Science, Politics, and COVID: Will Truth Prevail?
The following is adapted from a speech delivered on February 18, 2021, at a Hillsdale College National Leadership Seminar in Phoenix, Arizona.

The COVID pandemic has been a tragedy, no doubt. But it has exposed profound issues in America that threaten the principles of freedom and order that we Americans often take for granted.
First, I have been shocked at the unprecedented exertion of power by the government since last March–issuing unilateral decrees, ordering the closure of businesses, churches, and schools, restricting personal movement, mandating behavior, and suspending indefinitely basic freedoms.
Second, I was and remain stunned–almost frightened–at the acquiescence of the American people to such destructive, arbitrary, and wholly unscientific rules, restrictions, and mandates.
The pandemic also brought to the forefront things we have known existed and have tolerated for years: media bias, the decline of academic freedom on campuses, the heavy hand of Big Tech, and–now more obviously than ever–the politicization of science. Ultimately, the freedom of Americans to seek and state what they believe to be the truth is at risk….

cornelius – You are spot on. All I can add is that the servicemen did realise that the BBC was promoting WW2, the second part of WW1. It is a disgrace that anyone took part in the organised destruction of Europe. The so-called war heroes and servicemen were a disgrace and are not the greatest generation as the media calls them. They were the biggest fkn dupes in all of history who recognised the lies of the media and Church but still took part. Mind you, they were readily supplied with methamphetamine by the government, and I accept that people will ignore reality and do anything for the drug, which had been common amoung the aristocrats since the 1870’s.
Eventually, whether the people wake up now and throw the commie scum out, or whether we have to endure this lunacy for decades, as in Russia following the jew takeover of 1917, Humanity will get through this, and then we’ll have to re-think the “sciences” from the starting point of the first cavemen.

How many more unproven and unprovable “theories” must we pretend are established fact just because those (who shouldn’t be) in power say so?
WHEN we depose the lunatics and start the long journey back toward sanity, science will need to start again from the “Earth, Air, Fire and Water” beliefs of the ancients and advance from that point all over again. There are admittedly some instances where predictions based on the theories have worked out as anticipated, but these hardly constitute proof of the theories, so we’ll be better off discarding all pseudo-science, even though there’s a possibility of “throwing the baby out with the bathwater”, and starting again based on known observable facts.
