Tensions are mounting over the situation in the Persian Gulf as Britain and America seek to form a united naval front against Iran.
The U.S. has sought French and German participation in the plan but both remain uncommitted. With the German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Olaf Scholz saying that he was “very sceptical” about a proposed maritime coalition. If the West was not careful, he warned, it could soon find itself embroiled in a wider conflict.
However, according to Colonel Richard Kemp, a former UK Armed Forces commander, the Royal Navy needed to be prepared for conflict with Iran.
“Unquestionably it is a matter of when, rather than if, Iran launches another attack,” he was quoted as saying.
Col. Kemp doesn’t say what makes him so sure. But his confidence leads us to wonder if we are going to be told more lies like the ones we were told about Saddam Hussein’s mythical WMD?
Or are the U.S., Britain, Israel and the Saudis planning a false flag to be blamed on Iran? If so the Western public needs to take note of where their leaders are planning to take them, because if conflict does erupt in the Persian Gulf it may not just be with Iran.
Like the Cuban missile crisis, a recipe for confrontation is brewing in the Straits of Hormuz with the potential for a much wider conflict beyond. Ed.
Iran, Russia Plan Joint Military Drills In Strait Of Hormuz

Iran and Russia are planning a joint military drill in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, the Commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, told state news agency IRNA.
According to Khanzadi, the Iranian armed forces had signed a contract for the drills with the Russian Ministry of Defense, but did not say when the drills will be carried out.
In any case, the news clearly points towards a continued warming of bilateral relations amid increasing U.S. pressure on both countries, particularly Iran.
“A joint Russian-Iranian exercise is expected to be held shortly in the Indian Ocean. The exercise may also be held in the northern part of the Indian Ocean, including in the Strait of Hormuz,” Khanzadi said as quoted by Russia’s TASS agency, adding that the drills were a turning point in Iranian-Russian military cooperation.
Meanwhile, The Express reports Britain’s new PM Boris Johnson was being pressured to invite Russia and China to join the European fleet that he is seeking to form to protect vessels in the Persian Gulf. If done, this would be a controversial move in the UK, whose own relations with Russia are the opposite of friendly and those with China are not exactly what one would call warm.
Yesterday, Reuters reported Iran had warned against European countries—France, Italy, and Denmark quick to join the UK initiative—sending warships to the Persian Gulf.
“They (UK and US) want to bring the European war fleet in the Persian Gulf, we think that such actions are provocative in the current situation,” a government spokesman told media. “It has a hostile message. It will stir up tensions.”
The fact that the news about the joint Iranian-Russian drills in the Gulf came on the heels of that statement speaks for itself: if Europe plans to present a united front against Iran, Iran has help in facing it.
The British Government are so desperate to curry favour with the US because of BREXIT, that they are willing to risk an all out war in the Middle East. Money, power, and self interest win out over the public good every time.
So , the European puppets of the USA , if they agree to join to the “American sponsored ” protection of the ” free navigation ” in the Persian gulf will become accomplices of the criminality of the USA and Great Britain who are trying to strangle the economy of IRAN.
I do not see why only the ” free navigation in the Persian Gulf should be protected by Navies of the NATO countries but not the free navigation off the coast of Gibraltar .
If the free navigation is not permitted outside the Persian Gulf , it should not be permitted inside . America and Great Britain should stop the acts of piracy against IRAN .
The NATO navies should quit being used to protect illegal acts by the USA and Great Britain . A war would only be the fault of western criminals that have no mandate from the public . The only mandate the “so called leaders of the west ” have is to the military-industrial complex . It is time to change and serve the interest of the citizens not the interests of the oligarchs . Open rebellion now.
