The Purpose of Life is Self Development

I thank a jogger for reminding me of a central truth that I learned in my 20’s but keep forgetting.
We were created in the image of God. The purpose of life is self-perfection.
by Henry Makow PhD
I was sitting on a park bench. The jogger was in his mid-thirties and dressed shabbily.
He looked down on his luck. He wasn’t wearing athletic apparel.
Mind had barely finished snickering when it received an epiphany from soul like the sun had suddenly rose. This man seemed to be struggling in life yet he was trying to improve himself. This endless, dauntless quest for perfection defines us as human.
Many of you probably know this. But society is becoming so toxic that some may be feeling lost.
“What is the point of living?” some may ask.
So I thought I’d remind these people that our proper sphere is personal, a place where we still exercise power. We must find balance by finding ourselves, by turning inward.
THEATRE OF THOUGHT

The greatest evil on earth is to promote self development.
What needs to be promoted, is conversion: https://bit.ly/2MGX8Z3
Extract from the letter I wrote to all my friends:
Quote:
When we are born, we have a sense of identity.
This sense of identity is without language,
it is completely innocent.
We are spiritual beings, without blemish.
My friend, when you see a newborn baby,
you see a child of God.
As soon as the infant begins to develop a sense of
awareness he begins to interact with his environment.
Those close to him encourage him to make sounds,
and to observe his surroundings.
The infant is now ready for the process of identification.
By connecting a word sound with an entity,
the infant identifies; he establishes his frame of reference.
If the infant identifies with an entity apart
from himself, a shift takes place.
His frame of reference shifts from
the ” I ” to the entity that is ” not I. ”
The infant is now separated from himself, the spirit.
The frame of reference is now an entity apart from
the spirit; an entity that does not exist in reality.
This entity is known as ” the self “.
The infant has lost his identity,
he is now deluded; a sinner.
Natural man has lost his identity.
The I, has been replaced by the pseudo I; the self.
The self is an entity outside of existence,
an entity that is the fabrication of the mind,
an entity divorced from reality.
Mathematically speaking:
the ” one ” has been shifted to make room for the ” zero. ”
Natural man’s frame of reference is ” zero ” nothing.
This my friend, is the message according to the Gospel.

The philosopher Socrates was reputed to have said that the unexamined life was not worth living. He taught about the integrity and fulfillment of the immortal soul in each of us and how we ought to aspire to the higher things of the more invisible and eternal realm. Then we had that fellow from Nazareth who proclaimed that the supernatural realm of God was in our midst, and by following him we would discover it and be a part of it. The fruits of that following were faith, strength, forgiveness, healing, hopefulness, kindness, balance, truth, joy, love, fidelity, love, calm, and peace, and a living connection to the eternal. But mankind proved to me more interested in having more and more things, money, power, pleasure and to lord themselves and what they had over others. They chose to be masters of their own fate, with freedom to exploint, plunder, kill, and cavort in a finite dark little pond, rather than to follow the trickling stream of running water to the vast ocean of the divine right beside them, and to sail with the angles. They carried on like this until one day God looked down and decided to leave the entire species to their own devices. Eventually in their restlessness, they blew themselves to smithereens. The End.

The most important requirement is missing:
There can be no conversion(restoration),
without REPENTANCE.
Quote from my letter:
The converts of this world know that when the Son of man
came the first time,
his mission was to bring salvation to this world.
The Son of man did not die for this world,
he was crucified, because of this world.
This world did not accept him then,
and this world cannot accept him now.
It is only a convert like you, my friend,
who can humbly say;
“The Son of man died for me, because I crucified him.”
End quote.
