My other comment meant that it is an affectation to pretend to wonder why “everyone else is stupid”. It just means “I am clever”, which is redundant, as we will notice anyway, and it may be that society is to some extent an organic being, a small percentage of which is “the brain”. This will have some evil people in it who need fighting, whereas the “arms and legs”, practical people, are not in this fight. The good are supposed to win. The arms and legs serve whoever wins.
