The Australian brush fire crisis is Biblical and Apocalyptic. The human impact is heart-rending. The heroic efforts of ordinary Australians to save others, to save property and protect the land is legendary.
The devastation of the land cannot be put into words. When the fires have swept through all that is left are a few of the healthiest native trees that survive bushfires, the trees that require bushfire to regenerate.
And guess what? After the fire sweeps through, Local Government Authorities (LGA) are on the scene to clear any surviving vegetation as “hazard reduction.”

Now, before the fires, it was a crime for property owners to clear fireload and engage in hazard reduction. But once they have swept through and the land is down to mineral earth, then the LGA comes and clears what’s left? Am I the only one out there in TV Land who thinks this is completely bizarro mundo?

Something very Agenda Driven is happening with these bushfires. This is a lot more than not letting a good crisis go to waste.

The drought and fires have nothing to do with water rights and water usage. The drought and high temperature is caused by water temperature in the Indian ocean. The fires are excessively large because there has been no forest management in some areas for 30 years, so the fires may be 30 times larger than usual. The destructive power of the fires is increased by the wind. It never has been illegal to reduce fire load or engage in hazard reduction load on private land, never ever. (so long as you clear not burn)
Yes the government at every level is failing and selling the country to corporate and overseas interests, but underground water and river water will not stop the bush from burning. Water in a gully will not stop the mountain from burning.
Please, please keep to the scientific facts and stop trying to push your personal agenda by mixing separate issues.

did anyone notice the picture showing a house burnt to the ground but all trees surrounding remained untouched? this cannot be and it smacks similarity of what happened in Californian fires – it was a controlled devastation see the videos and how fires burnt at right angles!
