You can avoid regret in your future by living a life of grace and love today.
Make love the guiding light of your life. Immerse yourself into living God’s will, not your own.
Doing so is a day-by-day, moment-by-moment decision on your part. Make the effort. Do what you know you should be doing, what you were put on this earth to do.

I think the pagans were closer to the truth. If you want a god before whom there was no light only void, take the sun. Though not a conscious being compared to us it is immortal. It does look down upon and sees us all. The sun walks on water (its reflection does) and it turns water into wine (rainfall) which is described as its blood, while its body is the grain it produces in the fields which the Church represents with the communion wafer. If there is one God there are many and they have better to do than concern themselves with mortals. Polytheism allowed worship of various gods important to the individual while monotheism enabled social control. The elite can’t believe in God or they’d not dare do what they do.

Quite a profound and timely posting in light of what is going on in the midst of the Great Deception.
If our religious leaders were more like Stone in their guidance there would be much more exposure of the corruption and far less people led astray. But they are not. Unfortunately, most of our leaders are as brainwashed and compromised by the various powers including the media as the masses, and afraid to even look for the truth lest they become unpopular or politically incorrect.
The exposure of the corruption and clean-up process could begin in a more subtle way right under the noses of the corrupt controllers during live-stream sermons and services during the lockdowns. General petitions for things like a caring society, and government following the will of God, no doubt are tokens in the right direction, but unless elaborated upon with a focus on the specific problems at the root of everything, they fail the test of having any real effectiveness for guidance and for unifying the will of the faithful into actual resolve. The religious leaders of today do not want to go there lest their conduct be deemed too political by the authorities and they lose their charitable status and have to pay taxes. Thus, when it comes to specifics instead we hear them praying for things like deliverance from the ravages of the Covid virus and that the vaccines will be equitably and widely distributed.
Instead of such nonsense why not risk the threat and censure of having to pay taxes and start acting as real moral authorities to clean up our governments and the media from all of the obvious corruption. They do not have to name their own government in their sermons or petitions if they are afraid of the Gestapo coming to get them at 2:00 in the morning, but they can at lease have preach or circulation prayer petitions to God reform and end the abuses of power, worded is such a way it can refer to governments anywhere: For instance:
Leader: “We earnestly pray to you O’Lord for good government everywhere.”
Response: “Lord, hear our prayer.”
L. “We pray for people suffering from oppression through the abuse of power.”
R. “Lord, hear our prayer.”
L. “We pray for the conversion of government leaders and those in authority everywhere that they will seek and follow the Will of God.”

Is it ok that I weigh in on this topic of the “afterlife”? First, let me state very clearly that I am like you and was taught in Catholic church this concept of the afterlife.
I have come to the realization that this concept needs to be challenged as valid. Just because we are taught something as true does not make it true, and I do not waste my time to write this because I have some secret agenda or that I am some heretic, I am only after the truth, hopefully you are also. Seeing how the political establishment lies to us about everything, it is high time to stand back from all their lies and find out the truth about our existence.
First of all when you see a dead person, you can see with your own senses the person is lifeless and dead. A dead person is dead. But with religion you are taught they are not dead, religion teaches this person has a soul that survived. This concept goes way back to at least the Egyptians, who had tombs with their stuff for the afterlife. We now are amused by this, since their stuff did not go to the afterlife with them.
Science has not detected the soul, and it still remains to this day why humans are animated.
What is not considered is why we want to believe in the afterlife in the first place. No other animal believes in god or afterlife, so why do we? The answer is that we have a big brain and self awareness, so since we know we exist we do not want to not exist, so there exists this great potential to invent the afterlife and deny our death.
Religion is our invention to satisfy this need, religion is in the business of denying our deaths and making lots of money. The way they did this is by inventing the soul, the part that survives death, then as religion evolved not so scrupulous priests had addons like you must obey the priestly commands or go to hell. Religion uses a carrot and stick approach based on the never-proven assumptions of the soul and afterlife.
Now to terrify you into submission, religion invented a needy god who demands you behave a certain way or go to hell. This god is also said to love you and give you free will, but if you disobey god’s commands then you will be punished eternally. This terror and fear of an unknown ending after death is how religion still controls billions of people.
Now the good part, in order to control us, the priest said his commands were not from him but from Almighty God. The Judas Priest said you must obey God’s commands or be put to death, and the Old Testament are many stories of God commanding the Israelites to go kill other tribes who either disobeyed God or had a different god. This believe and obey my god and only my god is the root of how fascist governments were formed.
The legacy of the intolerant god is how we got Dr. Fauci and dictatorial control by one man. Even today, the Jewish ADL deletes and prosecutes anyone who strays from their narratives. This is exactly the same Jewish intolerance as in the Old Testament. All this control asserted on us by religious supremacists is proof that their original claims of god and afterlife was a sham to get control of us, that afterlife punishment was really about control of us in this life.
The way out of this mess is to let go of fear and face your own death without fear and admit that you do not know what happens at death, and accept that reality instead of playing make believe in some angry controlling Jewish god. Real freedom is achieved for the individual when Jewish doctrines are rejected as valid – and when you realize that Jews are pathological liars and very evil for controlling others by claiming supremacy as god’s chosen.

