There was once a famous Chinese executioner so skilful with his razor-edged sword that crowds would pay to watch him behead criminals.
One day he came to a small provincial town where the authorities had given him a large fee to do away with a notorious killer.
He entered the arena and made several elegant and delicate passes with his weapon.
The condemned man sat gloomily before him, looking unimpressed with all this fuss. ‘Just get on with it!’ he growled.
The executioner bowed politely, smiled and said softly: ‘Kindly nod, please.’ The murderer did so and his head, already parted from his body by a stroke of incredible swiftness, tumbled from his shoulders.
I think we in this country are like that condemned man. A terrible thing has been done to us but we have not yet realised it.
It may even be that the British Revolution, a horror that this country has repeatedly escaped by good sense and natural conservatism, has actually taken place.
In a lecture of astonishing power and force last week, the former Supreme Court judge, Lord Sumption, revealed in sad detail what has happened to our country in the name of Covid.
I have placed a copy of it and a recording on the Peter Hitchens blog and I strongly advise you to read and watch it.
It says that Parliament has been elbowed aside by Ministers who rule by decree.
Now, Jonathan Sumption is not just a brilliant lawyer. He is also a distinguished historian.
Last year he gave the BBC’s Reith Lectures, and they were the best for many years. If he has any politics I have no idea what they are, but he uses language with immense care.
If he says this ‘has been the most significant interference with personal freedom in the history of our country. We have never sought to do such a thing before, even in wartime and even when faced with health crises far more serious than this one’, then you may be sure that this is so.
When he says ‘Ministers are accountable to no one, except once in five years at General Elections’, you may be sure that this is true. This a complete breach with centuries of law and tradition, and who can say where it might end?
When he points out that laws, backed by tyrannical, ruinous fines, are now made at televised press conferences and enforced by bluff by police forces operating far beyond their authority, then it is happening.
He accuses the Government of showing ‘a cavalier disregard for the limits of their legal powers’. This, he says, is how freedom dies.
And behind it lies an astonishing, previously unnoticed seizure of economic power, which has made the entire Covid panic possible.
By long tradition, Parliament has had ultimate control over the Government’s purse strings. It must permit major spending specifically. Without this power it is just a mascot or a toy.
That power has been abolished. Back in March, unnoticed by almost everyone, Parliament vastly increased the Government’s freedom to spend what it liked. The old limit, for emergency spending, was increased from a mere £11billion to almost £270billion a year.
I cannot say where or how this will end. It is my own growing belief that Johnson and Hancock do not understand what they are doing.
Their decision to strangle our struggling economy once again in an alarmist shutdown is one of panic piled on panic and is visibly destroying the NHS they claim to be saving, as well as laying waste to those jobs and businesses they have not yet ruined or obliterated.
I see them as two schoolboys on the footplate of an old-fashioned steam locomotive, clattering into deepening twilight, too scared to call for help, too vain to admit their error. They started it moving by accident, foolishly pulling and pushing at levers whose functions they did not know. Now they cannot find the brakes. The safety valves are blocked. The whistle screams, the pace gathers.
Alas, the rest of us are trapped in the lurching, bucketing train behind them, unable to reach or influence them, let alone stop them.
A needless stampede towards the abyss
The oddest thing about the Panicdemic is that nobody would know it existed if the Government and its mouthpiece the BBC did not constantly seek to terrify us into a state of servile fear.
It does not help that they all presume the truth of the unproven belief that shutdowns control the disease.
In many years, comparable numbers of people die from respiratory ailments. Quite normally, 1,600 people die every day for all kinds of reasons, though it has become almost sacrilegious to say so. Most of them do not die from Covid.
Many die from other diseases whose treatment has been halted or reduced by the Panicdemic.
All such deaths are rightly mourned by the bereaved. Except that, thanks to the Panicdemic, they cannot hold proper funerals.
How long will it be before the realisation sinks in that we have been stampeded, quite needlessly, into poverty and darkness?

While agreeing that the dictatorship is incompetent, the fact that this is a WORLDWIDE power grab proves to my satisfaction that the traitors, while deliberately creating the false impression that they are just a group of bungling idiots, know EXACTLY what’s going on.
They have to go, not just here in Britain, but in every country of the world, if Humanity is to survive.

If the day of reckoning comes, don’t forget to hang the presstitutes.

