A scientific advisor to the UK government says the coronavirus lockdown was a “panic measure” and a “monumental mistake on a global scale.”
Infectious diseases expert and University of Edinburgh professor Mark Woolhouse acknowledged that the decision to lockdown in March was a “crude measure” that was enacted because “we couldn’t think of anything better to do.”
“Lockdown was a panic measure and I believe history will say trying to control Covid-19 through lockdown was a monumental mistake on a global scale, the cure was worse than the disease,” said Woolhouse, who is now calling on the government to unlock society before more damage is done.
“I never want to see national lockdown again,” he added. “It was always a temporary measure that simply delayed the stage of the epidemic we see now. It was never going to change anything fundamentally.”
The professor asserts that the impact of the response to coronavirus will be worse than the virus itself.
“I believe the harm lockdown is doing to our education, health care access, and broader aspects of our economy and society will turn out to be at least as great as the harm done by COVID-19,” said Woolhouse.
Richard Sullivan, professor of cancer at King’s College London, previously warned that there will be more excess cancer deaths over the next 5 years than the number of people who die from coronavirus in the UK due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus lockdown, which is preventing cancer victims from getting treatment.
Figures also show that there were more excess deaths during the 2017-18 flu season (around 50,000) than the total number of people in the UK who have died from coronavirus (41,433).
However, a survey conducted last month found that Brits thought around 7 per cent of the population, 5 million people, had been killed by COVID-19.

What hole have these people just climbed out of. When a stupid know nothing like me (and I’m not joking) had been saying since March, that this was what was going to happen , then you need not tell me that these people didn’t know exactly what they were doing.. Good to see someone putting their hands up, but it needs a bit more leverage from that source to convince me of any genuine contrition.. For God’s sake NHS people, get a backbone and stand up to be counted.. You must have families you care about, or maybe you just don’t care?

The solution to the concentrated pollution of the ruling old NWO establishment is their gradual dilution.
What we have to decide is whether or not we are to rise up and rid the world of all of those who are in power and behind all of the deceptions, lies, wars, and usurpations of our most cherished values, equities, opportunities, and structures, or if we are going rely on the corrupted democratic process, the lying mainstream media, the big-brother, manipulating government bureaucracies, the charlatan puppet politicians, establishment-controlled courts, hijacked church hierarchies, brainwashing educational systems, and populations mostly made up of virtual people following in lockstep to every establishment dictate.
To free and reform any one of these corrupted and deceptive institutions from the maniacal hands controlling them will most likely take as long as it takes to reform or sanctify the human psyche, and that can only really be done on an individual basis. But surely there must be a way of cleaning house in some of our more directly-controlled institutions much sooner, without the filth and destruction of more injustice, suffering, deception and death in some bloody revolution.
If those who believe in the presence of God in their lives only could unite on common moral principles putting their theological differences aside, then rapid house cleaning first of our religious institutions could proceed, and from there then other institutions, simply because our numbers are actually so enormous. Deferring to compromising liberals and secular humanists who have assumed positions of authority in a fake moral neutrality has been our folly and what is most responsible for the downfall of our entire civilization. They have posited a universal pluralism in order to neutralize the moral guidance and restrictions of the Gospel, which they either have cherry picked or which they totally abhor. In our new-found unity they have to be the first to be jettisoned from our own institutions, then from all others. When we have cleansed our churches, we can start on boycotting media networks we find offensive, and at the same time we have to start using our solidarity for protection from all incursions of the state over the education, health and development of our children.
Operating again from solid bases of moral integrity, all political representatives would be screened and disqualified if they did not measure up. When the movement grows sufficiently, then the establishment cartel itself would be subject to the same checks and their powers and controls and will be more easily challenged and overcome. With a revolution or strict reform movement in our religious institutions first, the world will follow.
A virus is unstoppable. It will reach all living things eventually.