In my Taoist scheme, which has sixteen levels of yin and yang, with each level having a chaotic origin and a hybrid-compromise-order-solution, the soul is that solution for the birth-death yin-yang, level ten. At that level, life is the medium and extinction is the chaos/origin. All this “has” happened sixteen times, by my count. (You can also see it all as simultaneous). Mainly talking to Yukon Jack.
This Earth is going to be upgraded in dimension, I heard we are already shifting. There will no longer be souls allowed in the service to self modus operandi here. Only in the service to others. So, why Jack do we have such a capacity? Is it sustained by fear of death or by something more positive?
The Sadducees did not believe in the soul or afterlife but they believed in God and doing his will. If they did not do his will, they believed in punishment in this life and many people today essentially believe in the same thing. They live essentially by fear. Souls who have not really let go in trust from their temporal order believe in this way. The Pharisees did not believe in the soul, but they believed in the Resurrection, “the carrot and stick” thing you refer to. They lived by the law, not wanting to ruin their eternal reward and likely took less liberties with the Law, with more to pay back on the balance sheet at the end of the day for any transgressions. That kind of spiritual economy required yearly attornments and reckonings.
The problem is when a love relationship develops between God and the human person. God tastes our mortality and we taste His eternity which is enough to fill us forever. It is the connection where everything starts to make sense and chocked with meaning. What you offer in place is emptiness, where pain and death reign supreme and our true capacity is never realized.

I think it is probable that if anything happens after death then we will have no choice about it. For instance, on this site, NDE and going to the light is often discussed. There is a well developed theory as to why we go to the light, our soul is automatically attracted to the light, which is a mechanism is a very sophisticated alien soul trap, which convinces the soul to reincarnate back here. Essentially, souls on earth are trapped in a never ending reincarnation loop. Going to the light is a trick.
What this implies is that our souls have been put here artificially by some intelligence that is farming us, the standard theory is that humans are put on hell planets and farmed for their loosh. Obviously, I do not know if any of this is true, including the part that we have a soul. The soul is only a concept, and an unproven one at that. So if you are honest (which few are) you will also admit that you do not know what happens after death – if anything – and you also admit that the soul is only and idea in your head.

