It has been a long slow process with people losing their faith and making compromises on the way, such that their new life styles become at odds with the person of Jesus Christ. If you know anything about the socially-engineered relaxations over the past 60 years in the Catholic Church, you would not be surprised that critics like Bishop Sheen back in the 1970’s observed that in some of his retreat sermons to priests and nuns, many of the “liberated” ones would “writhe” in their pews at the name of “Christ”. Whether the rejection of the person of Christ in religious life or in our civilization is sped along the way by a cabal with control of the levers of secular power and the media, is no doubt a major problem, but nothing will ever change for the better without first the spiritual conversion of more people on an individual basis.

Yes, it is true that celebration of Christmas is not required by scripture. It is also true that the actual date has been melded with pagan dates. That, the Humility of Christ would not demand that we celebrate His Birthday and He was only born in the sense that He became incarnate, became one of us. Well, if the date is wrong does it matter, this is the day we celebrate the event, as Christians. If they take Christmas away, this could just be counter-productive for them. I remember other questionable events that happened in my city of Glasgow around previous Christmas times: A bin lorry crashed ‘out of control killing’ several people; a police helicopter ‘fell’ from the sky onto a city pub killing many. To Max X, if Jews created Christianity, they (Pharisees) would not have crucified Christ. They could have easily ignored him, but many began to follow him, they were the earliest Christian devotees who faced constant persecution in the following centuries. Christianity is not Judaism, but like Islam, they are Abrahamic (not that that carries any weight) but all three are distinct and separate religious belief systems.
