Okay, so it was actually a republish of an article written by Elizabeth Gulino that originally appeared on the website Refinery 29. Still, Yahoo News would not have published the piece, entitled “Honestly, Satanism Sounds Pretty Great,” if it did not agree with its tenets.
In the piece, Gulino discusses the recent controversy over homosexual rapper Lil Nas X’s new “Satan Shoes Edition 666,” which he ripped off from the Nike Air Max 97 line without the company’s permission.
These devil shoes predictably stirred up the fury of the evangelical right, which Gulino described in modern terms as “conservative Christian Twitter.” Last we checked, Christians are not exactly allowed to use Twitter with any type of gumption, but we digress.
Gulino’s point, and the one Yahoo News also wants readers to understand, is that the religion of Satanism is supposedly not as satanic as many have been led to believe.
Unlike fundamentalist Christianity, which Gulino says is intolerant and hateful of others, the Church of Satan adheres to dogmas that are an almost perfect reflection of the tenets of left-wing “progressivism.”
In fact, Satanism sounds like a carbon copy of leftist politics, complete with all the pomp and circumstance about how “virtuous” it is compared to other religions and belief systems.
In attempting to make the point that Satanism is “tolerant” and “empathetic” towards others, Gulino makes the claim that this religious belief system is all-inclusive – except for Christianity, of course, which is still bad and not to be tolerated.
Leftist politics is Satanism in action
While Lil Nas X is not officially a member of the Church of Satan, despite his Satan Shoes gimmick, the religion’s leaders say he would be welcome in an instant should he decide to join.
Apparently, Satanism is where all the LGBTQs go, at least according to Gulino. Because conservative Christians allegedly told Lil Nas X that he is going to hell for being queer, he is now a living symbol of Satanism.
“The video itself is a symbol of the rapper’s relationship with the church as a gay man – they told him he was going to Hell [sic], so he went,” Gulino writes. “And he had a good time doing it.”
Gulino further praised The Satanic Temple’s seven tenets, which “preach acting with compassion and empathy, fighting for justice, upholding bodily autonomy and science, and reducing harm.”
On its website, The Satanic Temple further claims to have:
“… publicly confronted hate groups, fought for the abolition of corporal punishment in public schools, applied for equal representation when religious installations are placed on public property, provided religious exemption and legal protection against laws that unscientifically restrict women’s reproductive autonomy, exposed harmful pseudo-scientific practitioners in mental health care.”
Once again, you can clearly see that each of these points is shared by the Democrat Party, which maintains as its agenda each of the tenets of Satanism. If it is touted as a Democrat “virtue,” chances are it directly aligns with the religion of Satanism.
The Babylon Bee‘s Seth Dillon noticed this as well and tweeted about it, writing:
“Give this a read if you want to see how Satanism is indistinguishable from progressivism.”

The massive growth of Satanism in recent years is attributed by Lucien Greaves, the religion’s leader, to “the increasing overreach of the theocratic right.”
“I think when people look back and recognize that there was a booming nontheistic Satanic revival in the early 21st century, I think they’ll attribute that to – at least equally to – people like Mike Pence, if they attribute that to people like me,” Greaves is further quoted as saying.

The deceived disciples of Satan are following a defeated created being who was perfect until he rebelled against God. Unfortunately for them, they will be in eternal damnation with Satan and his evil angels. That is, of course, unless the human followers repent and accept redemption through the blood of Jesus. Life goes by quickly and eternity never ends. Satan actually hates his followers, but they are not aware of this fact because they are deceived.
People who want to be evil and get away with it always argue that Evil does not exist or that the Good/Evil boundary is flexible and that some other duality is dominant, so that what they did can be interpreted as good. Similarly, a liar, once caught, will start arguing the subtlety and nebulousness of Truth. The thief, when caught, will get philosophical about the nature of property, but not before. Even murderers have argued that their victims were now pleased in the afterlife (but the police do not publicise that argument).
In the Quranic discourse, Hadith on Dajjal, a physical description of the anti-christ is given. The Dajjal, called the imitator of “ibn Miriam” in Islam [the imitator of Mary’s son,] is said to be blind in his right eye and to have an unspecified defect in his left eye in addition. The blind eye of the anti-christ is described as resembling the loose skin of a grape.
If you look at a close-up photo of Lucien Greaves, co-founder of the Satanic Temple, you’ll notice that his eyes fit the Hadith’s description of the dajjal’s eyes perfectly. The Yale-educated Mr. Greaves is surely aware of this. I do wonder how his vision came to be impaired or if it is impaired at all. It could quite easily be a prosthetic deception or maybe even an extreme assertion of self-identify modelling via body-modification shopping, although the latter is less likely.
The Satanic Temple was only founded in 2012 and is a relatively new protagonist on the Black Magic fringe. Greaves and co. seized the opportunity to profit from the fractiousness of the terminally disintegrating Church of Satan, (which had been in decline since LaVey’s death over a decade earlier) to persuade its wealthy but increasingly alienated niche demographic to join with a new congregation. An organizationally-functional, refreshed and image-conscious Brand Satan for white or red collar professionals. A Renaissance Temple for the more discerning, modern-day devotée of harum scarum, hocus pocus and jiggery pokery.
Lucien Greaves could be fairly described as an entrepreneurial satanist but like the remnant Church of Satan he sought to supplant, his temple claims to espouse a non-theistic concept of Old Nick as well as a queasily familiar Ayn Rand-type cod-philosophy of “enlightened self-interest” which is saying the same thing, of course, as a philosophy of “heightened self-importance.” Carl Gustav Jung might have called it the “Intercession of the Auto-Ego” but then again, perhaps he might not have – given that he was substantially more intelligent than me and not nearly as frivolous-minded.
Devilry is a lucrative market. At the Satanic Temple, they wash the feet of the money-changers and they certainly don’t cast demons out either – they’re 100% demon-inclusive.
Despite their vaunted championing of First Amendment rights, the Satanic Temple is an agency engaged in promoting moral and legal incoherence in an effort to undermine the functionalism of civic society. In old-fashioned terms, the Satanic Temple engages overt sedition.
This slick newcomer to the Satanist fold is, without doubt, a jewish surrogate organization. A quite transparently Talmudic inspiration, in fact – and familiar enough to those of us who are attentive to jewish machinations.
The theologian, E. Michael Jones has expounded on the propensity for habitual disruption characteristic of jewish behaviour. [see “The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit And Its Impact On World History” 2008.]
Inciting social conflict isn’t a means to an end, however but a paradigm for a perpetual “dynamic of incoherence” in society, seeking to invalidate all organic notions of native unitary states and by crafts, prevent the expression of racial allegiances or even the mutuality of a recognition of cultural affinities.
The same Talmudic endeavour is given a Marxist treatment in Trotsky’s theory of “Permanent Revolution.”
The Satanic Temple is a Devil Worshippers treatment of the same. The begetters of chaos are rewarded with pleasure palaces and purses spilling with gold.
One thing you can say for sure about the damned, is that they’re rather well paid.
Now why would anyone want to be a Godly person restricting your body lust from flowing , Satanists can do all they want and let all feces spew on their faces
I’ve been boycotting Yahoo for years….
Erratum: Lucien Greaves is a Harvard, not a Yale graduate.
The scarring of his right eye was, apparently, the result of a “childhood accident,” the specific details of which, Greaves seems reluctant to share, which is understandable.
His real name is Douglas Mesner.
