About 1 in 5 adults in England believe the coronavirus is to some extent a hoax, according to research on conspiracy theories by the University of Oxford.
In addition, researchers found nearly 3 out of 5 adults in England believe the government is misleading them to some extent about the cause of the virus, and nearly 1 in 10 strongly agree that China developed the coronavirus to destroy the West — which is utterly false.
“A disconcertingly high number of adults in England do not agree with the scientific and governmental consensus on the coronavirus pandemic,” the researchers found.
The research was based on surveys of 2,500 adults earlier this month and published in the journal, Psychological Medicine.
Lead researcher and psychology professor Daniel Freeman said the pandemic has the necessary ingredients to fuel conspiracy theories, including sustained threat and enforced change. He added that those who believe conspiracy theories are less likely to follow government guidance designed to save lives.
“Those who believe in conspiracy theories also say that they are less likely to accept a vaccination, take a diagnostic test or wear a face mask,” Freeman said. “The beliefs look to be corrosive to our necessary collective response to the crisis. In the wake of the epidemic, mistrust looks to have become mainstream.”

In the United Kingdom some people have acted on conspiracy theories. More than 100 cellphone towers have been burned amid unfounded conspiracy theories that the new mobile technology known as fifth generation either spreads the virus or the lockdown is a cover for rolling out 5G.
Stephen Powis, national medical director for England’s National Health Service, called the theories “complete and utter rubbish.”
Powis added that attacking communications infrastructure in the midst of a pandemic was self-destructive.
“I’m absolutely outraged that people would be taking action against the very infrastructure that we need to respond to this health emergency,” he said

Can we see the agenda? They are trying to establish that a substantial number of people have serious mental health problems. The group burning down cell towers… how many in this group work in some way for MI5? I find it amazing that our mega funded intelligence services failed once again. Remember the Stanstead ‘Plane Stupid’ fence fiasco? The police arrived just as they breached the fence, not as they arrived, just as they breached the fence.
It’s disappointing than the figure is only 1 in 5. If anything is to be done to challenge the status quo which is a network of criminality controlling our lives, the figure needs to be much higher. There is hope: 2020 is the year of the Apocalypse (revelation)
Let the “powers they think they are” live in fear of vengeance – rightfully so, they will be served it cold when the time comes, no machinations will spare them.

I feel sure Stephen Powis is paid a lot of money to say that. Perhaps many not so well paid will see a bigger picture.

he’s not outraged that politicians and media orchestrated a false narrative to lockdown the nation under a fectiuos model resulted in many deaths and destruction of small business, employment . and now forced vaccination.
5g is not allowed for debate or discussion , if one try to question simply “is it safe to human” , politicians got really mad defending it. that’s a give away sign that something isn’t right.
If there really was a new disease, even a mild one, why are there FEWER total cases than in a normal ‘flu season. Why are deaths from ALL causes down on previous years?

Someone dies of a heart attack and is found to have high levels of cholesterol, so they say the cholesterol killed him.
NO IT DIDN’T. It was the cholesterol that kept him alive so long.
The tiny DEAD particle they call a “virus” is NOT CAPABLE of attacking cells. These particles are the RESULT of illness, NOT the cause.
It’s like saying maggots create dog sh*t or firemen cause fires.

This is no conspiracy theory this is my own opinion, I believe that the leader of the country who was the first to point the finger of accusation at China was doing so in order to cover his own country’s involvement. Why would America give a grant of 2.5million dollars to a Chinese university that was working on a type of Corona Virus,Why?. How did this virus get out , was it by accident or by design,? Whichever there should be an independent criminal investigation. But I very much doubt there will be anything of the kind .
I further believe that it is a hoax and has been played out of all proportions by the Media, It is a known fact that deaths are being recorded as Corona when in fact they have died from other illnesses but this was all part of a plan to increase the levels of fear and confusion throughout the world community. If this virus was so aggressive ,so virulent so powerful there would have been people dropping dead on the streets and yet no records of this have been heard of. The government’s have not told the truth from the beginning , the reason being is that this virus is no more deadly than the flue viruses of the passed, I suspect that the undeclared outcome will be that someone or some large companies will make a vast amount of money from this hoax . Henceforth a lockdown to prevent people from discovering the truth. The government’s have continued to change their storyline every day, lies cover more lies but the truth will always remain the truth.

And What was so unique about this the birds were working like a team. Well since lockdown has happend were i live, New street poles have been installed with lights, I seen a video filmed in Sydney Australia a Guy and Girl with a Radition reader and Bingo so much radition 100 times more thrn what the is considered SAFE.
Well these light poles have shown up where i live, and a fr8end of mine has said they have been feeling tired and has a headache.

Don’t you worry in my large circle of family and friends. Everyone now believes it a hoax. And from day one my gut started to turn once again and I knew. I’m a retired firefighter and have had my eyes opened many times. Be it conflicts with govts by strike action or just observing falling towers. Immediately I saw the same tell tale signs.
@Julian: The same thing is going on here. No-one in my circle believes the official narrative. We’re all watching the clowns on TV who obviously don’t conform to their own dictates, and life goes on as usual in the neighborhood. Like you, I watched too many of these contrived theatre events over the years, with my first “What???” (cognitive dissonance) moment happening as I watched Lee Oswald, between two Texas Rangers, being gunned down in a police station by a guy who looked every bit like a B-movie Mafia hoodlum. James Cagney couldn’t have done it better. And don’t get me started on 9-11.
Or Reagan’s attempted assassination by the son of a GHW Bush family friend.
