It seems an obvious thing to say but police are human too. True, they are pension chasers with a predilection for pushing people around and accepting everything they are told, but they aren’t necessarily immune to reason.
I had a run in with British Transport Police recently who “graciously” determined that “this time” I wouldn’t be fined. The confrontation allowed me to make several points:
1/ That the masks didn’t work

4/ That as fellow citizens I was engaging them in a discussion that would inform their future democratic decisions.
