Did democracy die the other night when Donald Trump and Joe Biden scuffled, snarled and shouted over each other, showing utter contempt for anyone intelligent who was watching?
People who loathe freedom, such as the Chinese Politburo in Peking, must have rejoiced at this spectacle of incoherence and crudity.
But there’s no point in us feeling superior to those raucous Americans. Our own political debates are as mindless in their own way, and our elections decided not by reasoned discussion but by unchecked bending of the spending rules, by unscrupulous hidden persuaders.

If this was the end of democracy, it hasn’t lasted long. Full democracy only arrived in the USA in 1913 when they first started electing the Senate.
It finally came to Britain in 1948 when they abolished the University seats in Parliament which gave graduates extra votes.
I’d say it has not been much of a success, launching an era when people were repeatedly bribed with their own money, by increasingly cynical political careerists.
And since the advertising men got involved in the 1950s, slippery manipulators have taken over. Image, not truth, has been at the centre of every major campaign.
All very well, until the image turns out to be false and the promises undeliverable or untrue. It doesn’t matter that Harold Wilson preferred cigars to a pipe and brandy to beer.
It did matter that his supposedly mainstream 1964-70 Government launched a series of searing, painful and often mistaken changes in our society which had never been put before the people, and whose real nature had been concealed.

This is why you never get what you want when you vote. The debate is elsewhere. You are just required to endorse it by voting for it. Your vote, in the modern age, gives legitimacy to the powerful.
They will spend a lot of money to get that vote, but it is a false bargain. They do not really care what you want, but they have got a lot better at pretending that they do.
To me, it has been obvious for years that we should stop playing this game. The greatest power we have is to refuse to vote for people who insult us. My simple proposal is that the words ‘None Of The Below’ should appear at the top of every ballot paper.
In all seats where ‘None Of The Below’ tops the poll, all the losing parties and candidates should be prevented from standing in the rerun which would then be held a month later.
In the interval, new political formations which truly reflect the divisions in our society should select candidates who are quite free from the careerism, conformism and inexperience of life which seem to be the main qualifications for MPs in these times.
After the spineless confirmation of the scandalous Coronavirus Act last week – in which almost all MPs declared that they do not care about the country or the livelihoods and freedom of the people – can you think of a better idea? Begone, all of you, and let us have done with you.

What? The conservative party is supposed to oppose the socialists and they didn’t. There’s only one reason WHY they didn’t oppose them and that’s because the conservative aren’t actually conservatives. Could they, in fact be Fabians? Could all politicians actually be members of the Fabians, whose ploy is to infiltrate all parties, promoting that party’s ideology UP until they get elected and then radically changing it to promote the values of the left? Because, from what I can see, whether republic, conservative, democrat, socialist, what’s going on in politics is a full swing to the left with absolutely no right counter balance, whatsoever.