Chose eternal life. ” This is a very dishonest religious trick, you say choose truth and then you say choose christ, that implies truth and christ are the same thing. I do choose truth which is why I do not choose christ, because I KNOW the origin of christ, it is a sun god concept written into christianity by the Roman state which invented the religion, Josephus being the primary author.
Just because a believer repeats the mantra of eternal life does not make it so. An honest person who takes a little time to think about it and their own wishful thinking soon realizes that there is this innate need to beat death because of their own self awareness. Since you know you are alive, you have this big need to beat death, and thus you realize that religion is fulfulling this desire and need, and that means afterlife is wishful thinking for trapped souls.
So that could be the subconscious motive force why we want to believe because we want to beat the soul trap and move on. If, at a soul level, your free soul knows it is trapped, then is longs to get free again and go incarnate on a good planet, far away from the earth hell. This also implies our souls are not from earth, they were put here for the loosh farm. Like I always say, the farmer does not tell the cows what he plans for them – to milk then slaughter them.
In your religion Fred, you have an “end times” believe that the gods return and slaughter everyone. This sounds like a harvest to me, the gods are not God they are just another race, aliens, farming us, and humans are a perfect creation to do so. Words that are believed bind and are effective, they either burden you or empower you; uttered or written words if they come out of your heart will have to count… there will come a day when you have to stand on your own feet, but you can’t and not just because the logic of those words that now burden you was shabby, but because all drive that day is with the God.
Those words from Epicurus, on the surface deny God… but what does it promote/envisage? A free world…. free for all that is! Stand on your own feet wolf and not be a sheep! So what is wrong with freedom?! People often use the term freewill, however a truly free will is indeed a powerful will, so why not use the word willpower instead?! As we have discussed before the core function of human soul is See and Seek, both are interconnected.

The domain of logic/reasoning and the main pitfall associated to it is Duality

The domain of power/love and the main pitfall associated to it is Freedom
Purity of intention is based on the sum of these two. We are always under the influence of attraction forces and we seek what is the most attracting thing to us at the moment. In essence we are slaves of what we seek. Can anyone make sense of freedom between multiple attracting things?! Please note these things are choices that we have to make, we move towards one and we lose some others. We are rarely presented with a choice between something bad and something good. Imagine someone present you with shit on one hand and chocolate on the other to choose one, you would feel no resistance at all in choosing the chocolate or not-choosing the shit! This is why wise men say hell is hot enough and only using your senses you should not end up in hell and we are created to choose between good things and the better and that is when logic comes to play to find what is better.
So a choice is hard only when we are presented with multiple good things. Things become harder when we have to choose between a good thing available now and a much better thing available later! What we like/seek can be in 3 categories:
1- The things that we like but don’t have. (i.e. latest car)
2- The things that we like and have, but they will be taken away from us. (i.e. getting old)
3- The things that we like and should not touch!
The first two are easy to understand, the third one can be easily understood by Logic of Pleasure with the following principles:
1- Only personal pleasure matters and every individual wants pleasure! : )
2- We should constantly identify, seek and strive for highest pleasures! : )
3- We should sacrifice lower pleasures for higher pleasures “if” they conflict. : (The third principle ruins it for most people, this is where things get complicated! That third rule ultimately wants to make a warrior out of you. We may have to do hard work and sweat in order to achieve higher pleasures. In fact sometimes we have to pay upfront and rip the rewards much later! The motto “no pain no gain!” So we understand “the things that we like and we should not touch” part; a father tells his son, don’t fill your belly with so much junk cake because in just 15 minutes the Kebab will be ready!!
Having established our relationship with the temporal world and having recognized the reality of our choices it becomes clear that what we need is Power and Willpower rather than Freedom and Freewill.
Freedom is given while on your knees but power is earned while standing firm. Just think about it for a moment, how ridiculous it is when one say “I seek Freedom” while being affected and among multiple gravitation and forces of attractions! It is synonymous with saying: “I want to die!” …seriously a dead man can’t and don’t have to make choices, so he is free! We need willpower to navigate through all the nice and dazzling things and seek greater things further ahead.
Back to the wolves and sheep! The strong keep their position by cheating. What hope do the weak oppressed have? How can they get off of their goddamned knees and stand on their own two feet!?

The whole purpose of life then can be summed as: Some self-confident evil and cheating wolves losing to some God-confident strong willed humans, and the rest are sheep.

