NHS England figures show 78.9 per cent of care home workers are still to come forward for their jab, the equivalent of nearly 100,000.
The Department of Health and Social Care said nearly half of all elderly care homes do not meet vaccination thresholds.
SAGE has said at least 80 per cent of staff and 90 per cent of residents need to be immunised to provide a minimum level of protection against Covid outbreaks. More than a quarter of all Covid deaths have been care home residents.
Boris Johnson’s official spokesman previously accepted it would be ‘discriminatory’ to force anyone to be vaccinated.
Quizzed about mandatory vaccines last November, the PM himself said: ‘That’s not the way we do things in this country’.

Forcing people to have ANY medical procedure against their will, and even more so in the case of an experimental substance, is against the Nuremberg code, and therefore a violation of international law.
What happens to the old people in case homes when (not “if”) carers start dying or having serious adverse effects? Those places will have to close.
Soon it will be NHS workers, school teachers and everyone else considered essential.
It’s a pity we can’t force-vaccinate politicians and their banker “owners”, and NOT with placebos and retractable needles. If they want to force it on us, they should be made to take it first.

There will be heavy karma judgement on Hancock for this hypocrisy. He’s only escape clause will be if he is as truly stupid as the majority of the public, which I doubt.
I have to say, the few times I catch these mouthpieces of the global cabal speaking – usually via UK Column snippets – it seems they know they are people who have sold their souls and are awaiting eternal damnation…
In a 10th of April feature titled, “Do Doctors Have To Have The Covid-19 Vaccine” truthseeker uk highlighted a correspondence from the medical consultant, K. Polyakova, to the editor of the on-line British Medical Journal.
Polyakova’s concerns are ones that readers of this website will be familiar with but the urgeny of tone is distinctive and the post provides a fascinating snapshot of how vaccine adverse-reactions among N.H.S. employees are depleting hospitals of available qualified staff.
Yesterday’s edition of U.K. Column News reported that K. Polyakova’s letter of complaint had been summarily removed from the B.M.J.’s website. The page where the correspondence had previously featured, now carries a brief and rather vague editorial insertion stating that the journal had removed Polyakova’s correspondence because it had been
“used to spread misinformation and was attributed in a misleading way on certain websites…”
If Polyakova’s observations do contain misinformation, then it’s in the opening paragraphs, where the aggrieved doctor of the royal society, insists on the prophylactic efficacy of vaccines in general. So, yes, on that matter, the introduction is head-scratchingly misinformed.
“Attributed in a misleading way” I would presume refers to any contextualization of Polyakova’s comments where it can be imputed that the site reposting, is one overly concerned with publicizing the health risks presented by injection of Covid-19 vaccines.
At truthseeker, Polyakova’s correspondence was given verbatim, without commentary or interpolations and bearing a moderate and inconspicuous headline. I wouldn’t have thought the B.M.J.’s editor could have any legitimate reason to object to this site’s presentation but who knows? Perhaps “attributed in the wrong way” involves a value-judgement about the kind of websites which featured the piece. Alternative news sites are the likeliest places to have publicised Polyakova’s words. If so, then what the editor of the medical journal is really stating is that professional testimony is for professional consideration only and shouldn’t be allowed to enter into the non-expert public sphere, where such remarks could easily aggrevate and entrench cynicism. This would be hubris if it were at all honest. Supercilious arrogance though doesn’t require truthfulness.
Wilfully imperious censorship is tolerated throughout the professional media now. Journalistic ethics have atrophied to a point where they are scotched upon, with a sly wink and a grin – never mind by esteemed professional journals – the rot reaches down to even the lowliest of lowly local-newspaper reporters.

The criminals SHOULD end up in court for their blatant TREASON, as well as for crimes against Humanity, but that won’t happen while (((they))) control the courts. It’s like politely asking the equally obnoxious brother of a bully to stop his brother bullying you.
Simon Dolan and “Crowd Justice” have both learned the futility of trying to get the illegitimate government to allow it’s crimes to be challenged in it’s own courts.
The only way left, short of direct action, is People’s Courts, also known as Common Law Courts, but I’m not optimistic while zog has control of it’s thugs and trained killers in the police and military.
