Turkey has shot down two Syrian warplanes in Idlib as part of its offensive in the area, the country’s media says. The Syrian Army reportedly destroyed a Turkish drone on the same day.
Citing a correspondent, state-run Syrian news agency SANA said that Turkish forces struck two Syrian planes in Idlib on Sunday, with their crews ejecting and parachuting to safety.
The Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed it shot down two Syrian Su-24 bombers after one of its combat drones was destroyed by Syrian air defenses.

SANA posted a video of a Turkish UAV «»brought down near the town of Saraqib, east of Idlib.
A military source told the outlet that the Syrian Army closed the airspace in the northwestern part of the country, including Idlib Province, and that any aircraft entering Syrian skies will be considered a hostile target.

Ankara launched Operation Spring Shield in Idlib on Sunday, describing its task as “self-defense” against the attacks by Syrian government troops on Turkish soldiers maintaining outposts in the area.
Tensions in Idlib flared-up again this week after 34 Turkish soldiers were killed in a Syrian airstrike. Russia said it happened because the Turkish personnel were present alongside terrorist units being bombed by Damascus, and Ankara had failed to properly notify Moscow about its troop movements.
Idlib is the last-remaining stronghold of anti-government forces in Syria, with many belonging to jihadist groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an offshoot of Al-Qaeda. Ankara has long promised to separate the moderate groups it backs from the more radical elements, but Russia insists it has failed to do so.

Turkey is in fact just one more of the many Rothschild-cartel-controlled nations of the West, and it is doing the bidding of that cartel for Israel just like the US and other NATO nations have been doing since 1948. They are courting war with Russia, which was invited into Syria legitimately by the Syrian government, to protect it from our Western regime-change operations mainly to conquer more turf for Israel. The Rothschild cartel will continue to ignore the rule of law, the sovereignty of nations, even the wishes of the majority of the people of the West despite their control of the media, until the people of the West say “enough” and take back control of their nations.
This insidious, plundering financial cartel, kleptocracy, and corporatocracy has to be brought under the control of the actual people of the Western nations, or the way we are going there is bound to be a nuclear confrontation. The long-standing Anglo-Zionist plan is take or destroy one ME nation after another, including Iran, is well-known to the people in our nations, but is never an election issue. Once Russia becomes even more isolated it is next on the chopping block. The goal of the Western control freaks is for geopolitical hegemony over global finances, turf, and resources. They have never denied this fact and the people who go along with them, or are neutral to their exploits are as much of the problem as the people running things.
If any nation wants to preserve its self determination, self respect, and soverignty over its land, resources and culture, then in any major confrontation, it will have to support Syria and Russia, and not the corrupt despots running things in the West, who are also directly responsible for the debt-rigging, rampant cultural Marxism, and the destruction of our wealth, our Christian & family values, real democracy, our cultures, and our very nations. They have also so polluted and corrupted the pursuit of truth in science, history, education, and in the media, that nothing they say can any longer be trusted, and if we want peace on the planet then they simply have to go.