And Peter Hitchens, good fellow that he is, knows this.
But what could be more terrifying than the fact that this runaway train is in fact doing what the fiscal masters wanted it to do. Not only the UK. What used to be the whole of the Western World, apart from a handful of lucky exceptions, is being pushed off a cliff. All by deliberate design. All like clockwork.
a few comments Mr Hitchens on history. England went republic under the The Lord Protector – Cromwell – with liberties suspended but 15 years later re-emerged with a king – his son Charles 11. all those who signed Charles 1 death warrant were hunted down and assissinated by his son. prior to ww2 personal liberties were suspended – Mosely, MP Capt Ramsay and others – were imprisoned without charge or trial and then freed – why because they had a dissenting voice to war similar to what is happening now. NHS staff are threatened with the sack if they so much speak against this covid 19 hoax. you will also know that people are sovereign NOT parliament but sovereignty of this land has been usurped by parliament since 1686 (note the Act of Supremacy under Elizabeth 1 and s61 of the Magna Carta) and common law of the realm has been supplanted by maritime law (contract which requires both parties to agree) and legalese . all acts of parliament and statutes (parliament being a corporation) since that date have not been signed by a constitutional monarch and therefore unenforceable as oaths of office do not swear allegiance to we the people and uphold common law . an example of legalese ‘do you understand’ an offical is legalese for ‘do you consent to give your details’ for which the answer is ‘no I do not consent and do not agree to contract with you’. this current covid 19 fake virus can be stopped in its tracks if we the people rise up and charge every journalist, editor, mp, lords, police perpetrating this hoax with fraud and treason under common law. common law trumps acts of parliament Re Dr Bonham case and thus these officials should nota bene ‘ignorntia legis non excusat’
If Boris Johnson and Hancock cannot see what they are doing then they are clearly far too stupid to be in their respective positions. They are clearly either being bribed handsomely or blackmailed for their roles in destroying the UK. Johnson has lost his relaxed, ebullient air, for clearly like MacBeth he is now ” . . . in blood, stepped in so far, should I wade no more” and Hancock clearly has neither empathy or a conscience.

This is Peter Hitchens. This is whom you’ll see on the streets, when he’s run out of his millions, made from writing his useless column on the Daily Fail and books, telling everyone how bad it is, carrying the billboard stating “The End Is Nigh”!
Peter Hitchens and Paul Craig Roberts, are like two peas in a pod. Both conservatives, both very wealthy from journalism and speaking about politics (the latter an actual politician) and both continually telling everyone what the symptoms are, but NEVER, EVER, EVER, what the ACTUAL disease is.
We all know what the disease is, here on the Truthseeker, but will Mr Hitchens and PCR? Nope, not on your nelly! They know damn well who’s behind all of this, but given the choice of telling the truth and exposing those responsible, they prefer to just be doomsayers, stating the BLOODY obvious and keeping their newspaper columns and lucrative book publishing deals.
So, Hitchens will just continue to do what he’s always done – doomsay and nothing will change.

I’m sure the loonies running this country know as well as you and Jonathan Sumption that their policies are disastrous.
Their attitude seems to be:
“We know that the effects of the first lockdown were catastrophic. It did absolutely no good. It will kill far more people in the long term than corona or any other virus. Hundreds of thousands more. Alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic violence against wives and children, and suicides are literally getting out of hand. The general adult population are suffering already from mental heath decline. This is even worse for children, and the full extent will probably only be seen as they grow up into adults who have no idea how to cope with life. So, lets have another one, to destroy the lives of anyone we missed the first time around”.
Well what a surprise.The English put this govt in power based on a lie which they sincerely believed.I know for a fact tory canvassers and mps were standing on English doorsteps at the last election telling constituents that if they did not vote conservative they would end up with a Labour /snp govt running Britain.Now call it what you want but I am going to call it out and out racism.Think very carefully before you or better still don’t vote at all because its probably rigged.

In today’s world the definition of Truth has been altered to appease the lesser educated and assumingly dumbed down and lazy dolt. ( “that is your truth”) As if it could be individualized for each person instead of being held to a level of rigid provability ! Today truth is defined arbitrarily by what one believes without the need for proof, facts or evidence to back that opinion. A long held belief , for example, has usurped the ability of a majority of peoples to identify a lie or deliberate deception.
Science which is supposed to to provable in repeatable independent testing that follows a set of clearly defined protocols is now relegated to opinions and unsubstantiated theory that are passed off as the truth by figure heads with large egos with ulterior motives.
This mode of crowd control or intellectual paralysis has been deeply rooted into basic and honest thought processing utilized by the populous by diabolical and devious con men and women. Deception, wielded by unscrupulous actors that utilize perceived trust of the populous has replaced intelligent common sense thought processing with deer in the headlights stupor and unquestioned acceptance and fanatical following. The propensity to substitute reality for a good sounding yet unrealistic fantasy has reached epidemic levels in and increasingly morally degenerated society.
There is an explanation for this, unfortunately most people will never be able to bring themselves to accept it due to biased beliefs and stubborn denials. The ability of the common man to discern fact from fiction has been co-opted by peer ignorance, brain entrainment and the desire not to rock a sinking boat.
C’est la Vie
For future times 2020 will be a serious warning about government and an equally serious one about the masses. We already knew, but it will be an encapsulation.
