The productivity gains over the last fifty years from information technology, robotics and the ‘free’ internet have been staggering. It costs today but a fraction of what it used to to produce goods and services. The time and manpower (sorry, personpower) costs of processing an ordinary business transaction, be it bank loan, insurance quotation or invoice payment have been reduced by at least 80% since the fifties. The declines have been even greater in factory production, with many facilities reduced to people-free zones operating 24x7x365 through the use of robotics. Simulation technologies have achieved similar reductions in the time and cost of design and testing. Farm automation and the Green Revolution have transformed the production of food. And to round off the cost of borrowing has shown a dramatic decline in recent years.
So why aren’t we living like stereotypical Frenchmen working 3-hour days and taking four months holidays annually while women luxuriate at home painting their nails with dirt-cheap modern conveniences doing all the work? Au contraire, we’re working harder than ever while the stay-at-home mother has now become a derided rarity. And on balance for less reward. Zero Hedge say that “A new report sheds light on [the fact that] 53 million Americans, or about 44% of all US workers, aged 18 to 64, are considered low-wage and low-skilled. Many of these folks are stuck in the gig economy, making approximately $10.22 per hour, and they bring home less than $20,000 per year. An overwhelmingly large percentage of these folks have insurmountable debts. Their wages don’t cover their debt servicing payments as their lives will be left in financial ruin after the next recession.”
Despite pre-fabricated robot-produced building components and architectural design automation tools house costs today represent a vastly higher proportion of take-home pay than they used to. In Britain this ratio has doubled in just twenty years from four to eight. Little surprise then that the proportion of 25-34 year-old who own their own house has collapsed from 67% in 1991 to 38% in 2016. Despite this more people are working, for longer hours and with less job security. The inflation-adjusted wages of working class Americans is lower today than it was 40 years ago.
Back in the fifties it seemed that most people lived reasonably comfortable lives, the husband worked in a steady usually-unionised job while the wife was a stay-at-home mother. For sure very few people lived in luxury but most owned their home, had one modest car, owned a phone and TV and went on a modest holiday once a year. And this was an economic environment where the norm was to have large families dependent on a single bread-winner. Still, people lived ok.
So why hasn’t the spectacular increase in production resulted in everyone rolling in wealth and indolence instead of struggling even to own a house? I don’t know but I offer the following as contributory causes:
Wealth is trickling up. A report in Bloomberg claims that the wealth of the top 1% now exceeds that of everyone else combined. The financialisation of the economy must play a major role in this with the extra wealth created by increased productivity and the money magicked up by the central banks being siphoned off by financial speculators. While vast fortunes can be made little or nothing is added to the wealth or lifestyles of ordinary citizens.
Then there’s the black/brown/Muslim undertow as White numbers decline in relative terms. These minorities are less productive, commit more crime, have bigger families and are more dependent on welfare. Their rapidly-increasing numbers add to the pressure on housing and healthcare provision. And the affirmative action racket results in a vast army of incompetent leeches draining wealth from productive Whites.
That’s my tuppence-worth, but I’m probably biased.

Henry George cracked the problem with “Progress and Poverty” – 1879. He didn’t properly understand credit. Nevertheless, when you first understand the justice of a land value tax in place of ALL OTHER taxes, it’s like a divine revelation. THIS IS the paradigm people need to understand. At the moment economists are like chemistry professors before atomic theory and the periodic table.
Neoclassic economics arose to erase land from proper scrutiny, conflating it with capital. (The four factors of production are land, labour, capital, and credit. George emphasised the first three.) When Neoliberalism arose later in the last century it was just a reinforcement of the the obscuring of economic truth. Economics used to be called Political Economy. “Political” informing the need for ethical consideration when making decisions. Milton Friedman – amongst others – as espoused the notion that morality etc has no place in economics.

Many whites are more concerned with the environment, than they are with reproducng, how are blacks, browns, etc, responsible for that? You have those who choose to breed and you have those who don’t, who put that stupid idea in their head?

From my perspective, most non-white residents of the UK particularly those of Asian and Muslim background possess a more positive work ethic and are more productive than are many whites.
A NZer has just won an Oscar at the Academy Awards…his name is Taika Waikiki and he is described as Maori.

The answer is very well known – on a gold standard there is constant deflation as productivity increases prices decline. If hand made bread is 5 cents a loaf and you build a machine to make 20 loaves for the same manpower the price will go down with competition.
So why are prices going up with all the fantastic increases in efficiency? Because the money volume/supply is going up faster. Everyone knows this.
So where is all the wealth being siphoned off going? Banks and military spending. We are working like slaves to maintain empire for the banks. Don’t expect the talking heads to tell you – they are paid whores of the system and their job is to feed you bullshit so you can’t figure up from down.
If you go to Switzerland – where immigration is strictly controlled then the min wage is $35,000 per year.

So why are we working more? For one reason our wages are lagging inflation, and to keep wages down capitalist nations constantly flood the work force with immigrants that will work at slave wages.
If you want an easy a fictional anecdote imagine you move to a tropical island and decide to build a civilization. So everyone works real hard and builds huts and roads and resteraunts plus plants the avocados coconut trees and papaya. After the society is built very little needs to be accomplished. most people can relax on the beach and do little.
I actually did this for myself, I bought a really cheap piece of land and built a home for cash and burned wood for heat. I had near zero bills just an annual $550 yearly property tax. That allowed me the leisure to hunt and fish and write. Anyone can do this if you are willing to live in the outback.
If you think you need a good credit score you are being fooled, I don’t have one because I have never borrowed money and I won’t because I know it is slavery and a wager that you can meet all the payments without default. Most people are debt slaves because they don’t know any better and can’t control their ego driven spending habits. Really do you need a $70,000 Tesla?
I can just imagine silly white ra ra pom pom twirling euranglolander males getting drunk and going on a shag spree to counter the invasion. So what will we have, a ton more fatherless kids on welfare suckling from the state so what’s the diff. It gets down to basics doesn’t it and something my forefathers taught me well, live within thy means anything above a flush toilet, two meals a day, some good reading material, soap, clothes from vinnies is pure luxury and entitlement. Now a job these days just means the more that comes in the more has to go out leaving you no better off.