Some interesting comments here. It’s not often that people get so involved in a real debate, though as always there can be no final conclusion because we DON’T KNOW. We CAN’T know the whole truth because we’re NOT SUPPOSED to know everything at this point in our development.
I don’t pretend to know the name, or the nature, of the Supreme Being, but I know beyond any doubt (=totally convinced far beyond simple belief) that there is an ultimate authority and a purpose to life.
Perhaps there is just one God or many. I don’t know. I do know (as explained above) we existed before we came to this world and that we’ll continue beyond the death of our present body.
(Btw, how can anybody claim to know the mind of our non-human companions? They know Love, compassion and the rest of the higher “human-like” attributes, so who can say they don’t have a concept of an afterlife? Perhaps they do.)
Whatever the nature of the Creative Force, we only have to study what we call “Nature” to realise such intelligent complexity cannot have come about as a result of random chemical reactions. Wherever we look with an open mind, we find proof of intelligent design.
We don’t need a book to tell us how to live. We have an inbuilt sense of right and wrong, and any time we’re not sure of something we only need look to Nature for guidance.
Whatever we imagine the Creator to be, we cannot deny that “Nature” is the direct work of this supreme intelligence.
Even on the Human level, we show respect by respecting a person’s work, whereas we insult and offend him (or her) by damaging said work.
We have to eat, but beyond that, if we believe there is a Creator, we won’t go far wrong in showing respect for those of us we consider worthy of respect, and for the Natural World.
Some will disagree, but this is what I believe.

It means: “1) to cut, strike, smite 2) to cut from, cut off 3) to beat one’s breast for grief”

The word we’re looking for is “ἐσφάγης”, move mouse pointer over and see what it means:
It means: “1) to slay, slaughter, butcher 2) to put to death by violence 3) mortally wounded”
It is clear the meaning of this word is more in line with violent killing, butchering such as beheading with sword for example.
Christians argue that this verse refers to Jesus ع, but there are 3 issues with that claim:
1- According to Christians, Jesus ع was crucified and that in Greek is “σταυρωμένος”. Now before Mel Gibson’s take on Jesus’ crucifixion in his movie The Passion of the Christ, perhaps no one knew of the circumstances in such great accurate historical details!! Based on Mark 15:22-25 and Luke 23:44-46, Christians say Jesus ع was on cross for 6 hours before he died. The word “ἐσφάγης” however means to butcher someone quickly and violently, if someone was to be beheaded this word would be used to describe it; how can this verse then be about Jesus and if it is why not say he was crucified instead?
2- If Jesus is son of God, why should God shed his own blood to please himself to forgive people!
3- According to Matthew 10:5-7, Matthew 15:22-26 in which Jesus declares his specific mission for a specific people, and according to Revelations 7:4 which states that only 144000 of the tribe of Jews will be saved in the end! That is a can of worms that we shouldn’t open now. It is clear Jesus came to save and guide the Jews. So the butchered individual here can’t be Jesus ع as he is to save all people of all languages.

My question concerns the jewish practice of scapegoating, where they pretend to transfer their many sins to an innocent creature, such as a goat or a chicken, and then “punish” the poor creature for what THEY admit to having done wrong.
I say they PRETEND to transfer their sins (not pretend to commit the act) because we are each individually responsible for our actions, and we can’t suddenly achieve innocence by transferring the blame to someone else. If that were the case, mass murderers (for example) could choose to become blameless by transferring the blame to their victims (as the jews try to do).
What I don’t understand is how the murder of Jesus, as the perfect man, somehow “forgives” all our sins, past, present and future.
If I commit a crime tomorrow, but I believe in Christ, that doesn’t make me any less guilty. In fact, having knowledge of Jesus should make my crime MORE serious because I couldn’t claim ignorance of the sinfulness of my actions.
To know nothing MAY be an excuse in some cases, but to KNOWINGLY do wrong cannot so easily be absolved.
I really would like to find the answer to my question, which I repeat in case anyone missed it.
