  6.  » Booksellers urged to add warning tags as anti-vaccination book sales surge

Introduction – March 5, 2021

First of all the books referred to below aren’t necessarily “anti-vaccination”. They simply do not conform to the official narrative, which says that far from protecting us vaccines pose a potential threat to health.

This is what makes them so dangerous, at least in the eyes of those promoting the official narrative. The last things the proponents of the official narrative want are a public who are well informed and who can think independently. Such people are more likely to question what they are told, particularly when there is next to no “scientific evidence” to support it.

That’s why booksellers are being urged to add warning tags to these books. It’s one step short of banning them outright, and the way things are going that could easily happen.

This hardening attitude toward dissenting voices is reflected in the way the shadow health minister Alex Norris told Sky News that it was “very sad to see these things so freely available.”

It’s also reflected in the way Sky News glibly characterises the books in question as “”medical misinformation” without any examination of their claims.

To make such accusations without evidence is itself misinformation, particularly when a substantial number of medical experts argue to the contrary.

In effect Sky News is trying to disparage those who question the need to get vaccinated against Covid-19, without examining why they are asking such questions. Making what follows genuine misinformation. Ed.

COVID-19: Waterstones and Amazon urged to add warning tags as anti-vaccination book sales surge

Sanya Burgess – Sky News March 5, 2021

Anti-vaccination books are being sold on Amazon and the websites of Waterstones and Foyles – amid calls for warnings on items to combat the spread of misinformation.

Top-selling books on Amazon include Anyone Who Tells You Vaccines Are Safe And Effective Is Lying, and Vaccine-nation: Poisoning The Population, One Shot At A Time.

The number of customer reviews and ratings on books like these show there has been a big increase in purchases since the pandemic began.

Sky News also found Amazon, Waterstones and Foyles are selling texts that spread other medical misinformation – from conspiracies around the coronavirus to denying that AIDS is a contagious disease.

In the UK, more than 20 million vaccine doses have been administered as part of efforts to defeat COVID-19, but worries continue that misinformation is stopping some people from having the jab.

Shadow health minister Alex Norris told Sky News: “Getting our population vaccinated is a massive priority and it is very sad to see these things so freely available.

“We would hope that retailers would act responsibly and have a look at whether they want to be associated with such products and whether they want to be seen to be profiting off such products.”

Anti-vaccination books for sale

Searching for the term “vaccine” on Amazon Books brings up a link to the government’s coronavirus advice, as well as a number of other legitimate texts.

But it also brings up anti-vaccination books, with texts such as Raising A Vaccine-Free Child appearing on the first page of results.

Anti-vaccine books also regularly appear in the top 10 bestsellers in the children’s vaccination category on Amazon.
