Ian Fantom – Oct 31, 2020

There was something eerie about it.
They gave lots of statistics to confuse people. This was an abuse of statistics.
  1. They talked about an increase in deaths of people “with” Covid, not of deaths from Covid.
  2. They stated that the number of deaths of people “with” Covid was increasing, but they did not point out that the overall death rate was perfectly normal. In fact over the past few months it’s been slightly lower than over the same periods for the previous give years. So as the number of people “with” Covid increases the number of people without Covid decreases. So for the people “without Covid” that’s good news.
  3. The number of people “with” Covid appears to be the number of people tested positive for Covid. They didn’t give percentages, so I presume that the more people being tested the more will be tested positive.
  4. The PCR test is not a valid test for diagnosis of a disease. This was made clear by the inventor of the PCR test, who gained a Nobel Prize for his invention. It detects trace amounts of RNA. It does not detect quantities, or whether the person is made ill by the RNA, or whether he can pass it on.
  5. The removal of the requirements for ‘shielding’ (assuming that means wearing of face masks) is an admission that cannot maintain the pretence that they work, in the face of overwhelming medical opinion appearing on the Internet, but not being reported by the Mainstream Media, and being removed by near-monopoly social media companies.
  6. A reporter, in summing up, stated that the restrictions on type of exercise and length of exercise outdoors had been lifted. I don’t remember them saying that, but if it’s true, then that’s good news.
  7. The Prime Minister mentioned bringing in the armed forces to enforce this. That is bad news.
  8. The Prime Minister said that he had hoped to make this announcement in Parliament the following Monday, but because of press leaks was bringing it forward. His announcement of the Furlough scheme being extended, when it was due to end imminently, suggests to me that that would be the real reason he was giving the press conference now rather than in Parliament on Monday — apart, of course, for his usual disdain for Parliament.
  9. If that press conference had been given by the German Prime Minister, in German to the German people, they probably wouldn’t have got away with it, because Germans are generally less dumbed down than the English.
Probably the best slogan for getting the message out would be: “We are being lied to”.
