Vatican II was largely, and perhaps most famously, about Deicide – and the desire of modern Jews to be released from what they considered to be an outdated and unjust charge against them. A massive media campaign blitzed the Council Fathers to promote a change in Catholic teaching – nothing less than the exoneration of the Jews of complicity in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
A Declaration was composed to this end and actually passed by the Council Fathers; only to be rejected by Pope Paul VI. Deicide at the Second Vatican Council is the story of the struggle and failure by Jewish groups, and of Bishop Luigi Carli, chairman of the commission which reworked the Declaration for Pope Paul VI. It is common for modern-day Catholics to be told that it is now forbidden by the Church to criticize the Jews as they are God’s chosen people; that the crime of Deicide has been expunged and lifted from them; and that they are now our “elder brothers in the Faith”.
Further, that they have their own pathway to salvation, do not need Christ’s salvific work, and should not be proselytized and brought into the Church lest God’s plan for them is frustrating.
But what if it is not so? What if all this, which contradicts the traditional Catholic teaching of millennia, is simply the result of a massive propaganda effort by Jewish groups and their liberal allies upon the hierarchy and laity of the Catholic Church? It can be reliably stated that the Jews had for many years pressed for a Church Council to remove the charges of Deicide against them, ancient and modern, claiming that the charges were not merited, that they did not kill Christ.
Further, even if they did, that it was only a small group of Jews who killed Jesus, and that modern Jews could not possibly have the stain of deicide upon them. And even so, it was the bloody Romans who put Him to death.

The Jewish penalty for blasphemy was stoning to death. The Roman penalty for blasphemy for non-residents/slaves was Crucifiction. ( a roman citizen could not be crucified ) The Jews accused and had him executed by proxy so that the blood was not on their hands, the same tactics that are used today.

In some way we were all there or represented in the human act of denial and deicide as played out on God’s chosen stage, when we killed Christ. Every day we turn on backs to God and truth we leave Him for dead on the cross. It does not matter if the Romans were proxies or a cat’s paw for the Jews. They were experts in tortue and inflicting horrible deaths on anyone who went against the grain. So when someone says that he made me do it, that does not wash the blood away. As for blood, the Jews before Pilate said, “Let his blood be on us and our children.” Does that mean they in particular are guilty and that Pilate washing his hands was made clean, or expiated in any way? No, he remained from what we know in his own ignorance.
To begin with we are all unclean insofar as we are not connected to God in our thoughts, prayers and lives. Many of those who were there egging Pilate on and jeering at the foot of the cross likely converted afterwards, and that very blood that was shed and on their hands became the very cleansing agent of their salvation.
We always seem to want book answers to life’s greatest mysteries. We want clear logical answers in black and white. However, the only satisfactory answers one will find is to actually consume the faith and especially to live and enter into the mysteries. The Jewish people were specially chosen and they still are. As a Catholic, I agree with Makow and say that it is very wrong for the blind guides in my Church to teach people the Jewish people do not need Christ and that we are not to continue praying for their conversion. Not only does salvation come from the Jews to us and for us, it is also very much for them.
Since Jesus is a fictional character in a fictional sun god narrative, the Jews did not kill him. All this angst about Jews killing Jesus is just more nonsense caused by the black magic spell of Catholicism – which is what Roman State morphed into when it fell. The state was literally absorbed by the myth.

If you haven’t release yourself from the spell yet, well you are ten years behind the curve and you need to catch up because it is over, the myth has been busted, and now the real charge can be leveled against the Jews (or should I say the god damn Rabbis) who brainwashed their flock (tribe of blood thirsty neanderthal hityoutites) into the concept of sinning against God.

Well Virginia, no one is guilty, and there ain’t no sin keeping you from god, and the whole construct is utter bullshit and any believing theists who assert that evil are wrong and trying to control you with guilt myth. The sin concept in is a masterful stroke of luck in guilt tripping humanity and building empire.
The afterlife is another giant ruse of criminal masterminds behind salvation theology. There is no proof that your belief system has anything to do with the afterlife. Preacher’s selling the Gospel (god spell) are getting fabulously wealthy and don’t have to deliver the car. How many televangelists own jet aircraft? The power of Jesus revealed.
People really need to graduate from the savior myth, Jesus hasn’t saved a single Palestinian blood relative. The reason is that no man can walk on water, or raise the dead, or forgive you of sins. It is an idea only, sin is only real in your mind. No one can take another’s sins away. No one ever had this power unless they were ET with advanced technology.

Yukon Jack. How many years have you spent in the Yukon without a break? The cold up there can shrink your brain. It is good to come down south every no and then to get the blood flowing through your head. Historically, the evidence is very convincing and if you want reliable evidence, you should read “The Case for Christ: A Journalist’s Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus” by Lee Strobel. He started off like you a total skeptic. It is not a myth. He was a real person.
However, that is only part of the journey for people like Strobel. In his quest he also came to know how extraordinary the man Jesus was. It is only when you can see the vast difference between your own life and his that you can make the choice. Remain a four-flusher like I used to be around Dawson City or choose him. When you make a leap of faith, if He is not real, then you will find there is nothing there, and so nothing gained, nothing lost. However, when you know the difference, open up and make the choice you will never want to go back to four flushing.
