A whistleblower at Southmead Hospital claims hundreds of its zero-hour contract staff are struggling to get any work.
The A&E healthcare assistant says the hospital has cancelled the vast majority of shifts for staff in her role and many nurses, after scheduled surgeries were suspended and some wards closed due to coronavirus.
She told Bristol Live she normally works full-time but is now struggling to get one shift a week – and has been told she is not eligible for furlough because of her zero-hour contract, though the Government’s website says any contract is eligible.
The worker said: “When I rang the staff bank office to ask how we’re meant to support ourselves, they told me we could apply for Universal Credit.
“So much for us being NHS heroes. The people clapping us across the country don’t know what is happening.
“We feel so unsupported by the hospital. I am constantly worried about how I am going to get work. It’s a nightmare.
“Shifts are just being cancelled with no warning. I believe we should be furloughed, but they are point-blank refusing to do it.”
‘Hardly any patients’
She claims “easily” more than 200 employees are in the same situation, including some nurses.
It comes after Bristol City Council’s new director of adult social care Hugh Evans said the city’s hospital bed occupancy was at an “all-time, unforeseeable low”.
The whistleblower has worked at Southmead Hospital for five years on a zero-hour contract, usually earning around £400 a week after tax through three 12-hour shifts.
19,000 cancer patients are expected to die from Covid & 4000 have died in care homes. These are number touted by the fake news. My guesstimate is that initially, well over 100,000 will die prematurely due to covid, many more in the years to come because it will take a long time to return to the 3-week wait for a first cancer appointment… this is just a target lead time, many people don’t even get this in normal service. Given that NHS wages take the majority of the budget, the government is quids in, and just remember, this is just the first wave, bigger government savings lay ahead.
Some may question the idea that the government is saving money with crisis costs. I disagree. They are rejigging the UK economy and social structures. Divorces and separations will mean more individual households, more rents, more mortgages, more utility bills & more VAT.
I would look at this as a five years plan. Conscription, deregulation, social deregulation, a very intrusive police state, travel restrictions with documentation (digital) & an attempt at forced medication.
Lord Heseltine did a good investigation into the UK economic malaise. He was interviewed by a BBC presstitute. H said that huge numbers of people (working age) had completely dropped out of the economy. These people weren’t doing paid work, they weren’t claiming benefits, so they were not looking for work. They weren’t retired, they weren’t in education and they weren’t volunteering. The BBC muppet wasn’t interested in following up Heseltine’s statement. Recently, traitor Priti Patel the Home Secretary said there were millions of people able to do the work of missing East Europeans. The main problem is that most Brits don’t live where the work is. I am sure the Tories have a plan.
During this 5 year plan, but more specifically during the next Covid wave, we can expect food rationing. We already have this, but it’s not official. I use several supermarket delivery services and I also visit supermarkets. These visits are very early & I am first in the queue. I head straight for the bread flour section, no bread flour & the stores tell me they get daily deliveries! House deliveries, no bread flour. After 4 weeks, 8 home deliveries, & 5 supermarket trips, no bread flour. Conclusion: the government is stopping the supermarkets from stocking bread flour. You can buy bread, you can buy bread in my local corner shop, but you can’t buy bread flour. The government is softening the sheeple up. You can buy all the wine, beer, spirits, sweets & chocolate you like, but not bread flour. Good job I’m a prepper, but being a prepper, I notice these things.

Hi Carl, same here where i live, at the big supermarkets. no bread flour. then i went to a small tesco supermarket nearby (not the express ones) and lo and behold! a few packets of bread flour, wholemeal version! and even two packets of self raising flour on the shelf – after weeks of nothing, i grabbed them with glee, hoping the supermarket police wouldn’t arrest me for going over the ‘allowance’. – i even found some packs of dry yeast!
avoid the larger supermarkets – the small ones seem to stock better 😉
it’s sad to know that health workers main issue is wage.but it could be address with scumdemic crisis .
it was based on fake data and analysis the loacdkown comes about. now we could ask is there a virus ‘covid19′ (here why ’19’ ? , 20,21,22…) or just a hoax.
we hear accusation/arguments of its origins china /us , its bad flue/ weak virus , celebrities’ claims ( infected almost all recovered) , its man-made/natural some scientists (indep?) , tests for infections isn’t actually to the ‘covid19’….
i haven’t heard fund free virulogist come out and claim that the virus is identified and here’s the details . and here’s the test for infections with “x%” accuracy .
as always once the establishment aims which is surely evil sinister has completed , or before someone somewhere leaks/proof (accidently/ intentionally) that its a hoax with out a shadow doubt. by then we move to next hoax. the pipe is full of hoaxes.

There is a good chance that this virus was planted in several spots at once to create this PLANDEMIC. Guilty party may not be China but some entity in the West.
If one just steps back just a bit one can see the 800 pound gorilla in the room. It then becomes clear that the New World Order would never…never..never allow a pandemic to disrupt international trade and thus the international economic system ( the NWOs source of power} unless there was a deeper agenda here.
