The radio happened to be on in the background earlier on, and, on the stroke of noon, the presenter, with great solemnity, told the listeners there was to be a minute’s silence to commemorate the anniversary of the beginning of the draconian and inhuman mass national house-arrest they call the ‘lockdown’.
I was amazed.
They expect us, in capitulatory fashion, to virtually celebrate the removal of heretofore expected basic freedoms, the deliberate scuttling of the economy and the deadly removal of the provision of essential public services on the pretext of ‘protecting the public’ from a transparently phony global pandemic psy-op.
Will celebrating of the ‘New Normal’ become an annual national holiday, one wonders?