Ok, but how does Peter Hitchens solve the problem of those in power, ignoring the will of the power, staying in power and utilizing the armed forces against the people, you know, just what they did in Russia?
In the USA, Trump is about to roll out the armed forces, at checkpoints, to administer the vaccination, which will become mandatory very soon. The same is happening in the UK and Europe.
I don’t vote. I saw the madness of it a long time ago and for once, Peter Hitchens is essentially advocating anarchy – no rulers. It’s taken him long enough to come to the conclusion that mankind is far better off leading himself than being led, because those leading are power cravers and the last who should be in positions of power.
The problem with the west is the law system. And it’s this law system that really, in my opinion is the basis of the debate between who’s controlling the show – is it Rome, or is it the Jews? Many people will not realize it, but the law of contract (deposit and sale) comes from Roman law (Twelve tables 451BC). Yes, this is where all the statutes and acts come from, legislation so to speak. This law, therefore is PURELY based on finance. The other law, of course, is common law. Whereas the Roman law is all about criminality being imposed by those who do not fulfill the contract, common law on the other hand imposes criminality on those who injure another.
To me, the problem IS and always HAS been the acceptance of Roman law, into our society. Many people, without knowing, get themselves into contracts which leads them to automatically breaking that contract and become imprisoned by the state.
For example, taking drugs. Many people completely fail to see that the taking of drugs (heroin, cocaine, marijuana etc) IS NOT a crime. What? There are drug acts, but there are NO drug laws. If the taking of drugs WAS a crime then this would mean ALL drugs. Therefore no bars could sell alcohol, no newsagents cigarettes and no chemists sell over the counter prescriptions and cough mixtures etc. There would be NO big pharma (or any) because they’d all have been arrested for the illegal distribution of drugs. The only reason that people end up in jail, because of selling, being in the possession of and taking class A drugs, is through ‘contract’ with the police, simply by stating ‘yes’ when arrested and the police ask if you ‘understand’? By stating you do, you are consenting to being under their authority, upon which they arrest you and then you sign the contract by signing your name in the police station, to be taken to court and tried, UNDER THEIR LAW SYSTEM.
While I may have gone off on a tangent, it’s all to explain that the problem we face, in the west is that we adhere to ROMAN law instead of Common law. As long as you’ve not stolen from, assaulted or murdered another, then you haven’t committed a crime. The American constitution for example is really a written out explanation of common law. For example, the first amendment and second amendment are common sense. You cannot be punished for what you think or what you say. Speech is as natural as breathing. And the freedom to arm yourself, with whatever in order to protect yourself, also so.
If we completely followed common law, here in the west, we would not be in the position that we are today, simply because EVERY member of the police force, every judge, every solicitor, every politician, every armed forces personnel would, in fact, be guilty of having committed crimes, under common law – theft, assault and murder.
We do not need lawyers/solicitors and in turn a police force and armed forces. People need to take responsibility for their actions and their lives themselves. They need to understand common law. They need to refuse ALL roman law where they see it and not contract.
To get down to the very basics of living and being a human being, it is to reject the very concept of buying and selling. “What you say?” In order to buy something, another has to sell it. But in order to sell that it has to belong to them, otherwise it’s theft, a crime punishable under common law. You CANNOT buy the land, as no one has ever owned the land. Those people who originally ‘owned’ the land simply took it for themselves, when it did not belong to them. People will say that if they make a cake, they should be able to sell that. But why? The wheat to make the flower, the milk to make the cream, the strawberries to make the filling, you do not own. The land owns all and you do not own that land for reasons explained, regardless if you’ve paid ‘x’ amount of moneys for it.
It is the very concept of buying and selling that has imprisoned us. The world’s population has lost it’s spiritual journey and succumbed to being nothing more than consumer debt slaved, imprisoned within a system they are ignorant to, because they do not educate themselves on the concept of common law and life.
Forgive my long reply, but I feel it is vitally important to understand what I’ve stated. ALL politicians have broken every common law and the reason they are not being tried in a court of law, is because the courts of law HAVE ALSO broken every common law. All are protecting one another and they’ve fooled the public through calming their questioning of their wrong doing, through the use of continued ‘bread and circuses’, not forgetting constant indoctrination and brainwashing in their state, brain laundries, places that teach children to become consumers and debt slaves.
Everyone is free and those who are slaves only are so through choice.
Real progressive socialism is what Blair practiced, it’s not what you think it is, that’s how they’ve got away with it so long. But I bet you won’t believe me and keep on voting for people who are conning you. Read the article again a nd let it sink in.

As for voting in an indirect democracy, never have and never will from the time I was eligible in the mid 80s as conscience wouldn’t allow me too. How could I raise my hand for a mob of sociopaths, psychopaths and entitled narcissists who smirk at us every time they appear.
Just didn’t seem wise to weight my conscience with that action. After all, if all this mayhem death and destruction is done in the name of my vote then I got no one to blame but myself however for the voters that’s their conscience to deal with not mine.
And guess what? I was born and raised in a country, one of the only few that forces people to vote by fining them. I’ve been fined every election since the 80s and still never paid not one of those fines. But I do vote directly with the middle finger no matter whom takes the stage, so I suppose I participate in some way after all a direct action is better than no action.
