While mass media is steadily encouraging fear and panic, we actually need to calm down and take a deep breath. Here are some things to remember in these trying times.
In these past weeks, we’ve witnessed a series of major historical events of a magnitude that is still difficult to fathom. With these events came a wave of panic that is palpable both on a local and a global level. And, in some ways, that panic is understandable. The specter of an invisible yet deadly disease spreading at an exponential rate has terrified humans for centuries.
At the time of writing these lines, we’re at this strange period of uncertainty where we have no idea where this is going and what kind of impact it will have on humanity. How long will this last? How many people will die? Will the world economy collapse?
This unprecedented situation has triggered in many individuals a great deal of fear and anxiety – steadily fed by a constant influx of alarming news by mass media. Meanwhile, while the masses are physically confined in small spaces and mentally paralyzed with fear, things are happening behind the scenes.
In these trying times, vigilant citizens need to be more vigilant than ever. And that means taking a step back, taking a deep breath and remaining clear-headed.
With that being said, here are a few things we need to remember now and always.

One thing corona-thingy has highlighted is the failure of capitalism. When the shit hit the fan it couldn’t even assure us the means to wipe it from our own asses.
Studying Dr. Wodarg’s video presentation aired on this site yesterday, it is clear that either elements in the scientific community wanting funding and fame, or politicians for political, or both groups, are directly responsible for the unwarranted panic. It comes from no really serious threat of mass contagion and death.
We know now that the Chinese political apparatus deliberately exaggerated through the media the threat, with scenes of people falling over in the streets, people being locked in buildings from the outside with forced quarantine measures, industries being shut down, and supposedly 60 million people being isolated. That was all deliberate bullshit and we have to ask why. Could not the Chinese government ensure proper scientific scrutiny was implemented before inducing such a world-wide panic. Is their government simply insane, or was there another motive? Why would they want to exaggerate and not downplay the risk if they thought the world would think the contagion would come from their nation? Any why is Italy and my government in Canada doing the same thing, when by now they clearly ought to know that all people with respiratory problems and especially the elderly with pneumonia have a much higher mortality risk when infected with any flu. Is there some kind of common interests between the governments of China and various Western governments to stall the world economy with a fake pandemic? What is really going on?

Michael McNulty: classically understood capitalism ceased when Reagan (Raygun) allowed the PPT to be set up. This means there are no true markets and they’ve added to this by closing stock exchanges/trader dealing when they lose control. Since 2008 there has been no capitalism. We need another terminology, like Central Bank feudalism.
